:Konalie, however, wasn't blind to the words of the public - she soon heard whispers of treason and betrayal, and quickly came to a decision; although it was hard for her, with advice from her father who would soon do the same, they quickly departed the clergy for the lives of hunter-scholars travelling around Coerthas, as the beginning of what would soon become the downfall of the Archbishop began to unfold. The adjustment was easier this time, as she soon found a long lost friend, she banded with her as a team after pleading her case (repeatedly) to join her at her side. But all would soon be for naught as her father soon fell ill, causing her to halt any and all operations she had underway to rush to his side. Falling ill with a sickness that could only be treated by expensive herbs from the far reaches of the continent, Konalie made it her job to help him as best as she could (even with him protesting consistently).

Konalie is an ex-Halonic Friar, hailing from Ishgard. A minor noble of house Haillenarte, she is the bastard product of her Wildwood mother’s affair with a Duskwight priest of Halone. Escaping the life of a knight, she became a fully trained friar of the Holy See; and as events that would bring its downfall began to unfold, she fled her life once again to that of a huntress and scholar. Helping out those who would need it, and happily teaching others about the way of the fist should they wish, she hopes to make a difference and earn a living to support her ill father, taking on his surname as both a guise and a fresh start.

Within a meter or so of her, however, you would be able to see the grey in her skin tone, with her being so pale as it stands.
Konalie also dyes her hair different shades very often, though keeps the base of it black. Some of her favorite colors to switch between is the colors of her house, and also varying shades of blue and gold. About 90% of the time would you find her with bags under her eyes, as she either looks permanently worried or exhausted. Biography

The youngest of 5 children, from a young age Konalie knew that she would have virtually nothing to inherit or gain from her social standing; being born a bastard, she was already ill afforded the comforts that would normally come of her title. Originally, her brothers did not resent her, but accepted her into the family - only after being taken in as a ward in their household. Even so, her stepfather took great pains to hide the truth of her existence from the world; with his overwhelming worry that her mixed race being discovered as she grew older, Konalie had no choice but to comply. Only after he was killed in the Dragonsong war when she was barely older than a year, Konalie was recognized formally into the family as an adopted child, to avoid any further questioning.
Konalie found herself left alone in the halls of the family estate more often than not, holing up in the library or simply just staring out the window for hours waiting until her siblings returned from their duties. It was no surprise that she begrudgingly came to accept that being alienated by her brothers was how things simply were, and having no place to escape it, Konalie's self-loathing grew and grew. Her saving grace was her birth father, forbidden from making contact directly, after hearing of her plight he began sending letters about his duties in the royal vaults and all over Ishgard, telling vibrant stories of how others lived within Coerthas and even trips to the borders of Gridania.
Most of all, he would talk about his prayers, and the teachings he would preach about Halone wherever he went; and as a missionary teaching about the Twelve - through this newfound curiosity of the faith, she was introduced to one of her dearest friends at her very first church service. Although they were different in many ways, being one of the only friends she'd ever had, Konalie absolutely cherished the time she got to spend with her. Time went on, and eventually, Konalie heard the ill-hidden whispers of her family trying to figure out what to do with her; fully knowing what becoming a knight entailed after hearing rumors of other friends being forced into it against their wills, Konalie put her faith in the one thing she knew that would be constant, that being the faith of the Holy See.
The decision to become a Halonic Friar didn't come easily at first, as Konalie hadn't harmed a fly ever in her life - but after pleading her case through one final letter to her father, emissaries soon came to her doorstep to whisk her away to be educated further in her nation's religion. There, she found, it was easier to hide the truth of her birth, behind the preaching of Halone that she grew to love. Soon Konalie found herself neck-deep in physical training, her overseers soon discovering that she had little talent with a sword. They instead decided to try out something different than the usual, testing out her physical abilities by going through different practice courses while getting used to fighting with handheld weaponry. She lost contact with the harsh world that she grew up in, and the teachings of Halone quickly filled the void of her loneliness.
Konalie, however, wasn't blind to the words of the public - she soon heard whispers of treason and betrayal, and quickly came to a decision; although it was hard for her, with advice from her father who would soon do the same, they quickly departed the clergy for the lives of hunter-scholars travelling around Coerthas, as the beginning of what would soon become the downfall of the Archbishop began to unfold. The adjustment was easier this time, as she soon found a long lost friend, she banded with her as a team after pleading her case (repeatedly) to join her at her side. Falling ill with a sickness that could only be treated by expensive herbs from the far reaches of the continent, Konalie made it her job to help him as best as she could (even with him protesting consistently).
With tales of her devotion spreading throughout the parts of Dravania and Coerthas in which she hunted, she soon found herself swamped with contracts and unable to do them all. Taking what she had earned, Konalie finished what she could and relocated her base of operations to a remote outpost near the border, her father opting to live in her small cottage. After her father's death, however, her views loosened somewhat, and she now tries to help all who are willing.
One day she hopes to be able to return home, to her mother and half-brothers to tell them about all of her achievements; but until then, Konalie is satisfied with making small differences in those that she helps and gets to know, and tries to live a life free of the past that once bound her.

PC Rumors (written by other players)

"A wonderful fighter, that one is. Miss Konalie and I had sparred once in the past and I have never met someone as skilled as I in hand-to-hand combat as her. I look forward to the chance to square off once more. ... No, I do not know of her heritage and even if I did I most definitely would not be privy to speak it without her permission." - Isarmont Sorel
