Tyh De'hj An audacious bravado with enough swagger to make a a ship full of even the most hardened sailors blush, Tyh is a young woman who has come from nothing to make a something of herself. A series of morally questionable escapades and the acquisition of fortune both well-earned and ill-gotten has thrust her onto a larger stage than anything she was prepared for. Now, her exploits and credentials have earned this former member of the rogue's guild a hand chosen seat at the helm of a new monetarist venture into the far-east to earn greater fortunes still by whatever means she sees fit. Keen and resourceful, with unconventional tactics and combat styles she feels suited for the challenge - but the true test will lie in her ability to balance her own idealistic sense of justice and optimism against those of her dispassionate financiers expectations for a high return on their investments into her new organization through whatever means necessary.

Given Name: Tyh De'hj [/tī/ d-ej] The name is something of an enigma to her. Born to a tribe unknown to her, for reasons likewise unknown her mother fled to the city shortly after her birth. Her name was unlike other female seekers but when pressed her mother simply falls into silence on the reason as to her name.

Residence: The Galleon [Shirogane, Ward 15, Plot 15, Northeastern Shirogane] A bustling embassy that sees a steady stream of traffic all walks of life. The business that goes on inside rarely leaves the handsome wood framed doors.

Sitting high atop the furthest reaches of the humid island sits the embassy. Functioning both as a residence for those who need and desire it as well as a place of work the location is a lively spot, often crowded by those either going about their daily tasks or resting between their respective duties. While only just recently built, the place has become a hub of activity in the area that has drawn some measure of attention from those with dilemmas to solve and the coin to see them tended to.

She's promised the world to many and more, but her sweet words are often that and little more. Shamelessly bedding those she desires, a previous relationship that took a turn for the tragic has left Tyh both cynical and fearful of commitment. It's impossible to say if it will be time that heals this particularly deep wound, or if she simply has yet to meet the right person.

When pressed, Tyh doesn't seem to have a particularly strong preference of which gender she lies with. All things equal she does seem to find her companionship from men more often than women, though it is not particularly for liking the look of the more. On the contrary, she prefers the physicality of the female form. However it is the traits more common in masculinity - boldness, assertiveness and risk taking that attract her more than any form, and spark excitement within her, as well as the beginnings of romantic interest.

A difficult and at times paradoxical woman in her desires she prefers those who are bold and forthright, however to be egregiously so is to be what she despises most. Urbanity, tact, and genuine charm are a rare combination indeed, but never has she been one to settle for anything short of what she wants.

Religion/Philosophy : An idealist at heart, Tyh believes in the inherent goodness of others and in protecting those unable to defend themselves. It was these same beliefs that lead to her ejection from the rogue's guild as she perused her duties too zealously and moved beyond her role as one who kept the peace and instead acted as a vigilante meting out her own strong sense of justice. While she holds no particular religious beliefs, she does go out of her way to help those less fortunate than her, using her accumulated wealth to better the lives of those on the lowest rung of society.

Style: A scrappy skirmisher with a penchant for simply not being where an adversary swings their blade, Tyh has cobbled together her own fighting style from years of experience under different disciplines.

Tyh's fighting history is diverse at best and confused at worst, Making due with self instruction and incomplete training. Her early years was trial and error street fighting that served to do little other than familiarize her with combat and to grow her confidence. In her teens she served aboard a mercantile ship in the Limsan fleet where some of the older sailors who'd taken a liking to her yielded to her constant pleading and insistence and taught her to use an arming blade style of sword play. Practicing at every opportunity on the long voyages, she was often spotted in various parts of the ship improving her footwork and swinging at foes imagined into existence. Once again she was largely self taught, but the occasional sparing partner gave her the confidence to continue her craft as she saw noticeable improvements in the weeks and months that followed. When her crew was disbanded, a year and some odd months training with the rogues guild taught her to utilize her guile and sleight of hand techniques, along with their formal training with daggers which have since become her weapon of choice.

Specialization: Tyh has a knack for evasion and endurance, compensating for her smaller size by outlasting, and infuriating her opponents. Fast, spry, and infuriatingly impossible to pin down she often seeks to goad her opponents to throw them off balance. She's at her best one she can focus her attention on isolated combat with someone - or something slower than her.

Tyh prefers to only take fights that she is confident she has already won for herself through creating unfair advantages in location, environment, or by other means. Patient and unflappable, she waits for an adversary to make a fatal flaw before ending a fight quickly and decisively. Comfortable in a fair fight, but far from preferring them Tyh will seek to outlast and wear down her opponent until they're flagging, ever keen on finding an exploitable weakness to tip the scales in her favor.

Strengths: Her greatest strength lies in her ability to create the conditions for victory utilizing a versatile set of skills that are infuriating to deal with.

Fast, freakishly acrobatic and with a nigh bottomless reservoir of stamina she has the ability to draw fights out until she can tip the scales in her own favor. Not only that, but she has a knack for throwing her opponents off guard both by way of resourceful creativity, finding ways to use her environment to her advantage and by getting under their skin with goading both verbal and non. Though physically smaller than most of her opponents, Tyh's active lifestyle has made her physically stronger than one would expect her to be and thus mitigates her greatest weakness by a considerable amount.

Weaknesses: While she's well rounded, Tyh has several key weaknesses which she does her best to compensate for with her fighting style.

Tyh has several key weaknesses that can be used against her in certain situations. Her preference for being able to move freely and fast leaves her often wearing lighter armors where one wrong move can lose her the match at best and her life at worst. Despite being toned, athletic, and strong, she is still a miqo'te and many of her opponents are simply physically more powerful than her. Beyond a modest skill for pistols, she has few ways of dealing with adversaries at range of her. Most critically of all is her ideological aversion to killing unless absolutely necessary. In a life or death struggle an opponent with no such qualms will have a considerable advantage to leverage over her that may lead her simply to flee if she cannot incapacitate.

Armour: Preferring light, flexible armor Tyh is often only armored about the vital organs of her chest, preferring her movement to be left as unrestricted as possible. If she knows combat is imminent she will dress for the occasion - often in something with many deep, secured pockets on the inner linings that allow her to conceal various tools and devices with which she can create an advantage, from alchemical flash powders to single shot, pre-loaded flintlocks that are easy to conceal.

♦ Friends and allies ♥●Karu Koharu: Originally antagonistic towards each other, circumstance set them on opposite sides of conflict before bringing them together as unlikely allies. Working in tandem to deal with a common enemy solidified their friendship and forged an unlikely duo. Rarely working without the other, Karu is the technical mind and the level head to both enable and salvage Tyh's more ambitious undertakings. Over time he has become Tyh's closest friend and confident. ●Ano Sadrith: A reclusive Ishgardian that carries with her more alcohol than sense, Tyh met Ano through a chance encounter in Limsa. Though quiet, Ano was a natural foil to Tyh, playing the 'straight man' to her more audacious persona. Despite a striking dichotomy in character, working together has fostered a strong respect between the pair, and there is no one else that Tyh would trust more to have at her side for when combat is inevitable. ●Izarra Rose: Though only having recently come into her life, Tyh has been warming quickly to the woman. Having never left her homeland of Coerthas, Tyh has been acting not only as the woman's employer and captain, but also her guide to the outside world.

♦ Enemies and antagonists ●Barbarccia Valadis: A perennial thorn in each others side, Tyh and the enigmatic noble have a history of butting heads; one moment begrudgingly working together and the next finding themselves taking different sides of a conflict. With an uncanny knack for crossing paths the two have engaged in their share of power struggles, from the more quiet and unseen to bombastic and charged, the balance of power constantly tipping in favor of one or the other, and leaving neither capable of holding the upper hand for long. While there exists an honest and open respect for the others capabilities, you would find them hard pressed to muster kind words for the other.
