𐐏 Sayuri Cinderblossom “People can call me a hero, but I just want to preserve what we've got left of our world.” A Drahn born of the Crystarium, and a member of the Guard, Sayuri is dedicated to saving what's left of Norvrandt from the Flood of Light. Along the way, she picked up the reigns of leading the First Shard's version of the free company Fireborn from their late leader, and is doing her best to be a role model to those under her. True to her nature, she is a constant workaholic, and if not with her free company, is employing her services as a carer at The Inn at Journey's Head. General 🙘

Yuri has a healthy tone of skin for all her time spent exploring under the Primordial Light, standing out against pale, off-white scales that thinly decorate her face and whatever she shows of her body. Strawberry-gold hair is streaked with dark, pinkish-red lowlights and is spent most of the time in a half-down, half-braided hairstyle that is kept mostly out of her face by being tucked behind fin-shaped horns. Her turquoise eyes seem to reflect an ocean's depth, ringed with a soft sky blue, giving her eyes an almost glowing look that is usually accompanied by some sort of smile or animated expression.

Clothing 🙘

Yuri enjoys nice, yet functional clothing; things she is not afraid to get dirty and are (mostly) suitable protection for a woman like herself. Her entire wardrobe was either crafted by herself, or made with exacting specifications in mind. Her favorite pieces are a short, leather jacket in a dusty brown, thick work gloves in a nearly matching shade, a button-down, collared shirt, harnessed shorts, and thick thigh boots that are made to take the abuses of her every day life--working for the Guard, and exploring what she can of Norvrandt! She also wears glasses, though she doesn't need them to see--in fact, her glasses often have fake or no lenses at all!

Voice 🙘

Sayuri speaks with energy and is very animated when she speaks as well. Her voice is feminine but not at all soft, and she puts strong emphasis on words when trying to make a point. She's the type to make heroic speeches before a battle to raise the morale of the troops.

Habits 🙘

Her gestures are highly animated, as if she uses her whole body to make a point. Her tail gives away much of her emotion with stiffening, swishing, and lashing. When she's distressed, or trying not to let her outer shell shatter, she starts looking at everything but people, usually focusing on something on the ground.

It's difficult to precisely pinpoint what Yuri's personality is really like. With her friends, she's full of sass and aggressive affection; with a lover, flirty, passionate and protective. With those that she helps as a carer, she's kind and sweet, the most gentle soul one would meet. When she's in battle, she is a stone-cold force of destruction. When she's alone, though....

NPC Rura-Istal ( ♥ ♥ ♥ ✖ ) ( NPC ) - Rura One of two of Yuri's dearly departed lovers, Rura was always chipper, always happy, always had something to say, and was deadly with her twin knives. She was injured heavily in a recent Sin Eater attack, and asked Yuri to be the one who made her her final meal, and deliver with it the poison that would kill her before she turned. Dawnric Howlingfist ( ♥ ♥ ✖ ) ( NPC ) - Pops Yuri's father, a cocky, white-scaled Drahn who was an apt martial artist, known for his loud voice in everything he did, and his penchant for quick, deadly strikes in combat. He was often a bodyguard for important figures, and actively worked as one of many liasons and ambassadors with Eulmore. However, he unfortunately died and was turned into an Eater twenty years ago during a surprise attack. Cassidia Fletching ( ♥ ♥ ✖ ) ( NPC ) - Mom Yuri's late mother, who died several years after her father. An accomplished archer and having basic knowledge of magic, she would introduce both to her daughter in the hopes that she would learn to protect herself in the case of the inevitable. While Yuri took more to the magic side of things, she still thanks her mother to this day for knowing how to handle a bow. Unfortunately, she was taken from Yuri when she was but a teenager, the mother leaving the daughter to fend for herself. Feathers ( ♥ ♦ ) ( NPC ) - Feathers The "family amaro", as it were. Feathers was the partner of her father, Dawnric, and when he died, partnership passed to her mother. After her mother's death, Yuri warily assumed partnership of Feathers, but has since grown to love the amaro as a family member all the same. She still doesn't think she's entirely worthy of Feathers' loyalty, but she does her best.
