Hime is incredibly short, even for a miqo'te - she often finds others around her towering over her, save for some au ra and lalafells. Due to being short and quite fit, she has had others describe her build as stocky; her general physique is one that is impressively well toned, the woman rather curvaceous in any areas that she might be lacking. Her professions both require her to keep herself in shape, and she takes pride in making sure her body is at peak performance. Her appearance is one that is pleasant on the eyes - until she speaks and demolishes the illusion. Rather crude and blunt in most of her statements, it's hard for people to find her charming, her mannerisms seeming to often cause people to become apprehensive when conversing. She has developed the tendency to sit in quiet comfort and people watch instead in order to avoid upsetting the wrong person. She's often spotted hanging around towards the back of the crowds, the tanned seeker clearly listening in but opting out of any discussions. Making eye contact with her tends to be something that most shy away from; her eyes are a shade of blue that she has both simultaneously heard be described as intimidating and mesmerizing to look at, the bright intellect on her features often exemplified by the tone. Aside from her gaze, the woman often seems to be lost in her own world, zoning out of conversations around her with little warning. It is something that has unsettled many when trying to talk to her; in a few rare moments, she even is caught muttering to herself, albeit it is always too quiet for others to discern. Hime also has the tendency to be stoic, her emotions rarely readable, save for when she ends up angry. Seldom few gain opportunities to see her outside this rather apathetic state, Hime having taken extensive care to become accustomed to masking her emotions. BODY & DEFINING QUALITIES. There are a few features that immediately catch one's eye upon viewing the miqo'te. One would be the sheer amount of muscle behind her; not one to shy away from exposing skin, it's often easy to see the blacksmith's well toned body from years of her professions combined. She seems rather proud of herself, and often challenges people to "friendly" contests in order to show off her strength, such as sparring. Hime has two different sets of golden eye tattoos on her features, drawing attention to her eyes almost unintentionally. These tattoos vary in shade, although both seem to shine faintly as if made of actual gold. The woman's body is incredibly scarred, easy to notice on a glance whenever she happens to be wearing something that exposes skin on her torso and back. Having declared her body as a canvas for stories, Hime has gained an impressive amount of tattoos over the years, the ink often barely peeking out from her attire. These tattoos are almost all tribal designed, elaborate swirls that seem nonsensical at first glance. If gazed upon, it is clear that most of these tattoos intend to tell a story - often, they detail a woman and a beast in a battle. Notable Possessions                    ➤ Respite: An incredibly large great sword that Hime uses in combat. The name of choice is one that has been noted as peculiar. ➤ Suit of Armor: Designed from a material of not-quite metal, Hime's armor is intended to keep her flexible and agile on the battlefield, giving her a drawback of being vulnerable. ➤ Sword Earrings: Used as a mark of an example of her devotion to forging weapons, Hime is seldom seen without her earrings; she goes as far as to sleep with them remaining in her ears. ➤ Black Choker: A simple black choker that she wears; unassuming in appearance, one can think that it is important to her due to how rarely she is seen without it. Personality BLUNT. Hime seems to have little restrain when it comes to conversations, letting people know exactly what is on her mind. Honest to a near fault, she tends to quickly lose the friendship of those that would prefer less honesty. On the flip side, anyone that appreciates such brutal honesty can quickly find a friend in Hime's presence. BOOKWORM. She likely considers books a better friend than anyone else, seldom a select few. When presented with a situation where she's required to be around others, Hime tends to bring along a book of some nature to sit and read while pretending to be alone. This has led to her making a few friends with others that seem to share similar responses to social situations. CHEERFUL. Throughout most situations, the miqo'te never seems to falter from this happy-go-lucky persona. Despite the whispers that it's a façade, there are few moments where you'll find her upset, which in turn makes her all the more hard to read when meeting her. Whether or not it is fake remains a mystery to most, leaving the ones left speculating to spew rumors instead about her. INTROVERTED. Extremely so, Hime will quite rarely initiate conversation. The rare instances of the woman initiating often only are presented when someone mentions one of her passions, such as smithing or weapons in themselves. Aside from a select few topics, she's incredibly reserved when it comes to speaking as well, as if worried she's saying too much. CURIOUS. When conversing with others, Hime has the tendency to linger on every little detail. While this might be seen as bothersome to some, others find themselves comforted by her capabilities to listen. She will bring up everything spoken to her, almost akin to a parrot, and question each aspect in order to learn about the person she's talking to. QUIRKS. ➤ Hime has extremely expressive ears, which often betray her when trying to hide her emotions. ➤ Head and ear rubs are a weak spot; she loves to be pet. ➤ Alcoholic. While not to a dangerous extent, the woman drinks as much as she can. She insists she does it for no other reason than enjoyment. ➤ Absolutely loves Doman cuisine. Any hints of home seem to make the woman nostalgic, and are an easy way to sway her. ➤ Has a preference for animals above people. She treats them with the utmost care and respect. Her shop pet is a prime example of how much love she can have for an animal. PERSONALITY TYPE: ENTP-A “The Debater” Strengths SWORD BEARER. While the woman can be seen with nearly any sword, there is one that is of particular note. Hime occasionally carries around a rather large sword that seems sinister in appearance, the blade crackling with energy if spotted unsheathed. It is unknown just how it came to be forged aside from Hime crafting the blade herself. KIN SLAYER. Training for years for the sole purpose to kill voidsent, Hime seems to have honed fighting even higher ranks on the hierarchy. Though her combat style is one that is flawed, the unrelenting rage she has for the existence of voidsent seems to help assist her faults. AGILE. With armor made to keep her agile on the field, Hime has no trouble maneuvering. She often relies on her speed to get herself out of poor positioning. UNYIELDING. Hime seems to possess a rather impressive stamina, finding herself refusing to back down from a fight, sometimes to a fault. There's a resilience to the woman that one simply wouldn't expect. Weaknesses HARD HITTER. Often overestimating her strength while in combat, the woman finds herself being forced to catch her breath rather often when fighting. This leaves her vulnerable to attacks rather easily, and it's something she's furiously working to fix. AGGRESSIVE. Hime almost seems to be a different person when it comes to combat; she has issues backing down from a fight and often has to be snapped out of it. When looking at her in combat, even friendly spars run a risk of being something more, the ferocity in her gaze almost disconcerting to look at. AETHER SENSITIVE. The sword in Hime's possession is particularly sensitive to pure aether. Being forged in order to fight corrupted with corrupted, when it meets something untouched, it reacts violently. It has been observed to backlash towards Hime at times due to this. Family Azami Naeuri (Mother) A woman that Hime has admired for years, despite never having directly met Azami. Her father fled Doma with her in tow at an age far too young for Hime to have any remembrance of her mother, yet the miqo'te still finds herself fantasizing about just what kind of person Azami was, almost romanticizing her. Kisaki A fox kit that Hime has taken in after finding her mother mauled in the shroud. She seems to be blissfully unaware of what having a "wild animal" in her shop entails, often doting on Kisaki. She has insisted many a time that she intends to release Kisaki back to the wild, but it's hard to tell if she'll be able to let go when - if - that time comes. After introducing the kit to Rufus, she has a sneaking suspicion that her original plan o setting her free was one that was shattered. Watching the way Rufus dotes on the kit is something Hime takes great pleasure in, finding enjoyment in their small "family." Raiden Jizutsu (Father) A man of few words and even less spinal bones. Hime grew up under the care of Raiden, a man that she believes let her down in every way imaginable by allowing her stepmother to intrude on their lives. The only redeeming quality her father offered in her eyes was the art of blacksmithing. Deceased: Raiden was found ripped apart by what was most likely a voidsent attack. This news has evaded Hime, though if it did ever reach her, she'd have immediate assumptions on who led the assault. Firenne Trucois (Stepmother) An undying hatred for Firenne festers inside of Hime. Her stepmother, whom Hime had believed to be someone who should have been capable of showing her the love a real mother could provide, had more important plans regarding the miqo'te. As soon as Firenne was able to, she subjected Hime to treatment not unlike torture, with the end goal being to sacrifice the child to the void. She never quite got as far as she planned. While this traumatic incident has seemed to left Hime's sanity mostly intact, she has developed an irrational blood lust for Firenne. Friends, Allies, & Everything In Between Edalene Arkwright Edalene is a fragment of the void touched aspect within Hime. Originally uncooperative and cold to the woman, she has begun to take on her own motives within the spun web. She has been a silent spectator of Hime's plights, especially regarding her existence. She has witnessed Hime plot her death and has done nothing to stop her. Even so, she has done her best to protect Hime from the calling of her sister, wanting the woman to live on. After forcing Hime to approach Ruran about Ume Muto, the miqo'te has realized that voidsent or otherwise, Edalene still has feelings - and to some extent, she truly does care for the woman, even if only due to the fact they share a vessel. The death of Edalene is a topic that upsets Hime greatly, as she finds herself close to this voidsent, despite all of her morals screaming otherwise. Ellere Valahan Ellere is a woman that Hime has a deep admiration for. After Metaphysick's recent affairs involving Rosamund's family, Hime found herself being tended to by the woman. Ellere witnessed the woman having an argument with herself - a result of using too much aether - but kept quiet about it for the time being, which Hime is quite thankful for. After coming to Ellere for herbal mixtures to assist her in sleeping, she chatted with the woman briefly about assisting her in removal of the corrupted flesh within her. Ellere was happy to agree to this, and the two promptly began to discuss Rufus's reckless behavior during Metaphysick's expedition. Hime found admiration in how calm and collected Ellere was despite the trauma that this behavior caused, and is impressed by how steeled Ellere can be. Kheja'a Akhabila Kheja'a and Hime first met on Metaphysick's vacation to Shirogane. The two briefly chatted in the library before Torhe and Kheja'a left. The woman had a fondness towards Kheja'a towards their mutual love in books, and later, the two met while on one of Metaphysick's jobs to dispatch voidsent. She once again found herself intrigued by him, this time due to his use of a sword, and his unique combat style. After getting Kheja'a to agree to a spar, Hime found herself nearly consumed by her own sword's corrupted aether after it reacted negatively to Kheja'a's aether shield. Begrudgingly, the woman has begun to entrust the miqo'te with how exactly her sword came to be made, with a glimmer of hope that he won't completely ruin the bit of trust she's put into him. With the help of Torhe, the trio are currently investigating the voidsent aspect within Hime and if there is a possibility of separating the two. However, neither of the two seem to be able to quite earn one another's trust, and this has resulted in a rocky relationship, only worsened by the incredibly blunt nature of the two colliding. Otte Dreamwalker Hime has found an easy friend with this fellow seeker. The two were originally put together in Ruran's group to learn techniques for fighting voidsent. It seemed that they had similar impressions for Metaphysick, as both Hime and Otte joined the company's ranks shortly after. Hime gets along with Otte well enough, the two easily bonding over their mutual love for books. Renaud Dailemont Renaud is a man that perplexes Hime, and one that she can't quite bring herself to trust. After watching him play devil's advocate regarding dark knights, she found herself weary of him, if not hostile towards him after his thinly veiled implications that Rufus would end up dying from his recklessness. However, stars later aligned for the two and Hime found herself asking him to accompany her to the Shroud as an escort while she underwent testing theories suggested to her via Torhe. Hime likely owes Renaud her life after their endeavors in the Shroud. She's found some sort of odd comfort from his presence. She's also found herself opening up about her past, something that has brought her much concern. After he openly used dark arts and admitted to being a dark knight, she's become further interested in speaking to him, and unable to help but compare him to Rufus for her own humor as the two dark knights are night and day in comparison. Rosamund Hale One of the women that employed Hime with Metaphysick. She has nothing but respect for both miss Rosamund and Torhe, finding the two admirable in what they achieve. She finds the two to be a comforting presence. Rosamund's aloof nature is almost endearing to her, and Hime often finds comedic relief in the hyur. After Rosamund's recent family affairs coming to the attention of Metaphysick, Hime has made an attempt to befriend the woman, trying to bond over their similar plights. Rufus Wightman A man that Hime can't seem to get enough of. The initial click between the two has left Hime trusting him with far more than she would have expected, even surprising herself with how easily she opened up to him. She's found herself completely smitten with the man - something that she has found is mutual between the pair. While she has become wary about the romantic feelings that she harbors for him, she has no intentions of distancing herself, enjoying his company just enough to remain selfish. She loves him dearly, and his presence within her life has granted a reason to care more about her own well being, especially when on the battlefield. Ruran Vas A bit of an odd man, Hime first met this knight in the shroud. The two took on an open gate to the void together and closed it without much hassle, the Miqo'te rather impressed by both Ruran's knowledge and fighting skill, admittedly having low expectations from the polite and nervous persona he has. She finds it odd to have met someone that is more skittish than her, and in a way, feels sorry for him. After forging him a new blade, she got the opportunity to talk to him about her current affairs and learn more about who he is. This, paired with fighting by his side on the battlefield, has led her to believe that he is a valuable ally, and one that she can rely on. After approaching Ruran about Ume and her claims to assist Hime, she found herself talking to Ruran about their pasts and similar plights. After the two shared a heart to heart - and after Hime spoke some brutally honest truth to him - she has found herself trusting the man. While she does not know much of his past, she knows who he is now, and that is all that matters to her. Torhe Raanu Rosamund's partner in crime and Hime's other "boss", Torhe almost appears to be opposite of her lover in every way. Hime finds the couple endearing, believing that they complement each other's strengths and weaknesses. She particularly finds Torhe easy to talk to, given their mutual interest in books. After a recent spar with Kheja'a, Hime has been forced to reveal parts of her past to the keeper that she intended to keep hidden for just a bit longer. Upon this discussion, Hime has been relieved to see Torhe's serious attitude towards the issue and her willingness to help Hime overcome this obstacle. Impressed by the cool manner from Torhe, Hime has begun to bestow trust within the keeper. Ume Muto Beckoned to the shroud by Ume, the miqo'te felt nothing but apprehension towards their initial meeting. However, as Ume spoke to Hime about their similar plights, she couldn't help but feel a trust towards the woman. Ume spoke knowledge that Hime had never considered; the way she approached the subject of Hime's corruption, and the way that she addressed Edalene, left a lasting impression on Hime. She sees Ume as an odd motherly figure. After being forced to discuss Ume with Ruran, she cannot help but find herself confused on who Ume is, and if she can truly trust the au ra; however, her positive opinion on Ume has not yet strayed. W'gahr Lupercal Luper was the first Metaphysick employee that Hime forged a weapon for. She finds him endearing, and the two share many similar perspectives on things, especially when it comes to weapons. She also has mild interest in his job as an engineer after watching one of his recent tests in the Metaphysick workshop. However, she can't help but find herself slightly paranoid of the seeker after being a bit too honest with him, and can only pray that he stays quiet about what she told him. Zaoka Aloka Zaoka is one of Metaphysick's employed medics, and someone absolutely full of personality. Hime enjoys idle chat with him, and has her respects towards his work - especially since she's found herself being patched up under his care. She can respect Zaoka for what he does, and is glad to have someone with his skill set available for any sort of medical help that she might need. She has told him about her current voidsent issue, and has found relief in the fact that he's willing to assist her in any way that he can. Alainne Arkwright Evidently the spokeswoman for fragments of Hime's past, she can't quite tell what to think of Alainne. The voidsent seemed to have genuine interest in negotiations, though Hime was unable to get far in discussions before she was dragged off. With the death of Firenne being something the voidsent dangled over Hime's head, she's found it hard to avoid going back to the Shroud to discuss manners with her. Braya Arkwright As far as Hime knows, Braya is being used to power Firenne and has been reduced to a shell of the woman that she used to be. I love when people come to me with a request for Hime to craft them a weapon. I'm open to realistically any request when it comes to blacksmithing. From the way I have Hime written, this is her specialty; it's what she strives to become perfect in. Don't be afraid to contact me about this; it's by far my favorite to roleplay with her, and it makes me as a player happy to have people using her weapons in character. Anything involving the void when it comes to Hime is loved. She has a deep fascination with it, and while she has intent to murder voidsent, she still wants to learn about the origins of the void and how it came to be. Learning about the void helps her better learn about herself, and how the voidsent that's inside of her functions. If you want to plot with me about adventures involving the void, by all means, go ahead. I'd love to! Previously mentioned that Hime has an odd aether. Anything involving the void is absolutely considered OOC information, except for her side job of being a voidsent hunter. If you want to plot about the void aspect of Hime with me, feel free to ask – I'm open to anything – but I absolutely am not okay with this knowledge being metagamed. This is not something my character herself is open about in any way, and the possibility of someone randomly getting the hunch that she is voidtouched is abysmally low. RP THEMES. Hime as a character is best suited for heavy combat roleplay. I'll be blunt: she is not a nice person. If she leaves bad first impression, that's absolutely fine! I have no hard feelings on Hime being disliked by someone – she isn't designed to be a bubbly, friendly gal. While she is typically polite, she is very cold on initial impression, and hard to enjoy being around. There is seldom kinds of RP that I won't do. I am more or less open to anything as long as you ask – the obvious exception to this being death. I'm okay with permanent injury as long as it feasibly happens; when you charge blindly into battle, you should expect to get hurt, after all. ACCESSIBILITY.
