H I S T O R Y

A child of the Keepers of the Moon, Zari'to or as those in his clan call him, Little Wolf, knew no other life then that within the Black Shroud under the guidance of his very strict mother. A simple though demanding life by most standards, he would have continued on serving as a hunter for his community if it not were for the disappearance of his elder brother who vanished during the calamity that befell Eorzea. Though his family believed his older brother was killed during the ensuing chaos, Zari'to was not convinced and after spending five years of working up the courage to leave the Black Shroud, he finally received the push he needed when he received a package from his brother. Containing his old bow and a letter that simply read "Live your life." the young Miqo knew what he had to do. Knowing his brother to be alive, Zari'to, now simply going by Honi, set off to find his brother.

His journey has brought him all across the many lands of Hydaelyn and though he has yet to find his brother, he has met a great deal of new people and has come onto his own as a individual. Finding camaraderie within the ranks of the Maelstrom and a purpose in aiding the Free Company Vanguard Sanctum in maintaining order through out the realm, Honi looks forward to growing as a person and though he is not sure where the path he chose will take him, he looks forward to the journey nonetheless.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Guarded, Honi is ever weary, even more so then your average adventurer. He has a tendency of being overly careful and is prone to taking his time when casting judgement upon others, choosing to gather as much information before forming a solid opinion. He has a tendency of down playing how dangerous he life can be at times, avoiding details about his activity within the Maelstrom and as an Agent for the Sanctum by coyly suggesting he is nothing more then a supply officer as oppose to the truth. He does enjoy a challenge and despite he relaxed approach to life, he can sometimes become reckless, driven by emotion then sound thought given the circumstances.

Interesting enough, Honi prefers to be addressed by his clans surname, as he relationship with his mother is strained and thus, chooses not to use her forename. While speaking to others, he tends to use honorifics (Master, Mistress, Lord, Lady)when addressing them, something he attributes to his own Master, as it was part of his training. He often jokes he would incur his Master's wraith if he was caught not using titles, though once he gets to know someone he tends to drop them.

Notable Features

Common Appearance: Honi's complexion is sepia, adopting a reddish brown hue that compliments his golden eyes. His hair is dark with streaks of red, that he dyed in honor of his clan as they often use red war paint on their bodies. Though slim, his body like many Miqo'te, is muscled and well tuned to moving fast. His tail is longer and bushier then most of his kind, earning him the nick name of Little Wolf.

Scars & Markings: He carries the usual facial markings of his people, with small freckles around his cheeks. Like most male hunters from his clan he places red paint across his cheeks in a stripe like pattern. The ritual application of war paint to the face is regularly practiced before going on the hunt, a tradition symbolizing their readiness to stain their hands with blood, as well as sending a message to their gods that they are prepared to serve them as warriors in the afterlife should they fall. It is believed the vivid colors grant lunar powers.

Voice: Honi speaks in measured tones, thoughtful and careful to choose the right words though with time, he speech becomes more relaxed as he gets to know the person he is talking to. Given the situation, he does tend to ramble saying one thing and then second guessing himself which often creates comical moments.

Clothing: Honi holds no real attachments to finery, often choosing form over function. He has no real sense of fashion or style, wearing what is presented to him at the time if it is of better quality then what he currently wears. He has found though he is partial to clothing that is both of dark and red, finding the pairing appealing. He has also become partial to bandanas and hats, thinking it gives him a roguish quality.
