General Information

They were an odd one, this Roegadyn from the desert wastes. Loetrymm filtered into Gridania one day, having travelled far for work. Most of the population was suspicious. Why was a Sea Wolf in their city? But a few members of the Botanists’ Guild took Rymm under their wing and taught them the fine art of tree grafting and checking the health of trees. They became moderately proficient at it, enough that Fufucha, the Guildmaster, kept them on as a regular worker.

And so Loetrymm was sent out into the small orchards that were kept outside of Gridania proper, making sure that the harvests were coming in nicely, trimming parts of trees that others were too short to reach, and picking fruits from the same height.

After a Diremite attack at one of the more distant orchards cost her the use of her right eye, Rymm slipped into the Archer’s Guild and begged to be taught. As there were no Roegadyn-sized shortbows, they were given a longbow, which worked well enough. Working around their newfound disability was difficult, but eventually Loetrymm became as good at archery as she was at botany.

Nowadays, Rymm travels around Eorzea in search of compatible fruit-bearing trees to bring back to the Guildmaster Fufucha, that Gridania might benefit from the diversity.
