GENERAL INFORMATION

Dy'vanoh is quick to smile and quicker to fight. His easygoing and friendly nature conceals an undercurrent of combative belligerence. In fact, if one seeks a fight they won't need to look past this impetuous rogue.

APPEARANCE

Dy'vanoh is a man of no fixed style. He'll dress as a sailor or a nobleman, a prince or a beggar. In fact, any unclaimed clothes that fit might find their way into the Tia's possession. The only constant is the daggers that ever accompany the darkly tanned male, veritably whistling with aether and telegraphing their owner's identity. The daggers once belonged to a man known about limsa as a braggart and a brawler by the name of Swift, and fell to the seeker's possession along with the name. Dy'vanoh's build is neither slender nor thick and his leaf-green eyes twinkle when he smiles genuinely, which is often. Additionally the rogue tends to paint wild swirls and lines on his own body before stepping out of the Dutiful Sisters' HQ.
Aspects That Stand Out:
A slight twang to his voice that's both pleasant and foreign.
A brand on his left pectoral in the shape of a diremite.
One of the seeker's earrings was once a fishing lure.

PERSONALITY

Dy'vanoh presents himself as agreeable and friendly. He often lays out madcap plans in the guise of lucrative ventures in attempt to draw others into his life's goal. Still, if pressed on certain issues the rogue will throw a punch, still-smiling, at his harasser in the hopes of distracting them with a fight.

L I K E S

Rum. The best way to improve Dy'vanoh's mood is with a drink. Even moreso if it's free!
Money. If money is the root of evil, Dy'vanoh will happily launch himself feet-first into the Seven Hells.
Rare Items. One might assume his totem is a magpie more than a diremite.

D I S L I K E S

Being Touched. Should anyone touch, shoulder-clap or hug the seeker without warning he may react violently.
Jibes about his masculinity/virility. As an aspiring nunh such jokes or insults get beneath the seeker's skin. With such comments it wouldn't take much to cause the hotheaded rogue to start swinging.

H O B B I E S

Botany. Surprisingly the seeker has a green thumb, and finds gardening to be quite calming..
Drinking. What? Drinking's a hobby too, right?
Brawling. Mostly Dy'vanoh likes to save the fighting for when he's being paid for it, but he's happy enough to fight for no reason.

S T R E N G T H S

Loyal. Despite his fiery nature, Dy'vanoh is fiercely protective of friends and colleagues. Nothing, not even torture, would make him give up a loyal compatriot.
Quick-thinking. Need to rethink your plan on the fly? Dy'vanoh's probably already got a few tricks up his sleeve.

W E A K N E S S E S

Easily distracted. Nothing makes a plan fall apart faster than when your ideas-man is punching a friend or foe, or the man in question is being lured away by an object of his desire.

M O T I V A T I O N S

Aspiring Nunh - Despite making his roost so far from his tribal home, the desire to earn the title is ever present in Dy'vano's mind. The seeker's exploits, his fighting and his slowly-growing coffers are all part of that end goal.

RUMORS

N P C

Some of these rumors are untrue, speculation, or are greatly exaggerated.

◢ Common Rumors - Easily overheard. Use these freely!
"Oh the windy daggers. Whatever they are. Belong to a fella named Swift. Went away ta sea and came back with a different face or so I hear. Best steer clear. He's trouble in any guise!"
"I know that guy! Yeah! He's a shorter bloke what's always babblin' about cards. You can find him 'round the Wench usually."
"If you see that bastard tell him he owes me a pint for blacking my eye. Who punches a man over a joke?!"
◢ Uncommon Rumors - A little more difficult to hear. Use sparingly or ask first!
"Every fortnight you'll see him buying seeds from that Gridanian merchant when she makes port. You gotta be quick though!"
"One time I got that fella deep in his cups and he told me he's not even the first Swift that's been round these parts! He's the only 'Swift' I know."
◢ Rare Rumors - Very rarely overheard. Please ask before using!
"Swift's looking for something big to take back home. Keeps hinting that'll be the 'end of Swift'. Ten gil says he's marching right to his death but you didn't hear it from me!"
"Turns out that blaggard's from a whole tribe! Imagine! A whole tribe of that rake runnin' about causin' trouble! I count meself blessed I only ever seen one. That's enough for me!"
"One of the lads took a job with him and caught sight of him with his shirt off. There's some kinda brand there. Looks like a bug of some kind."
"Swift? Got the stink of the Shroud on him. Dust and moth scales too. If he's from about there his kin's probably holed up in the ruins someplace!"

ಌ OOC NOTES ಌ

OOC INFORMATION

Player Note
I'm in an Aussie timezone so if you wanna plot, RP or run content it's best done in the american afternoon/evening. I'm fine with running events with small groups or just in pairs, even roleplay inside of dungeons.
Personal RP Limits
I can't RP with large groups of 6 or more. Anything more than myself plus four ends up resulting in someone getting left out or the adventure running overlong. Additionally I'm not seeking IC (or for that matter OOC) relationships. If it happens, it happens. But it won't be in the first RP.
I will play Violent, bloodthirsty scenes. Kidnap, gore, drug use and alcohol. Voidsent hunts and monster hunts are okay, as is slice of life. Swashbuckling adventure is a favourite.
I won't play Rape or forced ERP scenes, dismemberment of my own character, his death or massive disfigurement. Light scarring is okay. I'm not interested in adventure with non-canon races, other game imports or god-modders. We roll like men or we die like weebs!
Disclaimer
Stuff to be aware of.
There's a small number of things that make Dy'vanoh swing a punch at someone without warning. The above listed things where his masculinity is impugned, when someone taunts him too freely or touches him without warning or permission. I'm fully prepared to RP the consequences, but be aware a fight is likely to happen unless they know each other well.
I as a roleplayer go through fits and bursts of anxiety. Please be patient if I go radio silent or don't reply to a post immediately. If we're on discord together I can take a day or so to reply.

CHARACTER TIDBITS

Potential Plot Hooks
Need something shiny stolen? Or perhaps you need something returned from the clutches of some ne'er-do-well to its rightful owner.
Need an introduction to the Rogues Guild? Swift might be your guy!
Dy'vanoh also likes to moonlight as a bounty hunter, tomb raider or mercenary. So long as there's a decent payout in the cards, he'll be down for anything!
Need someone skilled at tracking or identifying voidsent? Swift's not a friend to the lurkers but he's certainly got experience pouring out their cups!
Character Lore Adherence
I'm extremely lore-compliant. One thing I particularly love is theorycrafting and storybuilding. That being said; I'm not averse to some lore-bendy stories, so long as they don't wander too far from suspension of disbelief. Additionally I use this guide to speaking the thieves cant:
