Kailia Molkot (pronounced /KYE-LEE-UH/) (20th Sun First Astral Moon (Jan 20)) is a miqo'te keeper of the moon who was orphaned as a kit and raised by a moogle who took pity on her and taken back to her sanctuary within the South Shroud. There, the moogle raised the girl as a beloved pet, fed her, and taught her conjury until the day of the calamity, when one of Bahamut's missiles landed on the happless moogle killing it. To Kailia though the moogle simply disappeared never to be seen again. In the year 1579, her sanctuary's food supply became dangerously low, and the Elementals bade her to return to her people, as she was now of an age to care for herself.

Appearance & Personality
- She is a petite young girl, that favors wearing light weight clothing such as the fur tunic, fur and leather boots, and wears a circlet resembling a tree with leaves. Her tail is very long, and fluffy, and she has a somewhat high pitched voice. One notable thing about her is, in place of howdy she uses meowdy. With her, she also carries many knapsacks, where she a stuffs all the stuff she gathers, from food, water, plants, and other things. She carries with her, a staff made of various flowers and berries. Around her neck, is a necklace with a shaped aetherite built into it in the shape of a bell. She uses this for her teleportation.
Biography
1564-1575
Childhood
- Kailia was born in the Morbolvine Clan, to the coupling of Lailia Molkot and Hawu'li Mewrilah. Four months after her and her twin sister's birth, did Laila and Hawu'li leave the clan. They had intended to sacrifice both girls, for a perverse ritual meant to give someone youth and power. But Hawu'li was deceiving Laila, as the ritual was meant for Amandine of Haukke Manor. Upon learning this, Laila gathered both kits and fled with them. She went to Amdapor Keep where she hid Kailia in some bushes, but Hawu'li was not far behind, pursuing her. She fled with the other kit still in her arms, and was last seen being mortally wounded by him. Wood Wailers seeing the scene, killed Hawu'li, and Laila disappeared with the other kit. None know what became of her. A moogle named Kaipo whom was watching the scene unfold, went to the keep and found Kailia, and decided to take the kit under her pompom and took Kailia to her private sanctuary. There, she raised little Kailia up as a beloved pet, teaching her to talk, gave her the name Kailia Mewrilah remembered her father's last name was Mewrilah, and taught her Conjury and of the forest spirits aka, The Elementals.
- When the Garleans began their campaign in Eorzea, Kaipo moved them deeper into her sanctuary. Unfortunately when Bahamut emerged from the red moon, and began his attack on Eorzea, Kaipo was struck down by one of Bahamut's missiles. To Kailia though, her moogle friend simply vanished during the night of fire, never to be seen again. From then on Kailia was alone.
Teenage
- With Kaipo gone, Kailia lived off what the sanctuary could provide. Sometimes she'd peak out and see people wander by the hidden sanctuary entrance. But she avoided contact with outsiders. She continued practicing conjury that she learned from Kaipo. However she was not happy, as she had no one to talk with. She still did not understand that Kaipo was killed, and thus lived day to day.
1576 - 1580
- With her food supplies running low, the Elementals bade Kailia to leave Kaipo's sanctuary and rejoin her people. She made her way out of the sanctuary but did not much care for how the woodwailers in quarrymill looked at her, and continued on, eventually finding her way to the Lavender Beds. There she made friends at the Shroudwolf Den, and even met a lalafell who told her about how to get her own chocobo. She soon met a couple male keepers of the moon, and accompanied them on a trip to Tailfeather.
- When they got to Ishgard though, the relationship between the males began to break down, as they began fighting amongst themselves because they were lost. Kailia though simply asked a random person how to get to the Coerthas Western Highlands, and led the two males to the gate, where they continued on, still bickering amongst each other. They also got lost on the fields of these highlands, but finally did make it to Dravania's Chocobo Forest, where Kailia bid her farewells to the males, rested from her journey then set out to catch her own chocobo using Repose as her spell of choice to use on a bird she liked. That day, she captured a bright apple green chocobo, and after a bit of training, which surprisingly, the bird did not require much of, she flew back to Ishgard, then ran back to the Lavender Beds.
- When she returned to the Lavender Beds, it soon after began to rain and desperate for shelter from the rain, she found a huge manor, with a chocobo stable, and opted to sleep with the chocobos. A Matron of the house found her the next morning, cleaned her up, and got her fed, and after much talking, adopted her into the Morbolvine Clan. She was then given permission to pick a room to call her own, and found a vacant one next to the matron that took her in. The Matron also found her a teacher, W'renn Solari, to help her learn to speak better as well as read and write.
- It wasn't long before she met the head Matriarch, who had a way of intimidating males. Kailia made the decision she wanted to be like the matriarchs, and Miah took her to Ul'dah where they played a prank on a hapless mercenary before returning home. Miah met with W'renn the next day, and gave the teacher one moon to teach Kailia how to read an entire book, for she has a book she wants Kailia to read. As Kailia continues her studies, she's quickly picking up her role in the tribe, learning how to be a keeper of the moon, and training herself further in conjury. She'd also found a Griffin Egg, which hatched and after several days, she'd finally been suggested a name for her little hatchling: Feathers.
- Once she was settled in, and started practicing conjury and alchemy, the matriarch Miah, became deathly ill. A plan was hatched by Miah, Kailia and Renn to perform a ritual to cleanse her of voidial energies. But there was a catch. A living sacrifice was required. Setoh saw to the capture of a sacrifice, and Kailia prepared the spell that would have Renn assisting in keeping Kailia from running out of Aether. On the day of the ritual, the sacrifice was brought forth, and the spell channeling began while Miah attempted to claim the life aether of the sacrifice. Unfortunately the sacrifice captured, was a Voidsent herself, and Miah suffered further damage.
- Thus a new plan was hatched when Renn was attacked by half breed hunters. The one who had sent them, was a lalafell uncle of hers. Kailia and a small group set about capturing the uncle to serve as a new sacrifice. Since he was of pure aether, he was most ideal. Kailia prepared a new version of her spell, and Renn this time helped substitute the aether of titan-egi. A bargain was reached with the primal, and the uncle was captured. However before the capture, Setoh had a problem that needed taken care of, and Khona'to took his place. Kailia played the role of Khona'to's maid and slipped a powerful sedative into the wine. The uncle declared it swill and demanded Kailia be punished on the spot. Khona'to ended up hitting Kailia a bit too hard and left a mark on her cheek.
- But before the ritual, Khona'to offered to repay the debt of hitting her. He allowed her to strike him back in return. This earned him permanent respect from her and she took the repayment. The ritual was a success, however days later, it was discovered that Titan was to use the aether paid for his sacrifice, to return and would attempt to temper those who's aether he tasted. Planning was made, and Kailia fell for the keeper male Hawk, because he was, in fact, very similar to her. She decided she was ready to mate, and thus has become pregnant.
- All would not be happy though. During a heated moment in Mholi's room, Matron Miah banished Renn and many of the family went after Renn. Kailia found herself alone, and suffered a mental breakdown. She was found by the Padjal Ell'e, and after much coaching, went with her to the Shroudwolf Clan's den to meet Renn. There she slipped into her own mind and was shutting herself out to the world. But thanks to the efforts of Renn and Nissa, Kailia was brought back from the brink of madness and was convinced that Miah had gone crazy. However Miah ended up calling on Kailia and the two talked for an extended period and Kailia realized, Miah had a method to the madness. Lessons were being given, and Miah told the girl she wanted her to learn directly from her. Kailia informed Miah of the plan for Mholi to challenge her and was given leave to ask Mholi not to untake said challenge for matriarchy.
- The crisis was averted, and Rhe was assigned to be the head huntress of the clan to train all the new adopted girls to hunt. Kailia made certain that she would prove she wanted to learn, by going to Rhe before the gathering to not only have her bow examined, but to get a quick lesson as well. Rhe decided that Kailia would be the fang of the pack, and put her in charge of cripling the marked prey. The first hunt was successful, but Kailia decided, that while it was her arrow that killed the prey, she would have Tahyu take the majority of the credit, but she has not told Tahyu of the plan. She would have Tahyu present the head with her and give the girl praise for her first hunt.
- A little time passed, and new faces appeared. Kailia was given a new apprentice, Zola Bhakhiri, who is quickly on the path to becoming the new clan healer. Kailia was given the title of Priestess by Matriarch Miah, and three new males had appeared, Novik, Nhagi'ra and Khadru'to. However as time passed, it became increasingly clear that Mholi never forgave Kailia for siding with Miah, and Khadru'to began being her advisor. A relationship put to strain, when she discovered his secret. However, he was there, holding her hand, when she gave birth to Haili Mewrilah.
- A few suns later, Thya Molkot and her bodyguard Sinjhi'ra Qidhaj appeared. They quickly earned much trust with Kailia. But soon after Mholi, Setoh and Venus, all left the clan. Khadru'to theorized that Mholi sought to seize power once more, but that Thya had destroyed any chance of that. Kailia is skeptical but she knew Mholi never forgave her for siding with Miah so many moons ago. Soon after, Khadru'to also left the clan behind, when his secret was exposed. It resulted in an aspiring sister being wounded by Khadru'to. Zola and Nhagi'ra were sent to bring Khadru'to back to the clan, but instead, it resulted in both Nhagi'ra and Khadru'to betraying the clan. Nhagi'ra attacking Zola for his brother Khadru'to, then working out an elaborate lie for the matriarch. And Khadru'to ended up selling Zola into slavery. When Kailia learned this information and that Nhagi'ra threatened to steal Yabi from her mother, it earned both males a permanent disdain by Kailia.
- Now, the clan faces yet another problem. A mage using voidial powers, has attacked the clan. They still need to rescue Zola from the slavery she was sold into, and bring Nhagi'ra to justice. Kailia has been growing as a priestess, having learned from Sanja Polaali how to talk to the elementals, she has replaced Mholi as Miah's eyes and ears. There are no more secrets in the clan. Kailia is focused on the future of the clan, and her daughter Haili. And with that in mind, she negotiated a peace with Noa's people. She researched on missing family, trying to find one to replace Thya as Matriarch, as that woman has opted to step down from the role.
- In the search for the missing family, she found the trail of her parents and has now learned who her parents are, and who she truly is. She has dropped her father's surname, in favor of her mothers. She is now Kailia Molkot. And soon after she undertook her Coming of Age trials, and passed. She then asked for the clan support in claiming the title of Matriarch, in the wake of Miah Polaali's disappearance. With the clan's support, she is now matriarch of the Morbolvine Clan!
- A couple moons later, Katu Molkot appeared. She was Kailia's Grandmother, the mother of her mother. And thus she began advising Kailia on being a proper matriarch. Things in the clan were starting to look up. Until Katu learned of a plot to depose her Granddaughter. Thya Molkot, Zola Bhakhiri, Nhagi'ra and Khadru'to were all in league with each other, and would see the clan ended once and for all. The traitors had the majority of the clan in their pocket, and all that would be needed, would be to depose of the matriarch to put their own puppet into power. Thus a secret plan was hatched, that saw Katu leave in the dawn when the clan was asleep, and head to Coerthas with Haili. Kailia would follow soon after, leaving a false letter claiming someone stole her kit, and headed to Coerthas, with plans to fake her own demise. Alas she encountered at the border between the shroud and coerthas, a wounded band of heretics, and her healers compassion kicked in and she started mending their wounds, when the Ishgardians appeared in ambush, and captured her and the heretics, and hauled them back to Ishgard.
1581 - Current time (1585)
- Kailia and the young woman heretic she saved, along with the few others, were tried in Ishgard for Heresy. While Kailia was viewed as not with the heretics initially, the fact that she was healing heretics wounds, made her guilty by association. Thus was she jailed with the Heretics, and Kailia placed in a cell with the young elezen woman she healed. Kailia knew as long as she was in this jail, she was not safe. For her assissins were crafty, but so was she. Thus did she enact a plan B and spoke to the woman she saved. The woman was slated to be executed for Heresy in six moons, and with that knowledge, Kailia offered her a potential way out. The woman agreed to her plan of a body swap glamour and Kailia cast a very powerful glamour on the both of them. Kailia's appearance and aether would look much like the heretic's, while the heretic, would become Kailia Molkot. A couple nights later, the assassins snuck into their cell and killed the poor girl. Ishgard, embarassed that she was killed under their watch, sent the body back to Morbolvine Clan for burial. Three moons later, the glamour wore off much to the guards shock, and Kailia explained the situation. However changes were coming to Ishgard, and she was taken before the Lord Commander who listened to her tale, and released her and the other heretics.
Kailia opted to travel with the Heretics, through Western Coerthas, to Dravania, to the forest where she had found her first chocobo. There, she parted ways from the heretics, and found some old ruins to make into her home, all the while missing her kit and Grandmother, never knowing what became of her birth clan.
