Cerys Grants
CERYS GRANTS
- Cerys is a Miqo'te female. She has two eyes of a deep blue. She dons short length red/rose colored hair. White tribal markings are apparent on her upper cheek bones as well as on the back of her neck. She has a slender body and a rather clean complexion.
- On the outside she appears as a very bubbly and friendly character, but she tends to cut herself off from others and tries not to get too close. She can be very precise and analytical just like her mentor before her, but her emotions can sometimes get in the way of her judgement. She can be overly-confident and coy at times. She backs down fro ma challenge and is always willing to prove her worth.

This is a list of the items that Ventus currently is keeping on his person. Feel free to use this information if it comes up logically in the course of RP, such as pickpocketing, a search, etc. Last Updated: 2/23/2017

Themes/MusicNote: Vocal Songs are attributed themes in which the lyrics seem to relate or partially relate to the character. They don't mean to resemble the character's voice. The instrumental themes are meant to give an idea of the atmosphere around the character. Songs with character names (example: "Tidus's Theme") are NOT meant to indicate that the character is like the theme owner. I just find the instruments and melody fitting, not the character the song was originally addressed to.
Ventus's reserve of equipment is both vast and specific. His years spent studying and training in the arts of Aetheric-manipulation and Swordplay have given him a keen, focused command of his own abilities, though he rarely utilizes his thaumaturgy in combat any longer. Time spent in the Immortal Flames saw him trained in basic hand-to-hand techniques as well; though he hasn't expanded this training, he has honed it down to a precision. Most often, Ventus employs his arsenal of swords--utilizing a specific piece for the particular demands of various missions. He rarely travels anywhere unarmed, but also rarely makes effort to escalate any situation into violence. As much as he's a teacher of history, he's a student of combat...and enjoys training.
Here is a list of recent and/or notable fights, roleplay scenes, etc. that Ventus has been a part of. This list is by no means all inclusive, and serves more as a general reference as to what he's been up to.
Please be aware that limit breaks, though cool, have some rules attached to them. Any limit that is used has to be agreed upon by those in combat at the time. An example would be if you wanted to use your level 3-1 limit break in combat. You would check and make sure that it wasn't overpowered and so on and so forth. Also remember that all limit breaks that are used normally drain the user completely after use, unless there are special circumstances. They are limits, you break your threshhold and barriers to perform these actions. The other thing to remember is that your limit breaks are NOT unblockable. They still have the same rules as normal RP combat, but most will take into account that they are a limit break and will treat it accordingly. One more thing to consider is that canonly, you will NOT start with access to all your limit breaks. Perhaps you will want to follow the game and have to use or defeat a certain amount of enemies before you unlock them. Perhaps you base your limit breaks from traumas given to the character, or by seriously dangerous situations.
A powerful attack or technique available after some requirement during battle is fulfilled. In video games, this is often indicated by a refillable or chargeable gauge on the menu allowing the player to gauge when it will become available, how strong it will be, or so on; and the most common requirement is taking (or giving) damage in combat. Thus, it's usually a kind of Evolving Attack. May overlap with Super Mode, or may be a form of Desperation Attack. It may be accompanied by a Super Move Portrait Attack. The popularity of the trope, and its assimilation into numerous forms of media is a testament to the widespread effect that Final Fantasy VII, the originator of the term, had in making RPGs more mainstream. Although a nearly identical game play mechanic appeared a few years earlier in Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals, the concept has become synonymous with the Final Fantasy games series and the term is now widely used as a catchall term to describe such attacks.
Not much is known on his childhood other than the fact that he was a resident of Mor Dhona, before the Garlean invasion upon Silvertear Lake. The war had obliterated his homeland and any trace of the residents that lived there. As a child of ten years he witnessed the destruction of Mor Dhona, and the desolation left by the Garlean Empire and the Father of Dragons, Midgardsormr
He lived in the Orphanage in Gridania until he was eighteen years old, and became a big brother figure to a girl named Rai Vaara. She's been following in his footsteps ever since. When Ven caught wind of the Garlean empire continuing to push their agenda and influence upon the realm, he joined the immortal flames in hopes to defend his homeland and preserve the peace.
Ventus quickly climbed the ranks of the Flames upon joining, showing that he was more than capable of leadership on the frontlines. A man by the name of Light Armeigo followed in his footsteps, becoming one of his best friends and second in the two years they remained within the company. It was during the calamity that their dreams and hopes were shattered, on the battlefield of the Carteneau Flats. Bahamut rose up from the falling moon of Dalamud, and wrought havoc upon the land. When the red moon shattered, many of his friends were lost to the destruction. After the chaos had ended he found himself in the forests of Gridania, alongside his friend and comrade; Light.
After the calamity, he returned to his independence, wandering the land mostly as a sell-sword for other companies who may have had need for his research. Though a lot of his time alone was spent fighting a daunting illness, which overtook him soon after the fall. Ventus' became a well known leader of an organization of mercenaries called The Last Hunters. A group of individuals that aided the three Grand Companies (if it benefited them.) They protected the cities and its citizens from harm of the many fiends of Eorzea. They kept bandits at bay as well and helped the various hard workers of the trade.
A period of time that is unknown. history and memory faded at this point. All is known is that something terrible happened, causing the deaths of many friends due to his research.
Ventus and Light recruited warriors and scholars of similar ideals to create a Free Company of heroes that would help in the recovery efforts after the calamity. Donning the flag of Ul'Dah, they represented themselves as Ul'Dah Garden, the seeds of tomorrow. The Garden grew exponentially, becoming a force to be reckoned with in the short year it was founded. They achieved many feats of valor and even became one of the most technologically advanced Free companies to date--next to the Garlean forces. Using specially augmented Aether-weaponry, they were able to thwart the beast tribes plans to resurrect their gods for a short time, and even aided the braves in suppressing the empires Ultima Weapon before it could destroy what they fought so hard to protect. Ventus worked very hard to develop an academy that trains it's students in offensive strategy, as well as Aetheric-channeling. The academy itself trained its' mercenaries how to utilize both the aether and their skills with combat in conjunction with each other, developing a unique and very diverse solider. Other secondary subjects consisted of Alchemy, Blacksmithing and other trades that you could mostly find within Ul'Dah. EXiLE A military force within Ul'Dah Garden. They were dispatched around the world on missions and to clients on request, and were paid for their efforts as a soldier of Garden. These were the soldiers that had worked hard to earn the trust and respect of their peers within garden, having completed dangerous missions and exceeded all expectations within their classes and exams; These were the elite of Garden itself. Unfortunately, fame brought unwanted attention; and that attention caused the fall and destruction of Garden. It's not exactly known how the Garden fell, but many suspect it was due to aetheric research that caused others to attack and rebel against them. Some theorize that the headmaster; Ventus Zeruel, became too greedy and power hungry to lead his forces, and thus inevitably caused the fall of his own company. After which, Ventus once gain fell into seclusion and vanished for another two years. It was during this time he perfected his research as well as recovered from the impending illness that caused his life to fade, and age to progress faster than expected.

Ventus has led a varied and diverse life, and those talents he's honed can be used on any number of fields or fronts. He has traveled throughout most of the known realm, and for much of his life, simply made a point of being a help to anyone he deemed worth his time. That said, there are particular regions during particular times where it might have been possible for your character to have made a connection with him.

I'm fairly laid back person, and generally feel that any established guidelines are capable of being bent in exceptional circumstances. Still, for the sake of making sure everyone's on the same page here, let me make a few mentions in particular:
