Introduction

The Oathsworn Vigil is a free company led by Ferathir Dawnbreaker. It was formed when both he and V'ieh Vhessi recited the First Oath to one another, unofficially forming the Vigil. It wasn't until some time after Minako Obinata joined the Vigil that the Oathsworn Vigil took the full form of a free company. The company is more of a brother/sisterhood rather than a sort of organization. They focus solely on what they call "the Oath." The Oath is a pact of sorts that the Oathsworn swear to one another, promising to be Vigilant for one another until the end of time itself. Hence; "The Oathsworn Vigil."

The First Oath

"I swear onto thee my unwavering loyalty, that you might not experience solitude anymore. I swear onto thee my wrath to those who would harm you. I swear onto thee an Oath that transcends all bonds; an eternal Vigil so that none may overtake you. I will be your friend... your brother... your father... your son... your husband. I will be your sword and your shield. Now and always." - Ferathir Dawnbreaker

It is this very Oath that was used by Ferathir when he first formed the Oathsworn Vigil alonside V'ieh. While there are a lot if implications by the words recited, the idea ultimately is to convey a bond of love that transcends all formal titles. The Oath, is of course adjusted accordingly by the one reciting it, but the idea of it always remains the same.

Pledge's Oath

There is no formal pledge that is used specifically when an individual pledges themselves to the Oathsworn. Instead, the pledge is entirely made up by an individual with the goal of conveying a promise; that while they do not fully comprehend the Oath in its entirety they care enough about the Oathsworn to learn more about it and devote themselves to one day be able to take up the First Oath and mean it. This, however, does not mean that the Pledge itself is meaningless in comparison. In truth, it is held in high regards. But it is an "easier" alternative to those not one-hundred percent certain about what it means to be an "Oathsworn."

Oathsworn Solutions was a business front that the Oathsworn Vigil adopted for some time. It helped the Oathsworn Vigil significantly by providing them with sufficient funds to pursue many projects, including the creation of their airship fleet. Whether by allowing the company to purchase materials or to pay for retainers that would collect said materials, they were covered. However, Ferathir ultimately decided to end the company's business front and pursue re-fortifying what brought the Oathsworn together in the first place; their Oath.

Airship Fleet

The fleet at the disposal of the Oathsworn Vigil was engineered primarily by Yari no Suna and Ferathir "Dawnbreaker" Lauhafiere. It acts as the primary source of income for the company, as it provides the company with many rare resources that are often used to either sell for profit or used to meet business demands.

Freight-Class Airships

The Oathseeker - The first airship to be built for the company. It is cared for and manned by Ferathir Dawnbreaker himself. The Oathseeker's primary purpose is to gather and secure as many items as possible obtained in the Sea of Clouds. Due to its massive Enterprise Hull and Oddysey Aftcastle, the ship is perhaps the slowest of the four. It is, however, the pride and joy of the Oathsworn Vigil, netting the company the most items of value in one trip.
The Oathmender - The third airship to be built for the company. It is cared for and manned by V'ieh Vhessi. The Oathmender was named by V'ieh, reflecting her desire to mend her broken Oath with the Oathsworn. It is another freight-class airship and it is the second-fastest airship the company has in their disposal. Capable of retrieving and holding a considerable amount of items while still not hurting for speed makes this ship an excellent addition to the fleet.
Thata'fly Ship - The second airship to be built for the company and perhaps the one that has undergone the most modifications... The Thata'fly Ship is cared for and manned by Thata'wo Kaatapoh and was named by him after himself. It is the third-fastest airship the company has under their fleet. Much like the Oathseeker, Thata'fly Ship was designed with the idea of retrieving and holding as many items as possible by sacrificing speed. Theoretically, it is supposed to be the second most valuable ship in the Oathsworn Fleet, however it often fails to bring back the expected quota of items for unknown reasons...

Exploration-Class Airships

Minako no Raito - The fourth and final airship built for the company. It is commandeered by Minako Obinata and it was named by her. The ship's name translates to "Light of the Beautiful Child" and it lives up to its name by illuminating the way for the Oathsworn Fleet and discovering new, uncharted sectors for the Free Company. It is the fastest airship, also capable of traveling the greatest distance without sacrificing too many resources in doing so. While it is not designed with the idea of item retrieval and securing, it never fails to disappoint in bringing back one or two items of great value in each of its trips to the Sea of Clouds.

Home of the Vigil

The Yard

The yard.

The yard has a very simple, yet natural look to it. It has a small pond, three desert ironwood trees and several other floral arrangements, such as topiary bushes and lattice planters. There is also the obligatory deluxe garden bed as well as the chocobo stables to house all of the company member's chocobos. There are other basic items nearby, such as the moogle delivery box and an aetheryte shard to facilitate transportation via teleportation magic. A knight's cookfire sits in the front of the yard, paying homage to Ishgard, the owner's homeland. Despite it being a business, it does not have a retainer section for possible business to be concluded outside.

Hanatsuma and Ferathir in the lobby.

The Lobby

The Lobby is where the main traffic of Oathsworn Solutions happens. Generally speaking, most business happens here, fit with a summoning bell station for retainers, a solid metal company chest for valuables of the company and an aetherical weaving stand available for experienced users to manipulate. Visitors have a place to sit in waiting, with a grand clock and the front counter is usually maintained 24/7.

The Lounge and Kitchen

The main sitting area of the lounge. To be further expanded.

The Lounge and Kitchen are usually reserved for company members, though the public is allowed in the lower half of the estate. A cozy space where the orchestrion is placed, as well as a large fireplace, warming the seating area. The couches placed are plentiful, offering seating for many who frequent the lounge. A triple triad board is present on the coffee table in the middle of the seating area. To the side, there's an armoire for company members to use to store weapons, armor, etc. A table with a logbook rests against the stairwell, as well as an aesthetician's bell when a member's appearance requires touching up.

A small kitchenette, and a dining area always filled with food; Currently stationed with Doman styled cuisine.

The kitchenette is temporary until the necessary funding is available for a room in the hallways to be expanded. It's currently equipped with a stove and oven, as well as a full wine rack. The estate maidservant is usually cooking something during the day, and the menu is currently still on Doman styled cuisine. The hope is for the kitchen to be expanded into the hallway, to open up the lounge more.

The Doman Bathhouse

A small glimpse of the Doman-styled bathhouse.

Built from the ground up by V'ieh, the bathhouse is a tribute and homage to the Auri refugees of the company, hopefully sparking a feeling of home in their lives away from Othard and Doma. It features a massage table, an open-hearthed sauna with marble benches, as well as a fully heated bath, with operational shower head. It also has a small tea table with green tea at the ready, as well as traditional Doman treats, and a partitioned changing area with a wardrobe for clothing storage. This bathhouse is open to the public, and is cleaned and maintained every night.

A small section of the soon-to-be library.

The Library

The library is still currently in development, and is at the moment, manned by Zazavasi Papavasi.

Offices and Bedrooms

Ferathir's Office

The main office of the estate, also serves as Ferathir and Minako's bedroom, darkly coloured in tone with a mix of Ishgardian and Ul'dahn flare.

Minako's Room

Minako's unofficially spare bedroom, currently housing Hanatsuma.

Thata'wo's Room

A cluttered but somewhat functional room owned by Thata'wo, but also V'ieh's treasure and stolen goods dumping ground. The style is very... obscure, with a backwards Thaumaturge lectern being used as a throne, a shady looking treasure chest, and a sectioned off bathtub.

Malashae's Room

A quaint, cozy room owned by Malashae, also serving as an office working space for her as well. It's unclear whether she spends a lot of time in there with her husband, Zazavasi.

Valadron's Room

A very simple room. One that looks like it'd be owned by a serial killer. Too tidy, too plain.

R'anael's Room

An unfinished room, with a lot of tables, and a princess bed.

Currently OOC Rooms

Room 3, Mikomi's Room. Room 5, Saran's Room. Room 6, Azuma's Room.
