~ Introduction ~
Anrai Verstahl is nothing if not exhilarating. He's an on again, off again coliseum combatant with a mighty thirst for life and all the intoxicating risks it has to offer. (He's also been banned from the coliseum for many periods of time due to excessive rule-breaking.) When he's not fighting for gil and fame he delights in any kind of mercenary work - yes, any kind. It pays well and satisfies his hunger for a challenge. He's a smooth talker, adventure junkie, and experience enthusiast with a ton of stories under his belt - some true, some decidedly not - and he'll happily share them all over a drink or two.
~ Disposition ~
■ "Heart of gold, mouth of trash" would be the perfect tombstone inscription for this firecracker. Anrai has no problem expressing himself anytime, any place, to anyone. It's gotten him in trouble more than a few times, but he really just doesn't care. Egregious and outgoing to a fault, Anrai is far from a wallflower, and makes himself easily noticed wherever he may be. For all of his faults he generally means well... generally.

~ Strengths ~
■ Extremely loyal if you win his trust. Literally the life of the party, he is a joy to be around and there is never a dull moment in his company. Outgoing, vivacious, fun-loving and adventurous. He has little reservation about life or people in general and is the walking definition of free spirit. Hardworking and strong-willed, he will always see a project through to the end.

~ Weaknesses ~
■ Absolute loudmouth. Curses like a sailor. Can be stubborn and bull-headed when confronted. A little too prideful at times. Has a wild temper and often makes poor life choices that involve fighting other people or getting himself into trouble. Often takes personal risks without fully calculating the consequences. Not the brightest bulb in the bunch, but his heart is usually in the right place.

~ Mannerisms ~
■ Anrai is an open book. He's got zero poker face and you'll know exactly what you're dealing with when you're hanging out with him. Talks loud, and laughs louder. He's quite relaxed most of the time unless he's on a job or feels threatened.

~ Sword For Hire ~
■ Anrai prides himself on his mercenary skills, and has a very grey morality when it comes to accepting his jobs. Unless they personally put himself or his friends in peril, he'll do most anything for the right price. He's quite strong and rather brutal, attributing most of his expertise to his coliseum participation.

~ Cooking ~
■ Somehow, some way, Anrai is very skilled in the kitchen. He can cook most any dish presented to him and will have a blast doing it - his favorites are custards and other desserts due to his sweet tooth. This is information he doesn't offer widely, and he will get huffy and defensive if teased about it. (And likely never cook for you, ever.)

■ Drinking. He's not picky. ■ Fighting, whether for a purpose or to test his mettle against... anyone, really. ■ Spontaneous adventure and being outside. ■ Cheese danish. Bring him a solid cheese danish to win his heart.

■ Laziness and ineffective people. ■ Being in enclosed spaces; he is very claustrophobic. ■ Ghost stories. That shit's REAL. ■ Having to wait for anything.

~ Quirks ~
■ Has a tendency to zone out and stare into space for brief bits of time.... ■ Teasing people. The more he teases you, the more he likes you. ■ Loves swimming. Will swim any chance he gets. ■ Keeps a strange sleep schedule due to being "on" most of the time; it's not uncommon for him to be awake hours into the dead of night.

~ RP Hooks ~
You need something done - Anrai won't hesitate to sell his skills for the right price. No matter what kind of job you need done, he's rarely one to back down from a risk or a challenge if it presents itself.
You need something non-sinister done - He's a hard worker with a strong work ethic, and if you need a project of any kind seen through to the end, he's your guy.
You want to fight - Bring it on! Anrai enjoys a good scuffle for training purposes, or if you just want to duke it out with him.
He's done you dirty in the past - Anrai's no angel, and it's highly likely he's got a fair amount of folks with a vendetta against him for a multitude of reasons.
You want an accompaniment to any kind of party or function - Extroverted to a fault, Anrai is a great social companion and wingman.
You've heard the boy can cook - Don't embarrass him in public with this, 'cause it's -way- uncool. But rumors do spread, and this one, while close kept, is very true...

Yo! I'm Sami and I've been doing this roleplay thing for a long time, like a LONG time, like AOL Red Dragon Inn a long time. (I may have just dated myself there, huh. Whatever~) I'm fairly versed in everything from chat RP to journal-style games and in-game MMO style, obvs. I thoroughly enjoy creating characters and fleshing them out through interactive play. My main is Z'jai Kha and I've been playing him for years - Anrai is more of a recent character but he's a very good boy (ha) and I love him just the same.
I won't tell you the first video games I ever played 'cause that'll hella carbon date me too, but I'm a huge fan of the FF series as a whole, and JRPGs overall. If I had to pick a favorite game ever it'd likely be Suikoden II. I've played a fair amount of MMOs, from World of Warcraft to Guild Wars to SW:TOR and Secret World (which I preordered way back when and still enjoy lately, NGL, I'm a sucker for Eldritch lore-stuff) Other favorites include but aren't limited to the Persona series, Danganronpa (2&3 mostly), Skyrim, HL2, Civ V, or just give me a SNES with Super Metroid and I'm good. <3
I'm open to anything that may provide potential quality RP with my character. Anrai's ridiculously charismatic and real easy to get along with - in a similar vein, I'm not a shy person at all, so feel free to reach out to me anytime! :) I'm happy to roleplay in-game or over Discord (Sami#6248) most anytime. I thoroughly enjoy plot-building with others and creating meaningful storylines and will always jump at the opportunity to do so.
