His tribe was assaulted by a force of Garleans in their quest for dominion over the other races of Eorzea, starting with his mother who was matron of the tribe--one of the best warrioress' of the clan. They sought after the strongest, and the weakest of the miqo'te, to test their horrifying experiments. Kiht'a's father was killed in the assault trying to keep the Garleans from taking his mother, even though she voluntarily went--there was a lie made that her believe her son and her tribe would be spared. The Garleans subjugated the clan miqo'te, using their advanced magitek technology, turning them into living weapons for the Empire with implants and cybernetic parts. His mother was turned into a monstrosity. Kiht'a barely knew anything of his parents due them being taken away from him at such a young age. He has memories that come to him in dreams, but that is all he knows--and it is very little. He was on his own once his parents were gone--how he lived was by scavenging and fending for himself as a toddler. The tribe resented him because of their families and friends being taken from them by the Garleans, yet a useless, scrawny male runt was permitted to live freely--until the Garleans began thrusting 'Coeurlclaw' into the tribe to continue to test the clan miqo'te--the best way they'd survive is if they would merge with the Coeurlclaw. Kiht'a was severely mistreated and abused--sent on suicide missions (unbeknownst to Kiht'a, it was undercover Garlean) that he barely escaped with his life. Eventually, he would be tasked with leading the Wood Wailers to traps set by the 'Coeurlclaw', and that is when he decided he could stay no longer. He would jump on the next airship out of Gridania, and go to lead a new life out side of the Shroud--alone, and afraid, without any knowledge of the people or customs of the whole of Eorzea. APPEARANCE His base, nude appearance would appear to be that of a runt--about a half-foot or foot shorter than most Miqo'te males, making him fairly small and scrawny. Kiht'a's build would be somewhat gently toned, not too much muscle--a build meant for running and agility. From front to back, he would have various slash scars from daggers or some kind of blade with various lengths. His back would show the full extent of his abuse within the tribe; deep scars, his skin would be slightly smooth and bumpy in some areas with deep bruising. It seemed as if the weapon of choice could have been a heavy branch and fists. His face however, despite his runt stature, was very exotic. The tribe's markings adorned his face, his eyes as pale and bright white as the moon. Generally, besides those of the typical non-tribal miqo'te, he would be fairly attractive. His skin would be an ebony grey, and his hair short and slightly messy, but he tries his best with good hygiene. He would smell of natural plants or outside-natural scents of trees. His tail would be long and tapers out at the end for a more 'fluffy' appearance. PERSONALITY Courageous. Loyal. Kind. Kiht'a's beginning personality has grown from very timid, shy, and a bit awkward, to more open to meeting people he deems safe and not too intimidating. However, he has had a lot on his mind over the past months since he had left the Shroud, there is barely any time to be timid or shy. He still has his moments--they seem to be random and very dependent on the person who approaches him or who is around him. He feels more secure around people he knows when meeting a new person. He is very affectionate (almost too much; loves giving hugs when he feels a bit more comfortable with someone) and kind, especially to his friends. They are the most important thing in the world to him, and he cherishes them above everything else. To lose one would almost send him into a spiral of depression for quite a few weeks--he hasn't dealt with loss very much in his life yet. He also has some feline-like quirks where he would nuzzle someone and wrap his tail around them with a purr. He also gets scared easy if you sneak up on him. He generally enjoys being as close as he can to people in any way possible when he deems them safe enough. That is a very dangerous flaw of his. Recently, however, he's been a bit less trusting of people. LIKES Oranges. He has a near addiction for anything citrus, borderline insanity with this. Meat Buns/Dumplings. These make him really happy. His favorite dinner food. Or lunch. Or breakfast. Sweets. Who doesn't love candy and cakes?! Nature & Nudity. Kiht'a grew up surrounded in the dense, deep forests of the Black Shroud. If there was an Eorzean Nature Boy, Kiht'a is it. He feels most at home bare to the world and amongst the trees and wildlife. Being close to someone he is comfortable with.Hugging, nuzzling, etc. He will do it to someone he considers a friend. Pretty things. Things like expensive dresses that nobles wear, interesting jewelry, nice decorations in homes, etc. Males. Generally he feels a bit more comfortable around most males. His clan was one comprised of females who weren't very kind to their males, especially a born-weak runt like Kiht'a. DISLIKES Being Cornered/Forced to do Something. Who does?. Mean People. Again, who doesn't? Alcoholic Drinks. He rathers water, juice or anything that is fresh from nature. At times, he will imbibe in a rum-mix of oranges, peaches, and sugar. When people lie to him or avoid him for his safety. Kiht'a really dislikes when people lie to him, because it feels as if they are violating his trust with them. He especially hates when people avoid him for his safety. It makes him feel like a defenseless kit. Xaela (Fear). He is convinced after talks with various people, and hearing rumors from various 'friendly' Xaela, Xaela are to be feared due to the possibility of them picking him up and running away with him to eat him. He confuses the term cannibal.(However, ones that are friends of friends are Xaela that he trusts. He may feel comfortable around a Xaela after knowing for certain they won't eat him. STRENGTHS Agile. He can be agile due to his small body and lithe/scrawny runner's build. Quick Reflexes. Being a Miqo'te, he possesses cat-like reflexes. Though they don't -always- work in his favor. Daggers/Shortblades. He is fairly adept with the use of daggers or shortblades. His clan used a custom-style variation of the doman's ninjutsu, which typically uses daggers or shortblades. Hunting/Scavenging/Survival in Nature Environments. He has lived for years in the deep recesses of the Black Shroud. The items he carries, the clothes he wears, and the weapons he bears would have been hand-made by materials in the Shroud, or from stealing from his clan's trade-goods. Herbs and Mixes. He tends to be knowledgeable of plant-life of the Black Shroud, and often mixes healing salves to poisons. Loyalty. He is often very loyal to his friends. He even goes as far to say that he would die for someone if they were his friend and it meant saving them. WEAKNESSES Too Caring/Kind. He is most of the time gullible, and will do anything to help anyone. Sometimes he can be used for bad things he doesn't even know about. Fragile/Scrawny/Small Body. He has a small, scrawny body that can often be lifted or broken by someone stronger than him. Scares fairly easy. He can get scared rather easy, if surprised. However he won't turn down a challenge if he is challenged, usually. Too Trusting. He is too trusting of people, usually. It can often get very dangerous. Various-Sized Pouches and Side-Packs: He always has some kind of bandolier, belt, or side-pack which he stores poisons, various flasks, herbs, potions among other miscellany things. Please ask if you want to make this a center of an approach. Jeweled Ribbon: He wears a pink/purple ribbon that is pinned with an encrusted gem. This was a gift from his mate, Caen. Fang Earrings: He wears a pair of coeurl fang earrings.. Two Concealed Shortblades: He always has a pair of concealed shortblades on his waist which are easily accessible, but out of sight. Handmade Dolls: Being alone and left to his devices, he has learned to make well-made dolls of a humanoid shape. Coeurl Horn: When he was out hunting and being 'one' with nature, he found that creating a horn that would tame Coeurl for short periods was an efficient way for travel and safety, as long as he treated them to food and respect. ABOUT THE PLAYER My Online Times: They can range from very spotty, to very active, or at late nights EST. I have college art classes that I take online, which often takes most of my time during the midweek to Sunday. GUIDELINES Overall, I'm pretty chill as far as guidelines go. I don't have an extensive list of 'Do's or 'Don't's or things that I personally find triggering. So chances are, you won't offend me or make me uncomfortable unless you're trying to or just being really skeevy in general. Still, for the sake of making sure everyone's on the same page here, let me make a few mentions in particular: I WILL NOT... There is little I wont do. However, please respect my wishes if I should feel, for any reason, uncomfortable in any RP. . Under-Aged Characters in Sexual Situations. This is one of the main big things I WILL NOT, under any circumstances, do. If you have a character that is under-aged, I will RP with them, but they will not get into any sexual situations. RP with almost anyone, as long as they are not mean or disrespectful OOC. I will also RP with males or females, despite my character being homosexual, I do not solely RP with only one gender. However please be aware, the character would only feel 'comfortable' in sexual situations with males. This being said, if your character would flirt with him, PLEASE DO SO, regardless of the character's preference. He also has a mate, but I do not expect any other characters to know that he does unless they've seen Kiht'a and his mate together.
