Long bangs hang over one side, over the red tinted shades she usually likes to wear. She is also usually not seen without her gun holstered on her back. Physique & Markings She stands short for a Highlander, but has a wiry and toned frame. She seems more dexterous than strong. Hygiene & Attire If she is working on some gun, magitek, or a ship engine, then likely she would appear much like a grease monkey, oil and grime on her face and fingers. If she is crawling around caverns and ruins looking for treasure, she is likely covered in dust and dirt. She does not seem to mind getting her hands dirty. But if she is found in a bar or in normal social circumstances, she is usually well cleaned and dressed. Personality Psychological Profile She comes off at a first glance as cocky and brash. Her flippant attitude often puts people off, which is how she keeps people at arm's length. Only a few have seen past this exterior, and those she trusts implicitly are even rarer. (♦) - "Ro" Character's Thoughts: "I knocked her out the first time I saw her. Maybe I was trying to knock some sense into her from all the way back then. Since then I've come to call her friend... despite her stubbornness or because of it." Shael met this paladin when she took up a contract to help an old friend within the Ala Mhigan Resistance. Over the years, she has come to trust the free paladin's intentions, even if she remains critical of her idealism and drive to do good. Shael has maintained correspondence with her over the nears, coming to her call when she was needed. Brynnalia Callae, Mostly Positive. (♡) - The Frenemy Character's Thoughts: "Knowing that in the end, she will only look out for one person, herself, I can't exactly dislike her for it. I'd do the same." Brynn and Shael met while they both worked with the Ala Mhigan Resistance. Shael left soon enough for her own reasons, only returning now and then to take freelance jobs at the behest of an old friend. Shael always saw Brynn as a self-serving kind of person, and it mystified her that she would be involved in an effort to free Gyr Abania. They acknowledged each other purely on a professional level over the years, sometimes finding themselves on the same side, and sometimes not. Delial Grimsong, Negative. (✖) - Kinslayer Character's Thoughts: "I will never trust her. I will never forgive her. I don't care what the others say. I will kill her." Shael was recruited into the Resistance by one man, Aylard Greyarm, and it was for him that she continued to take smuggling missions even after she left the cause. Then one day, his severed head was delivered in a box, a deed of the Kinslayer who was hunting down his sect. Shael has tried now multiple times to kill her, and yet every time, she has failed to finish the job. She is not sure why. Gharen Wolfsong, Somewhat Positive. (✔) - Lovesick Fool Character's Thoughts: "He tries to do good, but I can see there is viciousness in there somewhere. Also a fool." Shael first met this Highlander when an old friend that she admired greatly, touted him as a possible next leader of the Resistance. But that was years ago. Since, Shael has seen Wolfsong suffer, turn, and then ally himself with those who hunted the Resistance. Shael thought him a lost cause, until recently he called upon her to help the Resistance again. He still seems to have a weakness for a certain Kinslayer, so Shael can't rightfully call him an ally. Kiht Jakkya, Positive. (✔) - "Kiht-Kat" Character's Thoughts: "Ro trusts her with her life, she can't be that bad." Shael met this Keeper when she came to Roen's aid, more than once. She was one contact that Roen had no doubt about trusting with her life. Shael then worked with her while smuggling supplies into Gyr Abania and took a liking to her blunt and honest personality. She also respects her capable skills as a hunter and a tracker. Nabi Kharlu, Somewhat Positive. (✔) - Xaela Herbalist Character's Thoughts: "Why does she keep trying to help me?" Shael was in a desperate place when she encountered Nabi. And it led her to duping the Xaela, stealing from her, and also luring her out to the wildness and leaving her stranded. And yet despite all this, Nabi still came to her aid and tended to her broken arm and hand. Shael has recently tried to square the debt she feels she owes the Xaela, but she is not sure why she sill feels obliged to her. Tserende Valqirelle, Complicated.
