The Basics
===Appearance===She was adopted by a Sea Wolf woman(with a past) who found her as discarded newborn. Saw Sela as a sign that she should continue to live and do something positive with her life.
Sela's mother runs a farm outside of Limsa, one stormy evening a bit of that past showed up in the form of "grandmother" a Black Mage her mother had dealings with who brought with her a vast knowledge of magic and two orphaned lalafell. Has some interesting ideas about Thaumaturgy. (Taught by her dunesfolk 'grandmother' who doesn't exactly agree with ideas set forth in Ul'dah and may have left the order...forcibly.)
The farm takes on a limited number of refugees and people that need help. Mostly from Mother's old connections and exclusive word of mouth. You would think that this could be dangerous. But there is an unspoken understanding that it's safe haven and...things...have happened to those that would attempt to take advantage of the farm's kindness. There's a black mark on the side of a rocky outcrop that acts as a landmark of sorts but is never spoken of.
Thanks to this Sela has heard STORIES. So many different kinds of stories and quite a few that she probably didn't understand exactly all of when she was of a more tender age. So even though she had a pretty happy upbringing she's not blind to the truth of the harder sides of life and those who were not as lucky. "You need to understand that everyone travels a different path." - Grandmother.
Because of this she craves a good story, it's (almost) as good as gil to her.
Speaking of gil, she doesn't have a lot. What she makes by being a seamstress and mender she often either sends most of it home or will spend every dime on making sure a commissioned garment has only the finest materials. This leaves her with a rather eccentric appearance at times. Sometimes attending events in her "work clothes" or coming up with creative ways to dye things she already has to match up with theme nights.
To this length she does not have permanent lodging in an apartment or FC house. She'll dance around where she lives if asked, but it's a tent outside of Gridania in the Hawthorne Hut area. It's cozy and just the right size for a small Keeper with a little garden just out of sight and almost enough room for her supplies and living needs.
She's able to keep things suitably warm in the winter, but it requires several layers, a carefully checked stove and looking like a living blanket.
She's bad at making a good cup of coffee. If you want something that'll dissolve your spoon however, here's your mug.
She has some rather--interesting--theories about how BLM works, thanks to her grandmother's teaching. Hoo boy.
She's unsure about being a Keeper, even though by weird luck, she ended up in could be considered a hybrid of their matriarcal society with her small blended family run by two unrelated females.
When she's feeling unsure there's a chance you'll find her gravitating to female roes like her mother to feel safe, or chatting with lalafell that remind her of her sisters.
She's oddly nervous around Elezen. This could be because of her limited exposure to them. So good job moving to the Shroud Sela! ha. She feels awkward around other Miqote. While it's not like she wasn't around other cattes growing up. She just feels like she's not very good at it.
Feed her and you have a friend for life.
She likes to lose herself in crowds at events but would love to have friends to go with.
She can do light healing and will tell you that cloth isn't the only thing she can mend. Yeah, she'll stitch you up nice and pretty.
Embroidery and fishing are hobbies. She tends towards practical hobbies.
Smells like the woods.
Should go work for the library.
Hair gets all poofy when casting thunder. WHY.
