Limsa Lominsa

On the southwestern coast of the island of Vylbrand, under the shadow of ancient cliffs worn by the relentless onslaught of the Rhotano Sea, lies the marine city-state of Limsa Lominsa. Home of sea lovers and pirates alike, the port city serves as the ultimate naval force on the continent.


Gridania

In the eastern reaches of the Aldenard landmass, home to vast, dense woodlands and coursing rivers, lies the forest nation of Gridania. Home of the ancient elementals, the citizens are ever wary of their wrath.


Ul'dah

The bustling commercial hub of Ul'dah sits amid the desolate desert landscape of southern Aldenard. Home of the wealthiest individuals on the continent, people often flock to the city for the chance of fame and fortune.


Ishgard

Located in the Central Coerthas Highlands, the Holy See of Ishgard sits atop the northern mountains of Aldenard. Separated from the Coerthas mainland by a deep chasm known as the Sea of Cloud, Ishgard is only accessible by crossing a bridge past the Gates of Judgement and through the Steps of Faith. The bastion city-state is home to the mighty Dragoons and is ruled by the fearsome Archbishop.


Garlemald

Once a remote and sparsely populated nation occupying little more than a fraction of the northlands, the Garlean Empire has established itself as a one of the most formidable forces of Hydaelyn, having conquered many of the other nations with its unmatched magitek artillery and fleet of warships which comprise its airforce. Powered primarily by the substance known as ceruleum, Garlemald has become one of the most technologically advanced powers in the world.


Ala Mhigo

Within in the eastern sector of Aldenard, in a region known as Gyr Abania, the once Hyur dominated city-state of Ala Mhigo now rests under Garlean occupation. Once home to the famous lancer legions and the monk order known as the Fist of Rhalgr, the city state is now a puppet state. Ala Mhigo is infamous for its bloody history and for its monks, masters of fist-fighting.


Sharlayan

Sharlayan can refer to two places: the first is an island city-state northwest of Aldenard, and the second is an abandoned colony of the same name in the region of Dravania. Sharlayan is known both for its vast stores of knowledge and for its policy of non-intervention, though some Sharlayans have left the city-state for Eorzea.


Doma

A small city-state in the once under Garlean occupation, Doma was razed by the Empire in the Seventh Astral Era in retribution for a rebellion. Many Doman refugees have found homes in Revenant's Toll thanks to careful negotiations with the Adventurers' Guild by Alphinaud Leveilleur and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Before its destruction, Doma was known for its unique culture and relatively high population of au ra of the Raen clan, as well as its shinobi, masters of an aether-weaving martial art.


The Crystarium

The last bastion of hope in The First, The Crystarium is located at the center of Norvrandt. built around the Crystal Tower one-hundred years ago. Many who lost their homes to The Flood have made The Crystarium their home, and work together in harmony to do all they can to stay alive in the unforgiving world of endless light.


Eulmore

Once an ally of The Crystarium, Eulmore is now a closed-off city of luxury and avarice. where only select citizens are permitted to live in. Under the rule of Lord Vauthry, the free citizens live a life of endless endulgance, while the bonded citizens serve the free citizens as indentured servants. The threat of Sin Eater attacks are nonexistant, as Lord Vauthry is blessed with the gift to calm and tame all Sin Eaters at his will.
