General Information
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Madeleine seeks large personal rewards that balance out every risk, and the bigger the risk the better. Yet there is also a balance of the self being played daily, one to cater to honor and duty, and the other to mischief and mayhem; they can never mix. Separate lives for separate parts of the day, kept apart over danger of the repercussion or worse. In this is a divide, two personalities, two weakness, two strengths, and two fears. It can feel at times that she is two different people, living in two different worlds, and this is true. Yet sometimes, somehow, they muddle together, and cause much anxiety and stress. The day that one of the two cease to exist is the day half her soul dies.

The locks on her head a chestnut brown, mostly dull and ordinary in the scheme of colors. But her eyes, those chromatic chartreuse orbs, encase a brightness that seem to almost glow from within. These are the eyes of a hunter, a seeker, a perceptive person that can see afar and up close with clarity. Hair is usually pulled away from these eyes, and kept mostly short.

Madeleine's Thoughts: "She calls the shots, giving me much needed direction. I fear her wraith if I fail anything she asks of me."
The Mistress of The Court allowed Madeleine a chance to prove herself. The struggle to keep self interests underneath the duty of the court is an everyday battle. Madeleine seeks approval, and reverts to a militaristic stance when around the woman, not knowing any other way to show respect. Dovienya intimidates, guides, and sometimes provokes mischief in Madeleine. She can ever seem to let her guard down around her superior.
Marcus Feral, Captain. ( $ ) - Master of Coin.
Madeleine's Thoughts: "The devil may care, but apparently not with this Miqo'te. He's as elusive and mysterious as the Court is, could be considered the mascot."
Once have they spoken, but many times they share the same space. The Captain, or Cap, as Madeleine feels the need to call him, seems to be the at the head of the organization. Always planning, thinking, scheming with a single goal in mind: Coin. Madeleine is drawn toward that way of thinking, hoping the coin master will teach her a thing or two about making, and keeping gil.
Anagna Kenesa, Shadowman. ( $ ) - The Shadow of the Court.
Madeleine's Thoughts: "From day one he's been nothing but difficult. I owe him more favors than I can count, but I'm not sure if I should pay those debts, or say to hell with it all. He likes to ruin my fun, and amuses himself with my mistakes."
Conflictive challenges seem to divide these two at arms length and them some. He's bailed Madeleine out of a few tough spots, even at times when persuaded to indulge her mischievous side. She respects his clear, level-headed thinking, but also hates the living piss out of it. Sure he saves her hide, but at the expensive of swirling in the pool of chaos. Just once she'd like to do something without hearing his voice in the back of her head telling her it is a bad idea. He is the very curse of her conscience.
Livia Crane, Chaos Incarnate . ( $ ) - Chaotic Mercenary.
Madeleine's Thoughts: "Livia is unsettling, but usually in a good way. Usually. Sometimes the woman is a frustrating itch I can't scratch, and other times the best form of entertainment this side of Limsa. I think we could be friends, if she doesn't mind the jokes I like to play. I don't think she does, as she plays a few jokes herself. Least I think they are jokes."
Together in the court forces the two of them to do work together, and sometimes Madeleine looks forward to those little moments Livia brings to the table. Livia is like a storm of mayhem, and Madeleine enjoys running through it. Other times Madeleine likes to push Livia's buttons just to oblige the feeling one gets when a bug-bite itches. The uncertainty of what their relationship could ever be brings Madeleine back for second helpings, and then she promptly wants to throw up.
Vado Mercier, Whiplash. ( $ ) - Enigmatic Engineer.
Madeleine's Thoughts: "Vado? I bet his ears are ringing because I'm talking about him right now. If I find a bomb under my bed tonight, I'll know why. Look, he's a puzzle box that I can, in no way, put together or take apart. He knows his shit, I'll give him that, and for some reason he has decided I'm just pathetic enough to warrant his help. But I'll never want to be on his bad side, ever. Not unless I've decided to rough it out in the middle of nowhere. But, that wouldn't stop him from finding me, and putting a bullet in my ass."
Madeleine fears the unknown, and that is what Vado is all wrapped up in a mechanical bow. She's seen him angry, she's seen him merciful, and both sides still left her tense and anxious to leave his personal space. Maybe one day she'll find a way to ease that tension, but because they started on the wrong foot from the get-go, she'll have a tougher time than most. Once Vado gets to know her, if she ever finds that step, he'll see she's just very weak about earning coin at another's expense.
Charlant Bastoix, Silver-Tongue. ( $ ) - Drug Lord & Ladies man.
Madeleine's Thoughts: "I have no words, Charlant stole them all, and then gave me something to help, only it didn't help, because I can't feel my face, let alone my mouth to speak. Oh wait, I am speaking. Seven hells the man his a menace, so why do I keep wanting to talk to him?"
Charlant is the only other elezen Madeleine has met in the Court, and that makes her feel like trying to find common ground with the man. Yet, his eloquent speech, his extravagant dress, and his drug-induced swagger make it extremely difficult to meet him in the middle. Whenever they share the same space, he flags over her attention, and then she is left dumb-founded more than ever before. But she keeps trying, albeit failing, to master her befuddled disposition around him in order to make a connection. That is probably as mythologic as a golden dragon.
Dalmar Fererra, Punching bag. ( $ ) - Mortal Enemy.
Madeleine's Thoughts: "Ugh. Do I have to talk about Dalmar? Can't I just fight him instead? That's our thing. I punch him, he punches me, sometimes we share a drink and talk about fighting each other. Yeah, I'd do him a favor, just like he's done for me, but we go right back to fighting as nature intended."
Dalmar and Madeleine are like two kids on a caravan trip that stretches on for days, and neither of them can sit there in the same space for more than a few minutes without pulling each other's hair, calling names, and drawing blood. It's in their very fiber to fight, and it cannot be denied. She likes him, she loathes him, sometimes she wishes he was dead, there times she is glad he is alive (to fight), but their ying and yang relationship gives her balance and she respects that.

I like to consider myself a flexible player who is willing to commit to a number of different types of scenes and role-play scenarios, but even I have my limits. If something is on the play list, assume it means yes, as long as it's within the context of the current play or ongoing plot. No's are typically a hard no, and it means don't ask.
I will play just about anything mature within reason.
Ask about injuries, dependences, and relationship advancements.
I won't play permanent death, intentional abuse, or rape plots.

Player Note
There is a lot of information on this character wiki, but it is by no means completely comprehensive. There are chunks of backstory that are left intentionally vague so that details can be later added as developed through creative writing or in role-play revelation. Feel free to use Common or Uncommon rumors freely, if you want to use a Rare Rumor as a plot hook or to spark RP, I would ask that you send me a tell first, to make certain it's alright. The line in between IC and OOC is very important to me. While I do seek to make friends and connections OOC, it might be quite the opposite IC, and that should always be considered separately. For the most part I'm usually focused on my characters, and while I do love to 'shoot the shit' I prefer to focus on in-game things when I'm in-game. I do not use other means of messaging to RP, so reaching me is restricted to in-game. If ever there is a time that I do or say something that makes you uncomfortable, please /tell me at once. No, I will not be hurt or offended, but relieved that I can make amends(if allowed) for my transgression.
