General Information

Freya Mavanix is the current primary heir of House Mavanix. After years of living in the shadows out of fear from a powerful rival house, Freya has recently become the public face of her revived family name and assists her father, Barbas, in public relations. She holds the title of Director for the Avalon Heritage Museum, handling all internal affairs of the group on behalf of her father.

A powerful sorceress, Freya is extremely intelligent and resourceful. She is naturally talented in prophecy (though has minimal control over the ability), and is known to dabble in darker arts as well. In the past, she has been known by others as 'Ekidnah,' though she has since started using her birth name in its place.

Appearance

Freya is about average height for a hyur female midlander. Her skin complexion is an olive colored tan. Her eyes are a somewhat startling gold/yellow hue and her hair is a pure white color. Her body shape is typical of most adventurers, well defined. While usually not evident to most, she sports a number of tattoos across her body much like the rest of her family. These tattoos are sigils used to help enhance certain magical properties and serve as wards against specific magic. She sports twin tattoos on her face, one on each side. Other less visible tattoo locations include her upper center back, her left forearm, the left side of her stomach, her right upper thigh, and the top of her right foot.

Freya is typically seen wearing a variety of loose fitting clothing that generally has random openings to showcase just a minor amount of skin. As she is a representative of House Mavanix and the director of Avalon, she typically takes her appearance quite seriously and is practically never seen in anything overly revealing or inappropriate. She is almost always seen sporting various jewelry pieces as well that differ day by day. Her favorite color in clothing is typically a combination of black and white, with a higher leaning toward white.

History

Freya was born to Barbas Mavanix and an unknown woman. She grew up with a relatively normal childhood until she turned about 8 years old, when she had her first prophecy. The aether channeled from the vision caused her hair to go from black to white permanently. School children who witnessed the event also saw her eyes turn pure white while it happened, causing fear to spread like wildfire at her school as other children thought she was a monster. Freya would become more and more socially isolated as a result, burying herself in books and studying magic from a very young age with full support from her father.

Upon turning sixteen, Freya would start becoming increasingly involved with her family's secret organization known as Decretum Umbra. At age nineteen, she started using the alias of "Ekidnah" in place of her birth name and became a forefront member of Decretum Umbra. She continued to master various dark arts and honed her powers of foresight. Though she, like many seers, is incapable of full control of her powers of prophecy, she has mastered ways in which to trigger visions of potential outcomes.

Prior to the Calamity, Freya assisted Decretum Umbra in its attempt to take over House Mavanix before a dreaded prophecy of its downfall could occur. They were thwarted by Outer Heaven via manipulations of Cartius Felstar (who would ultimately fulfill the prophecy and destroy all of House Mavanix, sans Decretum Umbra who faked their demises and went into deep hiding).

After the Calamity, Freya remained largely stationary in the Decretum Umbra hideaway in Gridania with her father and two brothers. She assisted the group in research and constantly strategized ways to undermine Cartius Felstar and/or revive House Mavanix.

Barbas.png
Barbas Mavanix
Patriarch
Leader of Decretum Umbra and the newly revived House Mavanix, Freya's father has always been a mystery to just about everyone he crosses paths with. He comes across as quite amicable to most individuals, but is as fierce and dangerous as they come. A master of manipulation, elemental magic, and politics, Barbas is also extremely protective of his family.

Marvani.png
Marvani Mavanix
Prince of Illusion
Freya's older brother with whom she grew up. A self-proclaimed master of illusion magic, Marvani has always been more focused on stagecraft and touring the world than family affairs. However, he remains a staunch supporter of House Mavanix's overall goals and will not hesitate to assist when called on. As the eldest sibling, he is naturally protective of his sister and younger brother both.

ZacAvatar.png
Zacriel Mavanix
Self-Proclaimed Sorcerer
Freya's younger brother. Zacriel is skilled in elemental based magic, much like Barbas. Though she spent minimal time with him growing up due to being separated for years, she remains extremely loyal and protective of Zacriel. She believes him to be the future true heir of House Mavanix, though he is nowhere near ready to take the responsibility. As such, Freya willingly takes the burden of the house's future unto herself for the time being.

Other Relations

Seraphine Felstar $
Mavanix Savior
Prior to the Calamity, Freya and her family stood as enemies of Seraphine and Outer Heaven. Those differences quickly faded as the two came to understand one another and even respect each other. They would part ways when the last Mavanixs faked their deaths to hide from Cartius Felstar's fury, and made no contact with Seraphine for years. Eventually, Freya called a secret meeting with Seraphine to reveal she was alive and request Seraphine's assistance in taking down Cartius once and for all. Seraphine obliged and led a small group into the Felstar Manor to gather evidence against Cartius and help put him behind bars. Since then, Freya has viewed Seraphine as a 'savior' to House Mavanix and has remained close to her distant 'cousin' since.
