Ren's appearance is what you would expect from someone born of nobility. He stands at a little under 6 fulms and weighs around 110 ponzes. He possesses the signature slender frame of most midlander men but he does have plenty of muscle in all the right places. His natural silver hair is usually dyed with with a light tint of pink at the tips and styled short and unruly with bangs over his right eye. He has smooth rosy white skin which is uncommon for Far Eastern natives. His visage is born from the combination of his mother's small facial features and his father's strong defined looks. Ren has golden eyes, believed by some Hingans as a sign of prosperity and wealthy.
Scars & Markings: Ren doesn't have a scar on him but he does have a beauty mark just below his left nipple.
Clothing: Ren's wardrobe ranges from light colored Hingan clothing such as suikans, haoris, yukatas and hakamas to more casual pieces such as unbuttoned collared shirts and capri pants. His choice of footwear is usually slippers or boots. He's never without some sort of eyewear, preferring wide thick-framed glasses that compliment his slender eyes. As for jewelry, he can always be seen wearing a bracelet made of small azurite orbs. Other than that, he can sometimes be seen wearing rings and earrings of silver and/or gold.

Takahisa is Ren's overbearing father. Based on the stories that Ren heard from his relatives, Takahisa (or whatever his previous name is) was an ijin who married into the Himino family. With his ruthless determination, he managed to wrest control of the family business from his relatives and establish himself as the new head of the clan. His wife Sayaka, bore him one son, Ren. Ever since then, Takahisa has been working tirelessly to ensure that Ren inherits the clan once he passes on, even going as far as arranging the deaths of Sayaka's children from her previous marriage. Most recently, he took Ren with him to Eorzea to have him study Eorzean trade and commerce in Ul'dah.
Sayaka is from a lesser branch of the Himino clan. Even at a young age, she was filled with ideas of splendor and grandeur but her family's low status among the clan's hierarchy proved to be the bane of her dreams. Even after marrying another prominent businessman, it did little to elevate her status among the clan. All that changed when she met Takahisa who promised to fulfill her lavish dreams if she went along his plans. Needless to say, she is finally living the life she long craved for. As for her relationship with her son, Ren barely looks up to her as his mother as he rarely interacted with Sayaka. She mostly left Ren under the care of her servants for most of his childhood.
Tomoko is one of Sayaka's children from her previous marriage with Kazuto Katagiri. Ren has fond memories of her and her brother, Iori, during his childhood. Tomoko, her brother and their father perished when their manor was set ablaze 10 years ago.

Hiromichi is Sayaka's previous husband. Ren met him a few times during his childhood but due to his disdain for Takahisa, he didn't really care for Ren. He would often scold Iori and Tomoko for playing with Ren. He died with his children 10 years ago when their manor was set ablaze.
Junpei was one of the first people Ren met in Eorzea. He immediately developed a bond to the soft-spoken Doman and the two can often be seen chatting in the Quicksand or taking walks on the city outskirts. Though there's some romantic tension between the two as of late, Ren elects to remain friends with the swordsman until he resolves an issue regarding a past lover.
Evading an interaction the Limsan assessor and self-proclaimed member of the Mamool seems impossible when one lived in Ul'dah. During their first encounter, Ren found his behavior extremely odd and initially thought to steer clear of the green-haired youth. However, during another encounter, he discovered that he found delight in bullying the easily flustered new worlder. They've been friends ever since then, and even occasionally sharing a bed together.
Ren met Alistair while worrying over Junpei one night. The older highlander consoled him and gave him some friendly advise, even going as far as offering to be a guide to the Azim Steppes in their upcoming journey. Ren has made it his life mission to find out what exactly Alistair does for a living and one of his inquisitive attempts ended up with him sharing a passionate evening with the wizened warrior. Most recently, he has hired Alistair as a bodyguard for an investigation he's conducting.
Ren met Cal one particularly droll night, finding amusement that the beautiful blond was walking around with nothing more than a panelo around his waist. They chatted and ended up taking stroll to the Floating City of Nym where Cal shared his relationship problems. Ren comforted Cal the best way he could and the two have remained friends ever since.
Ren and Y’velth met during The Rising festival when the Hingan had lost an item of significant value. The half-blind miqo’te helped him look for his lost valuables and in exchange, offered the sultry entertainer dinner and a place to crash. They’ve been friends ever since… in more ways than one.
