#REDIRECT Liliana Ashe

A Gladiator with an odd lack of past, and all too good of timing in her appearance so shortly after the Calamity struck Eorzea. Still, despite the suspicious lack of memories, she tries her best to be a representative of all that is good in the world--a feat not so easily fulfilled, given the situation.

General
A woman with an interestingly clouded past, Liliana washed ashore the beaches of Aleport in the settling wake of the Calamity five years hence. With no recollection of her life previous to her discovery, and naught else hinting to her lineage aside from an odd signet ring adorning her right hand, Liliana's journey is one of recollection and hope. Aided by fellow adventurers Kairo Fujima  and Thiji Higuri -- the only two who seemed to recognize her from her mysteriously forgotten past -- she strives on in hopes that she will one day remember everything.

Appearance
As if to add to her confidence issues, Liliana is taller than most Midlander women, and is as tall as a good majority of Midlander men! Adding to her height, Liliana possesses an impressively toned physique, which only serve to highlight the ample curves of her body--with such characteristics, it's no wonder that she feels like an amazon! However, the warrioress is incredibly feminine or at least strives to be in the areas of her hair and face, making sure that her lightly tanned skin in smooth and radiant, even while most of it is covered by heavy padding or armored plates, or laden robes and boots. Though her hair is an odd, almost unnaturally grey in color, by definition the color of her hair is 'wheat', a go-between of blonde and brunette, and is perfectly straightened and is trained to frame a decent amount of her face, erring towards the right side. Larger portions of what would be considered her bangs as well are pulled back across the curvature of her skull, ending in a twisted braid that merely ornaments the rest of her straightened, shoulder-length locks.

When one spots Liliana, it is almost always in some sort of armored plating or heavy robes, both of which seem meticulously cared for and detailed with scrutiny. The only time Liliana sheds these clothes is when she is frequenting a tavern in any of the major city-states, where she sloughs the mantle of duty and dresses only in her adventuring clothes, the barest she would allow herself to get in front of people before her inferiority complex hits her like a runaway Goobbue.

Behavior
+
The Woman Known as Lily
 +
Liliana Nazareth, or Lily for short, is an Auri healer with a penchant for being a nosy worrywart, and a passion for salving the wounds of the injured. A prodigious mage, Lily's initial talents were healing in the form of conjury--however, with the Calamity taking away her Hearing ability and deafening her to the will of the Elementals, she took her talents to that of arcanima, spreading her proverbial wings and expanding her already quite broad educational horizons to boot.

Liliana has many facets to her personality, but as such, she almost always remains at her utmost best of behavior, treating everything that deserves it with respect and dignity. Sadly, however, this is very much overshadowed by a sense of distance between her and others, finding it troubling at the lack of relating she can do towards other's problems, yet Liliana always attempts to remain compassionate regardless.
+
While normally not a fighter, she is energetic and sprightly--she has to be, in order to keep up with her fiancee, Garen Ashe, and their adventuring guild/Free Company, the Fireborn. As such, she's taken on bits and pieces of certain martial arts styles, if only to keep herself fit enough to keep up with everyone, especially those more gung-ho than others. While not a fan of watching people push past their limits, Lily's hypocrisy shines bright as she does the exact opposite of what she implores to others--pushing herself until there is nothing left to push. To say that Lily is a walking contradiction of her own beliefs with others is not very far off the mark, but at least it is not in such an obnoxious way that it puts others off immediately--unless they catch her in the heat of the moment, that is.

Around her friends she is more comical, open and at ease; offering a smile to relax others or a quick, silver-tongued quip to throw someone else off guard. And while she doesn't mean it half the time, and even more so doesn't realize that she's doing it, there are a few occasions where she may mention something that is rather off the cuff and out of her comfort zone--yet soon after the words slip her mouth, she attempts to retract them in the hopes of saving face somehow.
+
Personality
 +
Lily is often polite and often courteous; even around her enemies she manages to remain cordial (even though she ends up biting down on her tongue quite often). She speaks warmly to most and friendly to all, and those close enough to call her friend or more are often the subject of her constant worrying over them, earning her the nickname of 'Mother Hen'. Indeed, her friends and loved ones give her eyebrows plenty of creases, but she does it out of love for them.

In battle, however, is a different story. She is either silent to the point of being mistaken for a mute, or her loud mouth and boisterous taunts unsettle many around her. When in combat alongside her friends, however, she is quick to use her voice as a distraction towards enemies, drawing them away from the other participants so that they may perform their duties as she performs hers, usually as the role of the 'tank'. There are times when her emotional levels become unstable, however, and while the catalyst is usually outside of battle, it causes Liliana to throw herself at danger head-on, without stopping to think for the well-being of those around her.
+
The one time her personality does a switch is in battle. As a Lieutenant in the Maelstrom, she must be firm, commanding, and yet she is still not without compassion. She worries for her subordinates and would rather lose a battle to save more lives than win a battle and save none. To this end, she is known as one of the Maelstrom's finest strategists, rivaling her friend Thiji Higuri, who presides with the Immortal Flames.

General
General
 +
In battle, Liliana is very tactical and is capable of thinking up quick-fix strategies in the moment. While not so much a frontline fighter, Lily's voice can still get projected over a field of battle, offering quick stratagems and warnings to her fellow teammates.

Liliana's various fighting styles all share one trait: to her, a battle is a dance, and she leads her partner with her weapon. No matter if she's taking point as the main cover, or if she's behind the front lines as a healer, Liliana never strays from danger and meets challenges head-on with both grace and fury. Still, there are subtle differences to how she behaves during combative situations, depending upon her class of choice at the time a battle starts, as well as the factor of her either being alone or accompanied by others.
+
Scholar
+
The deadliest weapon in Lily's arsenal is her vast library. Each tome has taught her not only how to spin and weave aetheric healing spells more effectively, but also how to craft more debilitating diseases and venoms to cripple her foes. Currently, she is carrying around a most peculiar, weathered tome, wherein she states that its contents are currently encrypted.
Gladiator
A sword and shield are Liliana's truest of friends and where she feels most at home. With the handiwork of a Gladiator fueling her muscles and fighting spirit, Liliana charges into battle unafraid, trusting those she accompanies with her life and knowing they do the same with her. As a Gladiator, she is a shining pinnacle of endurance and perseverance, going so far as to directly throw herself in an enemy's path to distract them away from another party member, be they ailing or not.

As a Gladiator, Liliana shows surprising leadership skills, as if she were a general leading her troops into battle. Always at the forefront of every team, she is quick to give rallying speeches to her awaiting allies and is always the first to take point from either up close with her sword, or from a distance with a lob of her shield. During battles, she is like a storm herself, furiously slashing and dancing away from enemies with quick footwork, despite the heavy armor she is forced to don.

Conjurer
Even when foregoing her sword for a staff or wand, Liliana retains the leader-like qualities found as a Gladiator, though her compassionate personality shines like a star. Ever the diligent one, her eyes are always on the lookout for a wound to mend or an ailment to salve, uncaring if they are simply a passerby or one of her friends. Though forced to remain on the back lines of battle, Liliana always makes sure that her allies know she is there, offering a shield of Protect or a quick Cure spell when necessary.
+
Her more famous tomes include:
 +
::* Pupil's Leather Grimoire: Lily's first research tome, she carried this with her often. Though the book was entirely filled out already, she often scribbled cliffnotes where she could.
 +
::* Ars Notoria: One of her aesthetically favored tomes, Ars Notoria was written in old Ishgardian syntax and dialect, which made it somewhat difficult for her to read. Still, she managed at least a basic grasp of the concepts and kept it with her during her excavations of the Stone Vigil, matching her experiences to those within the pages.
 +
::* Garuda's Embrace/Embrace of the Vortex: It was often joked that Lily's laughter could rival that of the Lady of the Vortex's. She didn't quite believe it, but she always did find some sort of...pulling attraction to the female-portrayed Primals, Garuda and later on, Shiva.
 +
::* Allagan Grimoire of Healing: As an Allagan researcher, she was granted this book after her first successful excavation of the Binding Coil. She carries it with her when she is meeting with other, fellow researchers, as she feels it helps illustrate her points a bit better.
 +
::* Omnilex Atma, aka "The Journal": Lily's personal journal that her daughter, Ella had with her when she appeared in front of people and claimed she was from the future. At the time, Ella's version of the journal had been only compiled up to a certain point, but Lily has been making it a key point to write in it every day.

Still, healing with magic is not the only thing Liliana can do as a Conjurer. Taking her Weaving skills into mention, she uses her nimble fingers and handy needle to stitch up more grave wounds before administering heals, careful not to let anything scar if she can help it.
+
Black Mage
 +
Lily always found solace at the Ossuary in Ul'dah, even during her fledgling Conjurer days when she had to take basic thaumaturgy training. However, she began to become more enthralled with the dark arts and study of the Void after the Calamity had taken from her her Listening ability, so after she was grounded in Ul'dah after the invasion of the Praetorium she doubled her efforts in her training; however, she kept it secret from Garen and the others, so they wouldn't be worried about her. After all, she had been tainting her aether with the Black! If only Garen and Fireborn knew about her fascination with the Void, she'd have to do a lot more than just explain herself....

Marauder
+
Lancer/Dragoon
 +
Lily's main form of exercise, she attempts to mimic the agility of Ishgardian dragoons with her every day routine. So far, with a little aetheric manipulation, she's managed to fool even herself into thinking she's a bonafide, real Dragoon of yore! Well, at least her daughter seems to be convinced that both of her parents are high-flying dragon knights.

As a Marauder, Liliana is more emotional than precise with the swings of her axe, almost in a completely emotionally berserk state as she chops through enemies. It is not a class she prefers to mention that she is handy with, however her friend Thiji though it to be necessary later on down the line, and so she decides to take on his advice and train in the ways of battle that most of her salty sea wolf friends are capable in...though, she'd much rather be even a Conjurer, in comparison to wielding a two-handed hatchet.
+
Gladiator/Paladin
 +
Adopting Garen's previous fighting style from back in the days before the Calamity, Lily is the farthest thing from a proper Paladin or gladiator. Though she favors footwork over raw defensive capabilities, she isn't without them--her mantra, "Be the mountain", has earned her the nickname of "The Stonewall Empress". However, it's been moons since anyone has seen her take up the blade, so it must be a farfetched rumor that crafted her that idiom.

Likes
Likes
::* Fruit tarts. She has a surprising obsession with them, to the point where it is surprising at how she keeps the weight off!
+
::* The knowledge that her and others' research has advanced Eorzean technology, even by just a small margin.
::* Ul'dahn nights. Compared to the daytime in the desert, nightfall is always crisp and chilly, and the lighted backdrop of Hustings Strip reminds her of something out of a romance novel.
+
::* Reading. Obviously!
::* Fighting with honor. Those who fight with dirty tricks disgust her, as she believes in a fair fight.
+
::* Sweets--especially pastries!
::* Assisting others, even with the most menial of tasks. She especially tries to help Thiji and Kairo, as well as C'ulara, so that she may not feel like a burden to them.
+
::* Exploring and excavating ruins--whether for science or the thrill, none can say.
::* Friends. Even as an amnesiac, somewhere deep in her heart, Liliana feels as though she's always cherished the idea of friendship.
+
::* She is currently enthralled with her new astroscope. She loves reading the stars!
::* Shipyards. She loves the history behind ships of all kinds, and it absolutely fascinates her to see what sort of strides in marine technology people have made over the years.
+
::* Lily (secretly) loves fashion and likes to wear many different outfits. However, her favorite ones still consist of her Maelstrom uniform, and the clothes she uses to excavate ruins in (DRG), both for the aesthetic pleasantries and for utility.
::* Relaxing in the Quicksand. Or in general, relaxation. With her mind as pulled and fragmented as it is, it's always nice to enjoy a good cup of tea or ale while seated around a table with friends.

Dislikes
Dislikes
::* Cravens. Cowardice is one of the utmost disgusting traits.
+
::* Thalassophobia--she has a fear of being on the open ocean. She doesn't mind looking at it though, and wading in the shallow waters.
::* Being in hot areas for too long, at least only during the daytime. In areas like Thanalan and the Sagolii Desert, she finds the nighttime rather agreeable.
+
::* Garleans. Though, she understands the difference between patriotism and subjugation.
::* Being stuck for too long in the rain, while she's dressed in armor. It's more tolerable when she's dressed in her mere adventurer's clothes.
+
::* Anything involving the consumption of dodo meat in any form.
::* The dreams and nightmares that plague her every sleeping moment. It's why she looks so disconcerted and disheveled in the mornings.
+
::* Being in Mor Dhona--born of guilt from being unable to help the Sons of Saint Coinach during and after the Calamity, of whom she was a ward of for years.
::* Being teased for whatever reason, about certain traits of hers. While it's only playful teasing from her friends, the situations she gets put in does make her rather uncomfortable after a while.
+
::* The knowledge that the Maelstrom uses her absymal cooking as a form of torture--yet she continues to help out in that way, regardless!

Hobbies/Talents
Hobbies/Talents
::* Seamstress: Liliana is a talented seamstress, even using her needlework as a form of first aid for others.
+
::* Lily is handy with a saw, needle, and paring knife. She often mends Fireborn's clothing and makes Ella simple toys!
::* Swordmaster: Liliana, despite her forgotten past, is no stranger to the sword--even as a weaker Gladiator than most, her feats of strength are rather surprising.
+
::* According to friends, Lily is quite the motivational speaker. If anyone is in need of a motivational pick-me-up, Lily is the go-to gal!
::* Studious: Liliana loves to read, and is fascinated more about Eorzean history more than anything. She has been known to study every word about the Calamity--in hopes that it would shed some light on her past.
+
::* She is a master of illusion and misdirection, much like her mother was. Lily is able to craft glamour charms and weak Fantasia potions that are at least good for a temporary disguise.
::* Medic: While not as strong with the staff as she is with the sword, Liliana knows enough about white magic that she can at least assist her friends in battle, to an extent.
+

::* "Hidden Talent": This is a talent/ability that will be revealed later on.
+
Favorites
 +
::* In no particular order, Lily's favorite colors are Dalamud Red, Nophica Green, and Metallic Blue. She tries to incorporate these colors into her wardrobe as often as possible.
 +
::* If you leave Lily Apple Tarts, Crumpets, or Roasted Nopales, you're automatically her new best friend.
 +
::* Involving Lily in excavations of The Binding, Second, and Final Coils of Bahamut, Pharos Sirius, or Wanderer's Palace activate a truly "nerdy" side to her nature. One must be prepared to listen to her ramble for hours on end, or be extremely talented in tuning others out.

Other
Other
::* Liliana has an odd fixation on hair and eye colors that are out of the norm. It doesn't mean that she's necessarily attracted to the person themselves; Liliana would just simply stare and study to the point of being uncomfortable for the other person.
+
::* Liliana suffers from PTSD, and not all of it has been branched from the Battle of Carteneau. Her key defense mechanism is emotional shutdown, but it doesn't always work.
::* She is almost constantly pining over, being angry at, or being generally concerned for Kairo's welfare. This stems from the fact that he was the first person to recognize her, and has told her all of what he knows about her past, at least where he was concerned. She doesn't know nor understand why she has some form of deep-seated feelings for him, and she doesn't try to make sense of it. Rather, she just goes along with it, and hopes that all will be meted out in due time.
+
::* As a Warrior of Light and having been there at the raid on the Praetorium, Liliana has the Echo. However, she, like most others, can't control it; she doesn't get odd flashes of memories or anything from it either. It merely saves her from Primal tempering, and also helps her to understand foreign languages like Doman (since those with the Echo are masters of linguistics, as per the 1.0 storyline).
::* Her amnesia extends a lot farther than merely her life directly previous to being discovered in Eorzea. In fact, she's forgotten her life altogether, predating even her life in the 'mysterious world'.

::* While she wears a lot of it, pink is actually not Liliana's favorite color. It is simply something about the color itself that calms her. In fact, her favorite color is silver.

Family
Family
Liliana is unsure of her family tree, due to the lack of knowledge of her past. However, she has come to know Brendt as family, a fatherly figure of sorts if ever there was one. He's been friendly enough to her, of course, especially with helping her journey to Ul'dah so that she may further train herself as a Gladiator, and she has vowed to somehow, some way, make it up to him.

Friends
Friends
As Liliana has journeyed through Eorzea, she has had little time to make friends. As such, those that she does consider her friends are quite close to her heart.
+
Thiji Higuri

Zeraia Reynard: Zeraia, the shrewd bookkeeper and impressive Arcanist, is Liliana's newest friend. While Zeraia's erstwhile hobbies of seducing young women and men alike usually puts Liliana in a state of flustered embarrassment, the woman is almost motherly to her, and Liliana has agreed to visit Zeraia's book store whenever she has time.

C'ulara Yanto: A Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te, whom Liliana has made her personal mission to help the woman break down her tribe's "harem hierarchy", as respectful of it as she may be regardless. Just...never let Liliana voice her opinion about the situation while she is inebriated, as bad things and tall-order promises seem to be made while the Gladiator is under the influence.

Thiji Higuri: A Dunesfolk Lalafell, and the second of two adventurers that recognize Liliana from what she dubs the 'Mystery of the Forgotten World'. She only ever has personal Linkshell conversations with him lately, as both are too involved with their own personal journeys to ever be able to meet up for more than 30 minutes at a time.

Kairo Fujima: The first of the adventurers that recognized Liliana, he has been the most helpful in regards to trying to get her memory back. Because of helpfulness (but also--while she wouldn't admit it--partially due to his good looks), she has felt herself falling for him...however, she feels that such a childish crush actually goes deeper than simply that.

Enemies
Enemies
C'mahiin Tia: A bardic Miqo'te who has captured her friend C'ulara's heart, and yet wants to stick to traditions of his clan. Liliana personally sees this as a fool's errand and, try as she might to be respectful towards tribal traditions, she cannot back down with matters of the heart. This has put her at odds with C'mahiin, and both are stubborn people, refusing to back down and almost seeming to refuse to see the other's side of the conflict.

The Beginning
+
::* Lily's last memory between Carteneau and Realm Reborn

Five years hence, after the Calamity had ravaged the land of Eorzea, Liliana washed ashore the isles of Limsa Lominsa's domain, just outside of Aleport. Somehow able to move by sheer force of will, she stumbled into the sailor's settlement with torn raiments resembling a Paladin's regalia, though missing her weaponry. Muttering something akin to the lines of "it's all gone..." she succumbed to her injuries and collapsed unconscious upon the docks. Unknown whether she was to live or die, the various citizens of Aleport helped nurse the ailing woman back to health with supplies bought or bartered from the traveling merchant known as Brendt. As payment, he told the people who lived on the settlement that he would make the woman work off what they owed, considering all of his supplies went towards stabilizing her condition.

Once she awoke, relief was quickly replaced by concern, as the woman could barely recount who she was, let alone anything else. Her torn raiments having been shred from her as she lay in her fevered sleep, she was now wearing simple seafarer garments, all but adding to her confusion. In her doddering absent-mindedness about anything nigh her own gender, she was given the temporary name "Stormrider" until she learned about herself during her time with Brendt.

She'd quickly taken a shine to Brendt and vice-versa, having taken a fatherly shine to the man and he, an evasively concerned approach to her. Still, he was thankful to have her about--she was stronger than she looked, and also handy in protecting his wares from the common tavern thug, as it appeared she knew her way around a sword. This simple way of life continued on for five years--Liliana, who'd finally learned her name but little else, helping Brendt out with his wares and he ever thankful for her dutiful handiwork.

During their travels, they saw all of what Eorzea had to offer beyond the bountiful seas of Limsa Lominsa--Liliana would bear witness to the haggard, harsh deserts surrounding Ul'dah, and the forests around Gridania of which many called their home. It was in the latter where she would meet with fellow adventurer Kairo Fujima, yet only briefly--still, in such a short time, he had greeted her as if she were a long lost friend or love, which served to only further confuse the amnesiac. After explaining her predicament, the man tried to explain as best he could the situation; on more than one occasion did he mention the term "Vana'diel", and would attempt to recount their adventurers together as best he could. Serving to only further aggravate and confuse poor Liliana, she would have to bid the man farewell and continue her journeys with Brendt. Still, she did not leave without at least a small parting gift--a personal linkshell, for which the two of them could speak through, and a small fluttering of her heartstrings.

After a rousing trip 'round the world, the two had returned to Limsa Lominsa--erstwhile, Brendt had noticed Liliana becoming more antsy, getting bitten by the wanderlust bug. With a smile, he presented to her two final parting gifts--a set of adventurer's clothes, and a final trip to Ul'dah, where he would then part ways with her, in hopes that she would further her swordplay, and becoming a woman of worthy mention in all tavern tales.

From Astral Sun to Umbral Moon
In her adventuring times 'round Ul'dah, Liliana did not learn much of her past save for being plagued by dreams and nightmares alike, all with faces and names long-forgotten and breath-taking events that spurned the woman from sleep. As such, she was unable to train as well as she'd have liked in the ways of the Gladiator, aimlessly wandering the Sagolii Desert's outskirts in search for the answers to her bottomless questions.

It wasn't until she had a chance encounter with a Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te named C'ulara, who was nursing a hangover in the Quicksand, that she truly decided to take her training seriously. Seeing the woman's fiery disposition on and off the field of battle engaged Liliana to better herself, and she began to copy the brash and boastful spunk when fighting, going so far as to lavish war cries and gaily laughter as she swung her sword and cut through foes. This rather brash streak did not last for long, however--as soon as she was plagued by more intense lengths of dreams, she all but gave up on fighting for a time, finding herself too exhausted to lift her sword.

In exchange for mercenary work, she found herself adept with a needle and thread; for a while, she would trade in the sword and shield for an embroidery circle and spinning wheel, finding the work of a Weaver much more calming and relaxing than the constant adrenalin rush that the battles of a Gladiator could bring.

The Woman Known as Lily

Liliana Nazareth, or Lily for short, is an Auri healer with a penchant for being a nosy worrywart, and a passion for salving the wounds of the injured. A prodigious mage, Lily's initial talents were healing in the form of conjury--however, with the Calamity taking away her Hearing ability and deafening her to the will of the Elementals, she took her talents to that of arcanima, spreading her proverbial wings and expanding her already quite broad educational horizons to boot.

Personality

Lily is often polite and often courteous; even around her enemies she manages to remain cordial (even though she ends up biting down on her tongue quite often). She speaks warmly to most and friendly to all, and those close enough to call her friend or more are often the subject of her constant worrying over them, earning her the nickname of 'Mother Hen'. Indeed, her friends and loved ones give her eyebrows plenty of creases, but she does it out of love for them.

Combat

General

In battle, Liliana is very tactical and is capable of thinking up quick-fix strategies in the moment. While not so much a frontline fighter, Lily's voice can still get projected over a field of battle, offering quick stratagems and warnings to her fellow teammates.

Scholar

The deadliest weapon in Lily's arsenal is her vast library. Each tome has taught her not only how to spin and weave aetheric healing spells more effectively, but also how to craft more debilitating diseases and venoms to cripple her foes. Currently, she is carrying around a most peculiar, weathered tome, wherein she states that its contents are currently encrypted.

Her more famous tomes include:

 • Pupil's Leather Grimoire: Lily's first research tome, she carried this with her often. Though the book was entirely filled out already, she often scribbled cliffnotes where she could.
 • Ars Notoria: One of her aesthetically favored tomes, Ars Notoria was written in old Ishgardian syntax and dialect, which made it somewhat difficult for her to read. Still, she managed at least a basic grasp of the concepts and kept it with her during her excavations of the Stone Vigil, matching her experiences to those within the pages.
 • Garuda's Embrace/Embrace of the Vortex: It was often joked that Lily's laughter could rival that of the Lady of the Vortex's. She didn't quite believe it, but she always did find some sort of...pulling attraction to the female-portrayed Primals, Garuda and later on, Shiva.
 • Allagan Grimoire of Healing: As an Allagan researcher, she was granted this book after her first successful excavation of the Binding Coil. She carries it with her when she is meeting with other, fellow researchers, as she feels it helps illustrate her points a bit better.
 • Omnilex Atma, aka "The Journal": Lily's personal journal that her daughter, Ella had with her when she appeared in front of people and claimed she was from the future. At the time, Ella's version of the journal had been only compiled up to a certain point, but Lily has been making it a key point to write in it every day.

Black Mage

Lancer/Dragoon

Lily's main form of exercise, she attempts to mimic the agility of Ishgardian dragoons with her every day routine. So far, with a little aetheric manipulation, she's managed to fool even herself into thinking she's a bonafide, real Dragoon of yore! Well, at least her daughter seems to be convinced that both of her parents are high-flying dragon knights.

Gladiator/Paladin

Adopting Garen's previous fighting style from back in the days before the Calamity, Lily is the farthest thing from a proper Paladin or gladiator. Though she favors footwork over raw defensive capabilities, she isn't without them--her mantra, "Be the mountain", has earned her the nickname of "The Stonewall Empress". However, it's been moons since anyone has seen her take up the blade, so it must be a farfetched rumor that crafted her that idiom.

Tendencies

Likes

 • The knowledge that her and others' research has advanced Eorzean technology, even by just a small margin.
 • Reading. Obviously!
 • Sweets--especially pastries!
 • Exploring and excavating ruins--whether for science or the thrill, none can say.
 • She is currently enthralled with her new astroscope. She loves reading the stars!
 • Lily (secretly) loves fashion and likes to wear many different outfits. However, her favorite ones still consist of her Maelstrom uniform, and the clothes she uses to excavate ruins in (DRG), both for the aesthetic pleasantries and for utility.

Dislikes

 • Thalassophobia--she has a fear of being on the open ocean. She doesn't mind looking at it though, and wading in the shallow waters.
 • Garleans. Though, she understands the difference between patriotism and subjugation.
 • Anything involving the consumption of dodo meat in any form.
 • Being in Mor Dhona--born of guilt from being unable to help the Sons of Saint Coinach during and after the Calamity, of whom she was a ward of for years.
 • The knowledge that the Maelstrom uses her absymal cooking as a form of torture--yet she continues to help out in that way, regardless!

Hobbies/Talents

 • Lily is handy with a saw, needle, and paring knife. She often mends Fireborn's clothing and makes Ella simple toys!
 • According to friends, Lily is quite the motivational speaker. If anyone is in need of a motivational pick-me-up, Lily is the go-to gal!
 • She is a master of illusion and misdirection, much like her mother was. Lily is able to craft glamour charms and weak Fantasia potions that are at least good for a temporary disguise.

Favorites

 • In no particular order, Lily's favorite colors are Dalamud Red, Nophica Green, and Metallic Blue. She tries to incorporate these colors into her wardrobe as often as possible.
 • If you leave Lily Apple Tarts, Crumpets, or Roasted Nopales, you're automatically her new best friend.
 • Involving Lily in excavations of The Binding, Second, and Final Coils of Bahamut, Pharos Sirius, or Wanderer's Palace activate a truly "nerdy" side to her nature. One must be prepared to listen to her ramble for hours on end, or be extremely talented in tuning others out.

Other

 • Liliana suffers from PTSD, and not all of it has been branched from the Battle of Carteneau. Her key defense mechanism is emotional shutdown, but it doesn't always work.
 • As a Warrior of Light and having been there at the raid on the Praetorium, Liliana has the Echo. However, she, like most others, can't control it; she doesn't get odd flashes of memories or anything from it either. It merely saves her from Primal tempering, and also helps her to understand foreign languages like Doman (since those with the Echo are masters of linguistics, as per the 1.0 storyline).
