A 27 year old battle-scarred, axe wielding loose cannon.

Appearance

Usually seen in her Maelstrom lieutenant's uniform, but sometimes may be seen with garments that are more fitting of a hunter when she's not in La Noscea.

Mannerisms

Kaine is a happy-go-lucky loose cannon and a meathead who boasts about her strength quite often. She's a rather laid back leader and she only cares about getting the job done in the most efficient way. Outside of her work, people describe her as a 'gentle giant'.

Philosophy & Ideals

Kaine's allignment could best be described as Chaotic Good. She has no tolerance for textbook examples of heroicism, considering said examples to be very trite. Her ideals are close to 'might makes right' and she firmly believes that the weak are destined to lose.

Quirks

• →Loose Cannon: Kaine, when enraged is completely unreasonable and perhaps unstoppable. Until she makes her target yield or her target is dead, she will stop at nothing.
• →Masochism Tango: Kaine secretly enjoys being attacked and beaten. That's why she acts as a meat shield most of the time.
• →Extreme Prejudice: Kaine holds extreme contempt towards those of Garlean descent, and will take the time out of her day to make their life terrible.

→Fighting: Kaine will never deny an opportunity to fight someone. She absolutely enjoys sparring and fighting in general. →Exploration: Kaine loves strolling through places that have barely been touched. Even though the unknown lurks around the corner, she will never pass up the opportunity to wander into some crumbling ruin in order to find out what it holds. →Company: Kaine dislikes being alone. She constantly seeks new people to be friends with, or to adventure with.		→Garleans: After Meteor and several run-ins with the Garlean military, she has grown to hate any and all pureblood Garleans, referring to them as 'imperial pigdogs'. She absolutely hates Garleans and will stop at nothing to make life worse for them. →The Allagan Empire: Even though she's fascinated by their technological advancements, she ultimately hates the Garlean empire for the sole reason of them inadvertently taking her parents away from her. She will destroy any and all Allagan artifacts she discovers. →Ul'Dah: While she visits Thanalan and Ul'dah frequently for business or to loiter around in the Quicksand, it's not uncommon for her to compare Ul'dah to a cesspit. She absolutely detests the nation and the arid lands surrounding it.

She doesn't think before she speaks, and she does not care about upsetting people. →As stated before, Kaine is a loose cannon. Her strength in battle stems from this flaw alone. →Kaine is rather emotionally challenged. You won't see her crying, but at the same time, she doesn't know how to comfort people.

Early Life

Adulthood

Kaine was born to a pair of Midlander peasants who tended to a small farm in Middle La Noscea. Her life as a farmer ended due to the Calamity when Bahamut's fury ravaged her farm and destroyed nearly every aspect of her life. Upon realizing that she had literally nothing left, she decided to enlist with the Maelstrom as a last resort, eventually reaching the rank of First Lieutenant after countless battles and exercises. She then married the daughter of a wealthy La Noscean merchant who, conveniently was her superior. She now runs a hunter's guild located in the Mists.

Recent Times

Kaine nowadays spends her time wandering around La Noscea and Ul'dah. You might find her there striking conversations at the Drowning Wench or the Quicksands. However, rumours of her brutalizing a pureblood Garlean several times have surfaced.
