personalitypersonality

Luka’a comes from a somewhat isolated and difficult life in the Shroud. His clan was small, and he was the only son born to his family with quite a few older sisters. His parents stopped with him for fear of another male coming in to the tribe. Though close enough with his siblings, he always kept himself at a safe distance. His mother was the primary provider, father fleeing for reasons unknown to him when he was just a kitten. Not that the family felt any bit torn apart with so many siblings running around to help with hunting and raising him as they lived throughout the Twelveswood.

His kind was always called poachers, and those that weren’t and attempted to go in to the city proper were often shot looks and whispers to be wary. The few that weren’t wary had no sense of personal space or understanding that just because Luka’a might stick out like a sore thumb with his pink fur did not mean an open invitation for people to come up and pet his head to try and make conversation. His trips in to the city became fewer and fewer as he grew and only showing up for necessities, staying no longer than he had to. The quietness and solitude of the woods made him feel more at home.

Though through living life like this, his social skills are not the best, and he tends to be a bit inept at reading social queues and situations. He is always on high alert for sounds and movements around him though, ready to defend himself at a moment’s notice. He’s skeptic of others and it tends to show, taking a while to warm up to those around him. Once he’s warmed up though he’s not all too bad - a bit of a sarcastic, playful little shit who enjoys causing some trouble here and there. He’s a hard worker and is one to overwork himself when it comes to trying to help out others, and does have a good heart. He just wants to take life easy and live a relaxed, honest one.

He possesses the echo where it’s manifested so he can understand wildlife, which makes the Shroud feel more like home than in cities filled with people where he can’t understand their motives or what they’re thinking half the time.
