Pallid as a waxing moonbeam but just as sprightly as the dust mites passing through it, Mitsuki is a boy of... deceptive muliebrity. His countenance is defined by ivory scales encapsulating much of his jawline, trapping his soft features much as a stark gem set snugly within a ring; his lips are full and frequently glossed, matching a rounded jaw line and set just above a more pointed chin. The youth’s eyes are wide and contrast the more hushed paleness of his complexion with lustrous blue-grey irises whose hues are cut short by equally incandescent cerulean limbal rings. His long lashes are typically layered with a dark liner, complimented by a subtle shadow of similar black tinge on the outer curvature of his eyelids. Above all of these meticulously treated qualities are alabaster tresses layered relatively short to capitalize on aesthetic while not overly sacrificing function in the field.
Though hardened by a (short) lifetime of training and a (short) career of adventuring, this Raen has never succeeded in breaking away from his svelte figure- even when consciously attempting to do so. His musculature is well defined when viewed in nudity, if not obviously stretched taut over his already slender frame. While unashamed of himself in his bareness, Mitsuki finds his own naked body to be a bit unsightly given the various scars that are scattered unevenly over his form-- where many in his clan would view each as a trophy of victory over an adversary and the injuries they afflicted, Mitsuki instead sees them as blemishes to be covered and concealed ‘till there is no other choice. In fact, when given ample time, this vivacious fellow will go out of his way to cover as many of the scars as he can reach with concealing makeups.

Even before his exile, describing Mitsuki as a pariah within his clan would be an understatement of the greatest magnitude; despite years of training in the arts of war and his clan’s natural abilities, he remains at his essence, the avatar of vivacity. Though he values order above all things in this world, the dishonored heirling places beauty as a close second. He strives meticulously to obtain perfection in his aesthetic, embracing every aspect of his diminutive form and the femininity it offers, but has not abandoned his identity as a ‘male’ along the way. He admires women and the beauty they can obtain seemingly so effortlessly, yet is without envy for them; rather, Mitsuki believes that the way of the aesthetician is not limited exclusively to women or overly flamboyant men(which he often finds… overbearing, at the very least), and can be achieved by any as long as they play to their natural strengths rather than vehemently denying their reality. In this way, Mitsuki is quite critical of individuals who strive desperately to be something that they are not at the quintessential level. Where many others would think to find an ally in him, they instead find a sharp voice saturated with biting commentary.
This svelte patrician’s dedication to his personal appearance goes hand-in-hand with, or perhaps even stems from, a deeply ingrained desire for order and protocol. Beyond the strict adherence to a social hierarchy found within many Raen and their families, the Nakizuna clan secured themselves a position of minor nobility in the service of a long-since forgotten warlord, bringing them quickly to pay severe respect to societal structure and its associated nuances. Mitsuki is no different from his kinsmen in this regard, believing that there is a strict and proper “way” that everything must be done- ranging from the order in which one eats their morning meal assortment to which makeup hues may be paired with fragrances… and of course, to how one addresses their lessers and greaters. Indeed, Mitsuki subscribes to a perverted sense of ‘noblesse oblige’, one spanning down from the lowest dredges of society to any that would consider themselves king-above-kings. While normally amicable to those not openly hostile with him, Mitsuki is quick to snap into a cold severity with any who behave in a way that he feels is unbecoming of their station; he does not hesitate to degrade and humiliate until the target of his ire begins to behave in at least some pantomime of what he believes they should be.
His adoration for structure and proper conduct, while an integral part of his character spawned from his upbringing, is often worn as a shield against others peering deeper into the deeper elements of his psyche. Having been pressured and ostracized by his family and peers for so long, even before his exile, the youth possesses a painful sensitivity to the criticisms of those around him. Any insult placed upon him is taken deeply and severely, often leaving him ruminating over the exact nature and meaning of the sharp words for many days thereafter. Given how easy it is for words coming from someone(who has any amount of Mitsuki’s respect) to tear open wounds within his heart, Mitsuki has found it difficult to truly unburden his emotions around another, instead falling back on the hardened schema of social contracts when confronted with a troublesome situation.
