Priam Dayne
The Autumn Prince
ContentsDetails
Priam Dayne is a half-breed Wildwood/Elezen born on the 13th of the 3rd Umbral Moon of the 1527th cycle in the 6th Astral Era, somewhere in the Black Shroud. He grew up an orphan alone in his childhood until a now forgotten bard became his mentor. From him, Priam was taught the knowledge of those muses of eld who followed the path of the true bard for years before he embarked on a journey throughout the known world. He returned to Eorzea a little while into the 7th Umbral Era.
Priam is a man of tall stature, with a coat of fair hair and a golden tan complexion. He wears his hair long and a beard trimmed close to his face. Many who meet him agree that the bard is strikingly handsome. Though he is a bard thus, seen by many, he tends to hide his luminescent blue eyes behind the tip of a feathered hat, dark like the long and ornamented overcoat he wears when he is seen musing and performing. A coat which resembles those found in lands to the far east of Eorzea.
Personality
Priam is a masterful public speaker. With a pleasant voice, good looks and poise combined with the appeal of what he says, he is able to enthral his audience. He is always unflustered, polite and smiling even in the face of criticism, and he urges those around him to be the same. He is often seen as a gentle and loving person and indeed he is, but that does not mean that he would not himself be critical when he thinks it is necessary. He is very critical of some of the beliefs of sectors devout to the Twelve for he believes that believing in such things dumbs peoples’ wisdom. He is a practical, determined and decisive man, a man who weighs the merit of people by intangible elements such as courage and discipline. The wandering bard spends little time rationalizing, analyzing and categorizing things. Instead he acts on what he thinks is right therefore does not need to weigh the pros and cons. Should he fight for anything, his fight is not for any assortment of large principals. What he fights for, he fights for because he finds value in it and because he wants to.
Often times he feels the need to be completely alone.
