Appearance

At First Glance

Tal'a looks every bit a full-blooded Moon Keeper. His compact build is lithe and lean, and sinewy muscles attest to a life of constant physical demand. He stands a few ilms shorter than most males of his race, but seems completely unself-conscious of it in his posture. His skin is a rich, forest-hued dark brown, a contrast that well frames his striking pale golden eyes. Ashen fur lines his black-tipped ears and thickly covers an almost lavish tail, the same colour as the longish hair he keeps functionally tied back. He is almost never seen without his spear.

Like most Miqo'te, his tail and ears are often moving in accordance with his mood, though his motions tend to be subtle, tail typically hanging low and only twitching or curling at the tip, or ears changing their angle slightly. These changes are especially easy for those of other races to miss, though even those unfamiliar with the finer points of Miqo'te body language may easily be able to tell he tends to be very uncomfortable around people, usually quiet and constantly alert.

He can often be found with varying levels of dust, dirt, and sweat on his person, depending on timing, though he keeps himself relatively clean for an adventurer. It is rare for him not to carry some hint of the fragrance of the Twelveswood - tree bark, loam, and fallen leaves. He is also commonly followed by the scent of chocobo.

Voice

Tal'a typically speaks in a smooth, earnest tenor. Though his voice is clear, he tends to be soft-spoken and is frequently talked over by more boisterous types.

He has no especially foreign accent, and his enunciation and word choices would mark him as Gridanian to most. Only very occasionally can one hear the hint of an exotic deep, almost purred R that would indicate his origins lie elsewhere.
