Appearance & Personality

Nerau is dark skinned au ra with black hair, black scales and bright eyes sharing the color green and dark pink. His facial traits are soft and young looking making him quite approachable for an au ra. His build is rather small compared to members of his clan but despite that, he still has a fair amount of muscles thanks to his race. He is physically strong and agile as well. When it comes to clothes though, Nerau stands out more than others as he is often seen wearing the strict minimum. He feels more comfortable with minimal clothes even when being on the front lines of a battle. Despite his numerous battles, the young au ra managed to acquire but a minimum of scars, healing fast enough to hide most wounds.

In term of personality, Nerau is timid and often worried about all sorts of things. He is often socially awkward and shy but he has a good and gentle heart despite his scary looks. He his comfortable with friends and treasure the people he know dearly to the point of taking a hit for them in time of need. He will never offend anyone willingly and if he does, it would be a tactless mistake from his part which would be followed by an apology. Nerau apologize often and is always afraid of disturbing or annoying someone and will rarely approach someone by himself unless he knows that person. Alongside these, Nerau is also naive and will often not get a joke, a reference or detect the true intention of someone outright. He's not very good at making others laugh either has he barely has any sense of humour. He does laugh at other people's jokes when he gets them but he will rarely have a comeback.

In battle though, Nerau becomes much more serious and focused. Hunting and fighting for most of his life, the au ra does not kid around when it comes to a fight and will show his true auri colors to any worthy threat.

Background

Early Years

Nerau was born naked and remained naked (or sometimes wearing minimal armor with fudoshi during hunting campaigns) for the first 19 summers of his life. He grew up in the Othard Desert under the guidance of his father and older brothers and learned to live the life of a proud au ra, braving the desert sun, hunting worthy prays and defending his clan against others. Due to the rough beatings and the constant nagging of his older brothers, Nerau slowly developed a more introvert personality, mostly keeping things to himself and rarely expressing himself to the much stronger members of his family. Most of the time, he took care of his brothers' wounds and ended worrying for them more than anything. He lived a nomadic but decent life and rarely did his family was ever in need. As early as his 13th summer, he was already assisting other peaceful clans in daily tasks and exploring the wilderness in search of hidden supplies and preys.

Ever since he could remember, the boy was always driven by a powerful wanderlust and on his 19th summer, he requested to his father the freedom to explore the world which was granted by the proud father. Days later, the young au ra was

Needless to say, his lack of clothing was quickly noticed amougst the locals and the young Nerau was arrested. Rare was a Torgud ever seen out of the Othard Desert but luckily for the young au ra, another au ra witnessing the event explained the situation to the authorities an hour later which in turn allowed the newly arrived Nerau to walk free. Luckily for him, Nerau had packed his light armor and fudoshi which was minimal but a least accepted clothings. Following that day, older au ra explained to the young Torgud how it worked in Eorzea
