Character

"Our procession was halfway between Falcon's Nest and The Convictory when the accursed heretic vermin ambushed us, the primitivity of their weapons outdone only by the primitivity of their ideas. The bishop and his guards were prepared, and we all fought like tigers against the relentless numbers of the hated foe. Yet, they were an unending tide, about to break and swallow us. When all seemed lost, a brief glimmer rose on the horizon, and by the Fury, what a welcome sight it was. A single dragoon dived down on the heretics with a spiked halberd and slashed the heads off of a trio in the first second. Her armour was metallic black, with a battle-skirt and a long tabard involved, which kept thrashing almost as wildly as the howling wounded of the enemy. Soon enough, a stray spell flung her visored helm off, which the knight underneath took with a silent scowl, revealing a porcelain face of sharp and noble features and steel-blue eyes of ruthless determination. Yet, even in the heat of battle, when beset by a dozen foes, there was a cold and stoic calm on the dragoon, one that doubtlessly put more fear into the hearts of the wretched dogs than any war cry could have. Her tall and lithe form bolted across the battlefield with deceptive speed and precise strikes, and before we could blink twice, the battle was already over, the last accord being the sickening crunch of a heretic throat crushed underneath her boot."

Inquisitor Thierry Dubois, disclosing the events of a night like many others amidst the turmoil of the Dragonsong War.

Tendencies

Likes

  • The thrill and adrenaline only the heat of battle can bring. Whilst not exactly a warmonger, she does have a knack for warfare. Whether practicing or conversing it. She feels right in her element.
  • Soaring among the Ishgardian clouds upon Griffin-back. Cecile loves the freedom of flight and the thrill of extreme heights.
  • The small moments of respite amidst a crackling campfire. Appreciated even more whilst in good company.

Dislikes

  • Despite recent events, she yet remains wary of dragons of any kind. Having been taught and raised to show them no less than hatred her entire life, this is something that will take time to change. If ever.
  • Those that would diminish and/or insult the gods. Particularly Halone, whom she worships faithfully.

Strengths

  • She shows great promise with the arms of a Dragoon; Lances and halberds. She does not quite yet wield these weapons of war with perfection, but she is determined to get there.
  • Her devoted loyalty to those she holds dear. Her nation included.
  • Cecile is of a courageous nature, she'll be hard pressed to flee when trouble is afoot. Lest it be for tactical reasons.

Weaknesses

  • Competently mingling with fellow Ishgardian nobles; This is an art she never quite mastered, and she doubts she ever will. She feels much more comfortable and at home with fellow soldiers. No matter their social class.
  • Scholarly pursuits, particularly those magical in nature. Whilst she has a decent grasp on how to wield the aether for martial purpose, magic is yet something that eludes her understanding.
  • At times, she has been known to be stubborn and reckless.
  • Cecile has an immense fear of large bodies of water where she lacks footing. Originating from a traumatic event she went through during childhood, where she very nearly drowned. As a result, she never was able to learn how to swim.

Relationships

Family

  • Ser Michael Callaway, cousin on her father's side. Ser Callaway is the owner of Callaway Holdings and a Knight of some renown from the Holy See.

Friends

  • Comrades among the Order of the Knights Dragoon.
  • Her Griffin, Foudre. She considers the beast a remarkably loyal companion and an invaluable asset when facing enormous foes.

Enemies

  • Any and all that would see harm brought upon Ishgard and its regions. She is a patriot, for good or ill. Pledged to its defence till her final breath be drawn.
  • The Garlean Empire and its never-ceasing desire for expansion.

History/Timeline

OOC Notes

I am a multi-paragraph roleplayer, but I adapt and mirror to my partner's style if requested. I do not expect those who roleplay with me to match my emote length or speed at all when doing smaller scenes, and likewise do not actively spam the chatbox with long emotes at public events. I will always prefer to do longer style emotes, but this is not a requirement.

Walk-up roleplay makes me nervous until I have gained confidence in a community I have not actively been a part of for some time. I prefer to set up scenes in advance, however this does not mean I want to script them—simply to plan to set aside some time to roleplay with someone prior to the scene.

Although I am not adverse to light scenes and slice of life roleplay, I prefer character building and plots fantastical in nature. Long-term stories are my bread and butter. As long as IC and OOC boundaries are understood, I am not adverse to erotic and relationship roleplay. Organic roleplay is what I value the most, so I will not force my character to do anything in a plot, no matter what.

I REFUSE to participate in any indecent RP scenes with players that are under the age of 18 regardless of character age. (But especially if the character is a minor as well.) Extensively, I refuse to participate in any active RP scene involving indecency to a child.

I enjoy mature themes and am OKAY with writing about most disturbing NSFW scenes. These include but are not limited to the following: violence, horror, gore, drug abuse, language, nudity, sex, sexual violence, physical and mental abuse, manipulation, psychological, torture, rape, abduction, human trafficking, etc.
