Basic Info

At an unimposing five fulms, Kaiya was a typical, lean, pale-skinned, white-haired Miqo'te. Her eyes were blue, with round pupils characteristic of Keepers of the Moon and almost everyone else. Thin, tribal streaks were drawn across the side of her face. Her usual attire was well kept, and she was rarely seen without a pair of round glasses on her face and a grimoire at her side.

History

At a young age, Kaiya's parents uncharacteristically took her to the Arcanist's Guild and left her within their care. Given her age and experience with the world, she was unaware of how abnormal her presence was as a Keeper of the Moon child. During the near two decades she spent there, her parents visited once a year, occasionally missing a year if something important came up. During her time at the Arcanist's Guild, she excelled at her studies and gained a patriotic zeal for Limsa Lominsa. When the lost arts of Nym Scholars resurfaced, she began to learn them as soon as possible. A little over a year ago, she took a special interest in field work and travel. Eventually, she moved to Ul'Dah, due in part to a need to explore the world, and in part a new employ in the Hungry Wolf free company.

Personality

While she managed to be among some of the most astute students of Arcanist magic, she lacked in social graces for most of her time in the Guild. As time progressed, she grew to be a kind, caring, formal woman, if still lacking in the ability to pick up on certain social cues. Despite these improvements, her ability to be socially active in larger groups remains somewhat inconsistent; sometimes doing perfectly fine, and other times goes near silent and phasing out of the conversation. Regardless, the Arcanist's Guild raised her to be a strategist and a tactician. If she feels it necessary, she quickly discards her kindness and return to the cold, calculating logic that she was taught to embrace.

Affiliations

Limsa Lominsa - Her home, and the home of the Arcanist's Guild. For better or worse, she carries an unquestioning loyalty to her city-state.

Hungry Wolf - Her current Free Company, she aids them in whatever way she can. Sometimes her aid comes in recruitment, other times in retrieval and healing jobs, frequently in research, and occasionally as a caretaker.

Other Notes

- She has a small, but effective network in Limsa Lominsa.

- One of the few, behavioral traits she kept as a Keeper was a preference for moonlight over sunlight.

- She regularly submits research to the Arcanist's Guild.
