History
Not much is known about R’avij’s early years other than he was found washed upon the shores of Vylbrand when he was only five. He was found by a clan of Hellsguard during a training regime and with only his birth name and date to go by, he was taken in and raised along side them.
As he got older he began to train alongside the young Roegadyn of his age who laughed and mocked him because of his differences. They would often pull his tail and make fun of his feline like ears and make awful comments of his actual heritage. They even went to go so far as to say his differences would cost him his life in the heat of a real battle. But R’avij was ever determined to prove them wrong. He built himself on the constant threats and insults that would get thrown at him, driving himself to adapt because of his differences.
Upon the age of eighteen when the trainees of his clan could prove themselves in front of an audience, R’avij stood up from the masses and challenged any who would deny him his rights to live amongst the Hellsguard. Surprisingly he was met by the very same individuals who made petty threats as he was growing up. He fought the first assailant and beat him with ease. Then the second came barreling in after, and another one bit the dust. After two were down more of his former nay-sayers decided to attack him all at once, and with the poise and grace he displayed before, he beat them all into submission. For you see.. his tail gave him the balance he needed to stay aloft and recover from what would be stumbling blows, his ears gave him heightened anticipation to alert him of even the slightest shift around him, and his small size and reflexes allowed him to easily evade and dodge his adversaries as well as deliver quick and precise blows. Though it was not a death match, those who doubted him before soon came to realize how well the Miqo’te managed himself. It was then that he earned his long awaited respect of the Hellsguard clan.
Though as two years passed, he enlisted himself in the Grand Company of Limsa Lominsa; The Maelstrom, along side his former rivals and current companions. They were soldiers but for a short time when they were sent to Mor Dhona for what would be the final battle of many.. and it was there.. in the last moments that his life had changed indefinitely..
Personality
Being raised by the Hellsguard, R’avij, had to force himself to become as tough and tempered as his adopted parents. During his early teens he was brave, determined, and had a light cheerful aura about him. But nothing could bring him down, not even his fellow trainee’s attitude towards his indifference. No matter what insult they threw at him, he had the determination and strive to prove them wrong, and prove them wrong he did on his eighteenth year.
After the battle of Carteneau, R’avij’s personality had changed drastically. He was still his brave and determined self.. but .. his reasons for being so had altered. His body and mind became more skittish, straight forth and almost bordering on outrageous in his attempts to pick fights. His opinions became more vocal and deranged. Many believe he has lost his marbles due to the strain the battle of Carteneau put on his young body and mind and the fact he lost many a great deal of allies in the battle itself. Whatever the case may be, R’avij’ mind had been broken in some way shape or form.
