Quill is the trusty chocobo companion of Gridanian archer Yayonzo Poponzo. She was awarded to Yayonzo as a means to coerce the young archer into eventually joining the ranks of the Twin Adder. Quill is sassy and independent in nature, and constantly reminds Yayonzo of this by teasing him and playing pranks.

Appearance

Quill's feathers match up nearly perfectly with the color of her owner Yayonzo's, hair. This was done purposefully by the lalafell as she was growing up, as he wanted he and his chocobo companion to match. The feathered plumage on her helmet was chosen by a cooperating Yayonzo and Quill, as Quill is a fan of feathers, and Yayonzo was keen on keeping her color scheme intact. Her trademark barding consists of a large, feathered chest piece that was designed to mimic the look of an angel. Quill refuses to take this off in favor of a more protective bit of armor, as she adores the way her barding makes her look. Around her ankles are white leg guards with wings that sprout from the back, matching the look of her flagrant chest piece.

♦ Yayonzo Poponzo - Shockingly enough, Quill does love Yayonzo, though she would rather be caught dead than displaying this affection. While she regularly teases the poor lalafell, Quill knows that he takes it in good stride, and always does his best to ensure her happiness. After all, he's been her owner from the very moment she was hatched.
