I'm so lost... given the garlean empire has had control of the other three major continents up until now, for some time now, I'm inclined to believe he may be garlean trained, which only further creates some issues for this, already gary stu - ish character..

First off, ceruleum fueled daggers? Ceruleum, by all accounts, is highly volatile. You're more apt to detonate your arms than do any real damage to an opposition other than through collateral damage.
