Basic Info

Rilya Oroa is a student of the arcane arts, the latest in a long line of Wildwood practitioners from Ala Mhigo.

History

Born in Ala Mhigo, Rilya was the only child of a pair of Master Arcanists. She was only 6 years old when the Garlean Empire solidified its hold on the city-state and she was the only member of her family to survive the chaos and violence surrounding the invasion. She was taken by other Elezen refugees and fled to the Black Shroud, where she was raised by an older couple. Her adoptive mother was an accomplished goldsmith and her adoptive father a skilled miner. She learned some of both trades from them, though neither was a passion for her.

Young as she was at the time of its fall, she has ever been driven to do her part to retake Ala Mhigo. So at last she made her way to Limsa Lominsa to join the Arcanists Guild, taking up her family craft in the hopes of wielding it for the benefit of whatever resistance remains in Ala Mhigo...

Personality

She is reserved, thoughtful, intelligent, empathetic, and kind. She also lacks confidence, is not always honest with her feelings, and is not the most courageous person. Yet her dogged determination to overcome her own shortcomings to do her part to help Ala Mhigo drives her to persist well beyond her comfort zone.
