[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION Aelorelle Vallancourt is the first daughter of Atticus Vallancourt and a Hyur mistress remembered only as "Joanelle". Her birth caused an upset within the Vallancourt household, and at the threat of revoking his endowments, Atticus sent Joanelle and Aelorelle away with the promise of reuniting with them both come her fifth nameday. Raised in the Black Shroud, the contempt for "half-breeds" was largely muted in comparison to that of Ishgard. There, she underwent grueling trials to become a marksman of the Archer's Guild. Come the end of the Dragonsong War and the revelation of the Holy See's corruption, Aelorelle was welcomed into the Vallancourt family by an aunt of generous manner. Despite this, past ridicule of her heritage dissuades her from frequent visits to Ishgard. APPEARANCE Stark white hair is doted upon by silvered gleams, long and falling unto the cusp between waist and hip in straight sheets. The tips of diminutive barbed ears peer free from beneath the locks, a distinction of her mixed heritage. Hers is a fair and unblemished tone, a creamy hue tinged in warmth in near reflection of her nature. Expressive and violet, her eyes are circled in long lashes of an inky black, prone to glints of wordless intent. Unabashed, her lofty cheekbones and carven jaw give credence to Elezen blood, smoothed with a modest dusting of blush to the apples of her cheeks. Bowed and ripe, her lips invite intent lending to the more sensuous, bare of darker paints and glossed in a colorless mixture. Hers is a figure full and rounded, bearing a taut stomach and trimmed waist. Remarked for the pronounced hourglass produced by the swell of broad hips and roundness of a bounteous bosom, her shapely constitution adds a quietly titilating note in her gait. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Her white hair is stark and reflective. ■ Bedecked with opal jewelry when dressed for a social affair. ■ Pouty, glossed lips. PERSONALITY Equable and generally unwound, Aelorelle is slow to anger and not as animated as the rest of the Dragon's Crown staff. Demonstrating such a mellow temperament was one of the deciding factors in the previous owner of the tavern to effectively deed it over to Aelorelle, who then relinquished her vagrant days and adventuring stint. Ordinarily she is described as the friend to end arguments and her judgement is prized by younger peers. L I K E S ■ Opal Gems. To Aelorelle, they are reminiscent of stars, and the most beautiful gemstone. ■ Stargazing. When she was younger, her mother used to tell her that she was meant to be a star, but fell to Eorzea and her crown became her white hair. When her mother passed, she told her to look to the stars whenever she felt overwhelmingly lonely. Even in the present day, she looks to the stars for comfort. D I S L I K E S ■ CLASSISTS. A staunch opponent of classism and its supporters, Aelorelle believes respect is warranted by character and not the basis of social standing. ■ THE FALSE ANGEL. Individuals who appear in the guise of a savior to hide more conniving intentions disgust her. This often comes in the form of "well-meaning" nobles and philanthropists with ulterior motives. H O B B I E S ■ The Harp. As a form of musical therapy, Aelorelle plays a harp in her room to cope with grief, heartache and generally unpleasant feelings. ■ Knife-Throwing. When carrying a bow and quiver might be impractical, she has an assortment of throwing knives strapped at her thighs. A board sits in her room, embedded with several. S T R E N G T H S ■ Even-Tempered. Aelorelle is slow to anger and capable of functioning under high stress. To even the most dire circumstances, she is level-headed to lower tensions within a group. ■ Archery. A common misconception is that Aelorelle's "endowments" pose hindrance in her marksmanship, and this is simply not the case as known to those who've fought with bow and arrow for the better part of their lives. When she is concentrated, her aim can sway victory to her side in a group conflict. W E A K N E S S E S ■ Physical Strength. Though she possesses enough muscle to nock an arrow, she is not strong enough to lift certain two-handed weapons and this cannot be considered one of her advantages in a fight. ■ Vindictive. If Aelorelle feels crossed to an irreparable degree, she will work to repay it in kind. ■ In the rare event she does lose her temper, expect Aelorelle to remember what drove her to that point. I thank the Twelve they interwove our fates." Though having met only months ago, Aelorelle and C'iana have proven to be inseparable. C'iana was the first to ever make a fond remark about Aelorelle's pointed ears, a moment that touched the Half-Elezen profoundly. ( ♥ ) - The Mercenary "I didn't expect to fall in love with you. Maybe that's why I fell so hard." When their eyes met, Aelorelle knew she stood no chance. His inspiriting personality and devotion to his friends bloomed lust into something fond and profound. They have since become inseparable, and Alrik takes pride in declaring Aelorelle as a mate to even his kin, no matter how the news could be received. In return, Aelorelle is outward of her affection towards Alrik, often seen grasping his hand or leaning into her much taller lover. Though she is remarked for a calming stare, she takes on a certain depth when fixed on Alrik, a measure of tenderness known between tested lovers. Qaragal Dotharl Unknown. (✖) - The Stranger "I know nothing of him, other than he's a Dotharl ashamed of Alrik." Aelorelle is wary of Qaragal and his intentions with Alrik given an overheard conversation between the two in her tavern. I am all for Discord, Skype and Google Doc RP for this reason. I love in-game RP, I just ask that enough time be set aside for it! Typically I'm diverse in my writing style, but I prefer 'para' and 'multi-para.' Personal RP Limits I'm really not too picky on what I will and won't allow. I'm not someone to demand victory in player vs. player conflicts. Whatever happens, will happen. I will not kill other characters and the same courtesy is appreciated. If Aelorelle is to die, it will be by my own intentions. ■ I will play conflict and losing in said conflict. Because Aelorelle is a Half-Elezen I'm expectant of people being antagonistic and I completely accept this. ■ I won't play explicit torture scenes. If torture is to take place, please fade to black or I will opt out. By my own preference, I do not want to RP a miscarriage. Under no circumstances will I RP rape. CHARACTER TIDBITS Potential Plot Hooks I enjoy the idea of pre-established relationships, whether our characters are/were friends, ex-lovers or bitter enemies. Some people have roleplayed as being former customers of the Dragon's Crown! ■ Though it's unbelievable now, Aelorelle was an excitable youth during her days in the Archers' Guild. It's not impossible for someone to recognize her, though the stark personality change is noticeable. ■ On occasion, Aelorelle visited Ishgard. Naturally, she gravitated towards the Brume. For her hair and violet eyes, someone from there might recognize Aelorelle for her articulate manner-of-speech as opposed to the more common, abrasive slang used among its denizens. ■ During her time as an adventurer, Aelorelle did a number of things for those in need in return for food, water or a place to stay. I'd be happy to say at one point, she did a favor for another character in the past.
