Character
General
Sechen was born in a cradle of brutality. A Xaela of the Dotharl clan, Sechen fears neither death, nor pain. As she is on her journey to become a Dark Knight, she is exposed to both, constantly. She finds that she has quite an affinity for the Dark Knight. There is quite a bit of darkness in the young Xaela female. Sechen’s name means “girl raised by tigers”. It also means “wise”. She manages to be both. A wicked temper, cooled by what seems like a vast, inexhaustible sea of patience. It takes quite a bit to arouse her temper—which is quite lucky for everyone. For the most part, Sechen does not speak, much. She watches. She learns. She understands. She stands in quiet observation, understanding the value of knowing your enemy. Or your friends. Because she is a bit aloof, she does not have many of the latter. She does not trust easily and her affections are not easily—or conventionally—won. Once they are, however, Sechen would not hesitate to lay down her life for the ones that bear her affection if needed. Luckily, her skill and command in battle have never made this necessary. Her loyalty is fierce and protective. Sechen is trying to adjust to life in Ul’dah, still quite bitter about the necessity of her being there. She wanted to stay—to fight—but realizing that she would stand a better chance if she were to continue her training, grow in strength and, perhaps, allies, she fled. She was not alone—many Xaela left with the same goal. She hopes to find them, to one day band together and return to their home lands. To reclaim them.
Appearance
Sechen is short, even for a female Au Ra, standing about a head below the majority of her counterparts. She has a very athletic build, not overly muscular, but one would not consider her soft. Her hair is short, pitch black with snowy white tips. She has a number of insignificant scars, as well as a significant few running across her collarbone [left side], her back [very long, running diagonally from her shoulder to her hip], and her upper right thigh [a very large bite]. Her eyes are white, bearing a pitch black umbral ring.
- Armour: Sechen wears as little armour as possible, preferring ease and freedom of movement over what she considers unnecessary protection. Unencumbered by heavy plate and leather, she is able to move very quickly.
- Adornments: Sechen doesn't wear much by way of adornments. The most you will find her wearing are the intricate bands adorning her horns.
Personality
Sechen seems quite standoffish and anti-social. She actually is, for the most part. It takes her quite a while to warm up to someone enough to feel comfortable enough to speak more than one or two word sentences. She is aloof and tends to stand in quiet observation rather than engage in idle conversation. Because of this, she tends to be quite good at reading people and situations. Something that comes in handy on the battlefield. If you manage to win Sechen’s trust, she will be quite open and sharing with you—along with being very protective and loyal.
Combat
- Martial: Sechen started off as a gladiator, drawn to the forefront of battle. After completing her training, however, she took up the mantle of Paladin at the suggestion of her mentor. Certaint events unfortunately left a bad taste in her mouth, so she is now on a different path. The path nurturing the darkness within her. Dark Knight.
- Crafting: Sechen has no real talent for crafting. She did once try her hand at gardening, but everything died rather quickly. Since that point, she's decided it best to stick to what she knows. Fighting.
