Small of stature with a toned, lithe figure, the mannerisms in which Es'mena holds herself make up for what she lacks in height and weight. She usually stands strong and always with her chin held high, her green eyes sparking with curiosity or interest as she keenly keeps a tab on her surroundings. Long, thick, bright auburn tresses rest over her shoulders and down her back, remaining mainly loose save for a bit tucked back around her ears, which are almost always flicking this way or that. Her skin is soft and sun-kissed, a tell-tale sign of time spent on the deck of a ship, on sea or on air.
She smiles often when business is mentioned, but it is almost always tight and with a very obvious effort behind it. Her laughter is the same, should it be done for the sake of making an extra gil or two. However, should she smile or laugh and the cause be genuine, both are said to be infectious and light on the air, illuminating her features to something more soft than what is normally present.
Her age is difficult to decipher by looks alone, but she holds the air of youth about her, her tenacity and driven nature holding much energy behind it. She is also skilled with her tongue, not only able to speak many languages, but also to hide insults by weaving them throughout compliments. Another skill of conversation is to always keep the topic on the person she is with, expertly avoiding any attempts to get to know her better. Who would want to do that, after all?
Scars & Markings: Several little cuts, burns, and bullet marks litter her body, but none are particularly noteworthy. The most visible is a small cut over the bridge of her nose.
Voice: Holding a strange amalgamation of accents, making her difficult to place, her voice itself is feminine but laced with a rasp that is customary for those that shout often.
Es’mena’s personality varies depending on many factors. For those that she has little interest in or offer little to her, she is indifferent towards. She is quick to wave them off or dismiss them, giving her a label of rude. However, for those that have a chance of being a customer either by way of a business partner or a passenger, she is quick to become charismatic if not pushy to have her way be the only way.
One thing that can be agreed upon no matter who is asked, she is fiercely driven and loyal to those that have earned a place on her crew.

■ Of the Skies Accustomed to flying? Perhaps you have heard of the Runner, a mid-sized airship that is known for transporting goods as well as passengers. With a modest crew of 20-30, the Runner is a comfortable form of transportation, though the captain is a bit stringent on where people may wander when not in their cabins. Perhaps you or someone you know has flown on the Runner for business or pleasure.
■ Black Market If you are accustomed to smuggling rings and know how to keep your voice down, perhaps you are aware that some (okay, most) of the goods that the Runner transports are not exactly legal. Hidden beneath its passengers and legal cargo, there is often something a little less legal…and a little more profitable. Thankfully, the ship, crew, and captain all seem to be very, very good at keeping these items hidden and off the books.

■ A Salty Past A pirate or a particularly savvy sea-faring individual might recognize the name of the airship captain. Black-listed from the majority of pirate organizations for heinous crimes against her own, one of the most-quoted crimes is that she lead a mutiny and killed her captain, but ultimately failed, thwarted by the second. Since then, she has not returned to the seas.
