Her life thus far has proven to be one full of ups and downs. She's left the Shroud, travelled all over Eorzea, met all sorts of people, saved countless lives, and the dangers of using her own aether in her magic were made abundantly clear to her; many of the people she confided in were quick to scold her for her recklessness, and she was confronted with the fact that her life was one not worth losing. Nasri then abandoned her quest for the secrets of Amdapor (though her fascination for the rise and fall of the nation still remains), and she began to focus on that which she already knew to be reliable: traditional Keeper arts, and the knowledge of the Conjurer's guild. Undoubtedly, she will continue to face hardships, but this is only the beginning for the Keeper woman—Hydaelyn is still waiting to be explored, and Nasri is more than willing to chase down her future. | Her life thus far has proven to be one full of ups and downs. The recent loss of her clan and mother has seen her rise to new heights, and she is determined to show that, despite her exile, she is still the daughter of a matriarch—one who held the respect and love of all who followed her.
— Oscar Wilde
Standing small, even for a Miqo'te, Nasri can be considered, quite literally, a pretty little thing. Whilst she lacks defined muscles, there's a litheness to her that shines through in all her movements, and she'd almost come across as elegant if it weren't for her personality quirks. Her features are framed by stark white hair, and beneath her fringe, she peers out at the world with pale cornflower blue eyes, almost always content in her expression. Her skin is a subtle grey, with a pink undertone that comes through more clearly across her cheeks and the tip of her nose. Her tail is long and fluffy, the texture similar to that of her hair and ears: soft to the touch.
She takes great care in ensuring she looks presentable at all times, with a meticulous grooming routine that might, to some, seem over the top. Her lips are a soft pink, ever so slightly glossed to ensure they are hydrated and never chapped, and there's often a light dusting of eyeshadow to accentuate her gaze.
VOICE CLAIM : Rena Strober as Azura (Fire Emblem: Fates).
SCARRING : Given that she is far from a front line fighter, Nasri's collection of scars is minimal, but not nonexistent.
- Forehead Scar . . . Above her left eyebrow sits a scar that cuts diagonally down her forehead. Surprisingly deep and well defined, Nasri obtained it after she purified a tainted sword in the field, causing the blade to shatter. She was, unfortunately, caught in the consequential shrapnel.
- Crescent Scar . . . Etched into her right hand is a jagged crescent moon. Whatever blade was used was far from sharp, and it must have been painful to acquire. Nasri doesn't talk about it, at least not with those she does not trust.
JEWELLERY : Nasri often wears many different pieces of jewellery, though there are those that she treasures above all others.
- Crowplume Clasp . . . A dark purple clasp that signifies a member of Crowplume. Despite her exile upon leaving for Gridania, she wishes to honour her mother and the aunts and sisters who helped raise her, now more so than ever.
- Fang Necklace . . . Given to her at birth from her mother. The necklace is made from a length of leather, with five polished fangs separated by beads of silver. Though it looks fragile, the attention and love put into crafting it has ensured it has never once shown signs of needing replacing.
- Moon Earring . . . A traditional piece of jewellery in Crowplume, Nasri crafted this earring herself in the hopes she would earn the favour of Menphina, and carry the Mother with her wherever she goes. She also makes similar trinkets for friends and loved ones, each with a different meaning and blessing applied to them. To earn one is to know you've a solid place in her heart.
CLOTHING : Preferring clothing that flows, Nasri often dresses herself in long skirts and sashes, decorated with accents of gold or silver. Her outfit is dependant on location, and on company. She'll always make an effort for public outings where there will most likely be a lot of people (it's important to make a good impression). For work, however, she prefers simplicity—cotton and leather, with long gloves and boots so that she can move with ease, but still remain well protected.
Empathetic. Thoughtful. Compassionate. A wince, a sharp inhale, a smile, a hiss—Nasri's heart beats to the rhythm of others. She's quick to pick up on emotional cues, and is perceptive of the feelings of others. Your pain is her pain, your joy is her joy. She will cry with those she cares for, share their anger, and see the wounds etched into their hearts healed. She doesn't rush into these things, however. Feelings are complicated and require a delicate touch, and she takes her time in assessing situations so that she might approach them in the best possible way. She knows that a response will not always make something better, and so she'd rather make a connection, something that is meaningful and endures longer than fleeting, forgettable words like "at least it wasn't worse".
Resilient. Persevering. Endeavouring. Life and all its trials and tribulations have seen her bloom from a shy and skittish girl into a surprisingly headstrong woman, one who is capable of digging her heels in and fighting her corner if pressed to. She has faced hardship after hardship, and though she grieves, she has never fallen victim to her own misery for extended periods of time. Instead, after a particularly difficult series of events, she has reclaimed her life, determined to shape it into something she can be proud to share with others.
- HEALING : Nothing brings Nasri joy like seeing an injured person recover from their damages. Taxing as it may be, there's a sense of pride that comes with doing her job, and doing it well. To have a gift like hers and not use it? It would be a waste.
- QUIET PLACES : Nasri enjoys the simple things in life, and sometimes that means she prefers to be in her own company. In these times, she disappears to find herself a small, unoccupied corner of the world, so that she can relax and simply enjoy some peace and quiet.
- FULL MOONS : Bringing her closer to Menphina than any other night, Nasri adores basking in the light of a full moon—there is something about it that simply fills her with calm. Whilst her vision makes it difficult to gaze up at the heavens and know precisely what she's looking at, she claims she can feel the presence of her patron deity on those nights, so it is not impossible for her to determine the moon's phase.
- WATER : From birth, she has ever adored water. Watching the mystics weave it in her youth filled her with a sense of wonder, and she seeks to mimic these arts. She also likes the cool touch of it against her skin, and bathes in ponds and rivers in her free time.
- SEAFOOD : Nasri loves the taste of freshwater fish, especially those that grow fat in the rivers and streams of the Twelveswood. Her favoured way of preparation is to roast them on a stick over a fire, lightly seasoned with salt and rosemary.
- GARLEANS : Like most Eorzeans, Nasri is far from the biggest fan of Garleans. She distrusts them, even those of the Popularis, and their destruction of natural beauty in exchange for ugly steel towers and roads vexes her to no end.
- BAD ATTITUDES : What defines a bad attitude? Whether or not you are a polite person—it's not difficult to be kind to a stranger, or at least show some respect. She dislikes those who are unnecessarily rude, especially on first encounters, or demanding. She detests bullies, and cannot understand why someone would wish to insult, demean, or harm another if they've done nothing wrong. Be nice. The world is harsh and sharp. It could use some softness.
- DISREGARD FOR NATURE : Do not overhunt. Do not exploit natural resources. Do not destroy the world around you simply because you can. Nature is to be respected and appreciated; it sustains your life, it shelters you, it defines the way you live. To ignore it for one's own selfish gain is a certain way to find yourself in her bad books.
- STRONG ALCOHOL : Nasri dislikes strong bitter flavours, so drinks like whiskey and scotch are definitely not something she'd order for herself.
- HEALER : Nasri has a natural born affinity for magic; she can mend wounds efficiently. Not only that, but she is a capable medic—she always carries bandages, suturing kits, and an assortment of potions and poultices with her. Traditional Keeper remedies are often applied to wounds that magic alone cannot help with, and as 'cures' for illnesses and fatigue.
- ALTRUISTIC : She does what she does not for her own gain, but for the good of Eorzea. She wholeheartedly believes in a better world, and she will do everything she can to help see that future become a reality.
- LOYAL : To earn Nasri's trust is to have it wholly. She will throw herself into the firing line for you, push herself to exhaustion to keep you safe. Every friend she makes is a treasure that she must guard, lest she lose them.
- PATIENT : There is no doubting that Nasri is different from her fiery kin sisters. She prefers to take her time with things, both with work and with people. Meticulous planning ensures a higher chance of success, and so rather than rushing in to get the job done quickly, she'll consider her options in order to make sure it's done right, and with the kindest hand she can give.
- INTELLIGENT : There's no denying that Nasri is smart. It shows. She speaks with a certain wisdom that might make you think her several years older than she actually is, but it's simply due to her scholarly pursuits—stuffy old books are written in stuffy old styles.
- DETERMINED : Having broken through her shell, Nasri has proven to be a passionate idealist, one who will pursue her goals with resolve that may catch people by surprise given her soft-spoken nature. She will rock the boat if she must, give her honest opinion if she believes it to be right, tell someone "no" if they are wrong. These traits may appear as cockiness to some, but they are born of her newfound conviction, a part of herself that she has come to fully embrace.
- WEAK : This girl wasn't born a brawler. She has very little muscle, and as such she hasn't much in the form of brute strength. She also has an incredibly low pain tolerance, and so she will avoid close range combat as much as she possibly can, preferring to keep her distance to minimise the risk of injury.
- POOR EYESIGHT : Given her past—namely, the amount of her own aether she's poured into saving lives—Nasri has poor eyesight. Whether or not she continues her dangerous healing in desperate attempts to save people will be the deciding factor in just how intense her blindness may become.
- DAYDREAMER : Nasri often disappears into a daydream in her down time. Unexpected arrivals and events can cause her to leap from her skin, and the resulting fear can put her into a state of mild panic if it proves to be an intense shock. What does she daydream about? Well, she is something of a hopeless romantic...
- SENSITIVE : When someone challenges her values, Nasri can respond with a cold glare, a sharp tut, or, on rare occasions, scathing revulsion. Her values and her principles define her, and to criticise them is seen by her as a personal attack.
- PANIC PRONE : Upon being pushed to the limits of what she can endure—be it physically, emotionally, or mentally—Nasri panics. It can be as mild as shallow breathing and twitchy movements, or as intense as crying and trembling in the face of danger. The best way to comfort her in these times is to ensure she feels safe and secure.
- PRIVATE : Nasri doesn't like to share details of her personal life. Even with those she trusts, there is a certain caution about her that prevents her from giving too much about herself. Because of this, she tends to stuff her feelings down, where they can fester and grow worse over time.
- ALCOHOL : She's a lightweight. Two glasses of red wine is enough to get her just above the threshold of tipsy and into drunk.
- SUDDEN, LOUD NOISES : Given her weakened eyesight, her ears have picked up the slack. It's because of this that sudden, loud noises can cause her quite a fright, and sometimes she'll need to cover her ears until the pain passes. Shouting and thunder catch her more off guard than anything else, with the latter often proving to be a painful, disorientating experience.
- ABANDONMENT : Nasri hasn't had many friends in her life, and after she received the news that her family had been slaughtered and scattered, she's grown incredibly fretful that she'll lose what few companions she does have. She is desperate for not only approval, but care, and may bother those close to her, to the point where she may come across as suffocating.
- FAILURE : Her job, her desire, is to save lives. To fail is to cause someone to pass back to the Lifestream, robbing friends and family of someone dear. Failing causes Nasri to enter a state of temporary burnout, something she is aware of but unable to overcome until the feelings naturally pass. It's because of this fear that she has given her own aether to aid those on death's door.
- SOMETHING SMELLS NICE : Nasri's nose is sensitive, as is the case for many Miqo'te, and thus she finds a variety of scents enjoyable. Examples include, but are not limited to, wet grass/earth, lavender, sage, roasting meat. To her, certain smells are associated with memories of people or places. On the flip side, you'll know when she can smell something she considers positively foul; her nose will wrinkle up, and she may even pinch it.
- INFJ-T : "Advocates [INFJs] have an inborn sense of idealism and morality, but what sets them apart is that they are ... capable of taking concrete steps to realize their goals and make a lasting positive impact. They tend to see helping others as their purpose in life ... their real passion is to get to the heart of the issue so that people need not be rescued at all." (source)
- TROPES : Adorkable, Expressive Ears, Flower Motifs, Good Is Not Soft, Healing Hands, Heal It With Water, The Heart, Positive Friend Influence, Quizzical Tilt, Silk Hiding Steel, What Beautiful Eyes!.

Nasri is a ranged mage, utilising spells to immobilise and attack the enemy. As a conjurer, she is limited to the elements of earth, wind, and water, though she avoids using water in any kind of aggressive spell due to her beliefs, and keeps it solely to her healing spells.
Given that she is physically weak, Nasri prefers to keep distance during combat, and to have companions present so that they may keep the attention and ire of their foe. Her arsenal of spells is wicked, as she expertly moves the earth and controls the winds to do her bidding. You can expect blunt force trauma and piercing from earth-aspected spells, as well as slashing gales from wind-aspected spells, giving her a decent, fighting chance against that which is armoured and that which is not. She is also capable of gathering unaspected aether and utilising it in combat, in the form of Assize and a dart-like projectile akin to an arcanist's Ruin spell.
Her forte is healing. She is quick to cast curative magic, and reliably. This includes, but is not limited to, Cure spells, Medica spells, Regen, Divine Benison, aetherial dampening (akin to an Astrologian's Collective Unconscious), protective barrier spells, and Asylum. Casting any of these makes her vulnerable for a short time, as she is incapable of defending herself, so be sure to watch her back if you're on her side!
At close range, Nasri is easily bested, as she's unable to take a barrage of attacks in any capacity. It is easy to rush her and put her out of the fight quickly, however she is lithe and surprisingly fleet-footed, so she is able to regain distance given the chance. She also has no qualms with using her cane as a blunt weapon in desperate times!
In a nook of The Black Shroud, far from the prying eyes of outsiders, Nasri Betwanhe was born. The fourth daughter of Nahja, matriarch of Crowplume, Nasri was immediately noted to be unlike any of her sisters or aunts; she had a head of snow white hair. With every cycle put behind her, her differences only became more and more obvious; she would spend long periods of time watching the mystics at work, studying their work, and she struggled with wielding a spear or a bow, often fumbling during hunts. However, she was not born as mystic's daughter, and was told she would be a huntress. Her physical weakness was something she was deeply ashamed of and so, at the age of twelve winters, she fled the clan, knowing that doing so would result in her banishment. She justified it by telling herself she lessening the burden on the shoulders of all in Crowplume, as a mouth to feed that couldn't help contribute was a hindrance to the clan's survival. She might not have survived that night had it not been for her older sister, Masha, tailing her, ultimately saving Nasri from the ravenous jaws of a lone wolf looking for easy prey. Together, they made for Gridania.
As the two sisters entered the city-state of Gridania, they found themselves overwhelmed—it was huge, bigger than either of them could have anticipated. They stood at the gates, starstruck, until a group of Woodwailers walked past, muttering insults about "outsiders" and "wildlings" entering the city. Masha snapped at them, ready to draw her spear, but it was Nasri who held her sister's hand and begged her to please ignore them. The young sister's pleading often failed in future clashes between the city folk and the two Betwanhe runaways, but at least they could find safety under the roof of another Keeper woman called Mihno Duwahqi who welcomed those looking for new life in the city. It was she who guided the sisters to potential futures, directing Masha almost ironically to the Woodwailers as a prospective recruit—her skill with a spear was undeniable, and she could stand as inspiration for young girls in a similar position to herself—and Nasri to the Conjurer's guild due to her natural affinity and curiosity for magic.
Nasri, after her acceptance to the Conjurer's guild, proved to be a studious type. She focused during her lessons, and was unafraid to attempt new things. Gridanian magic fascinated her, though it was difficult to shake the teachings of the mystics back in Crowplume. Instead of outright abandoning the wisdom she was raised on, Nasri began to experiment and wove the magicks together, delving into a hybrid-style art that came easily and swiftly. It was shortly after this that she began to take a deep interest in Amdapor, and the powerful white magic locked away by time. In her naivety, she believed the elementals unfairly kept this blessing to themselves, and so she was desperate to prove that it was safe, that more lives would be saved than lost if the knowledge was returned to the people. She was reaching the end of her studies as the Calamity hit, and countless were injured—men, women, and children suffered under the wrath of Bahamut's fury. It was during this time that she dabbled in using her own aether in spellcasting to save lives, and her eyesight began to fail her as a consequence of this.

|
Nahja Betwanhe (♥ ✖)
|
---|
Nasri's mother, and once matriarch of the now lost Crowplume clan, Nahja was a stern but fair leader, who followed the traditions of those before her to the point where she was forced to exile her own daughter from returning to her birthplace. It was in a border skirmish over hunting grounds where Nahja would lose her life. Nasri believes her mother has joined Menphina in the heavens, as all great matriarchs do, and so she seeks to do all she can to give her mother a reason to smile down on her with pride.
|
Masha Betwanhe (♥)
|
---|
Having left Crowplume alongside Nasri, Masha set out to become a Woodwailer after the two found their way into Gridania. As the older sister, she would come to Nasri's aid swiftly and without hesitation, unafraid of exchanging blows if it became a physical confrontation. Remaining in the city even now, she stands at her post proudly, and dares any to call her or her sister 'savage'—she would be glad for the target practice.
|
Mihno Duwahqi (♥)
|
---|
An older Keeper woman who had long ago left her clan behind to live in the city-state of Gridania. She was a pillar to the Miqo'te community, and a mothering figure to the newcomers who needed guidance during their first, shaky steps. Without Mihno, neither Nasri or Masha would have lived with half the comfort they had. Nasri viewed her as a grandmother during her time with her, and makes regular visits to ensure the now-elderly woman is well.
|
Kira Moravvi (♦)
|
---|
Considering her something to aspire to, Nasri greatly respects Kira, both as a kin sister and as a capable arcanist. The woman has been a positive reassurance from day one, and the two were able to bond easily due to their scholarly pursuits in magic. If she finds herself in need of guidance, Nasri will, in most cases, seek out Kira for advice.
|
Kaseji Khitai (♥ ♥ ♦)
|
---|
Referred to only as Khitai, the Xaela made a sudden, and unexpected, impression on Nasri in a show of kindness, by wavering the fee for a medicinal plant at his place of work. He and Nasri share a love of the moon, and the two of them have enjoyed many talks beneath its cool light. Nasri's care blossomed into affection for the often stoic Xaela quickly, catching her by surprise and leaving her panicked. Upon her confession, Khitai confessed he was unable to return the feelings, something Nasri is nothing but respectful of. She still greatly cares for the man, and wishes for him to find peace and happiness in his life.
|
Sofifi Sofi (♦ ✔)
|
---|
Crystal's Call's generous benefactor, Nasri believes the Lalafell is a good woman who simply wants to help the people in the land she calls home. Whilst somewhat mysterious during the establishing of the company, the fact Sofifi keeps an open dialogue with those in her employment is well appreciated, especially considering the current goings on.
|
Y'rho Tia (♦ ✔)
|
---|
Another ally and friend under the banner of Crystal's Call, this Limsan Miqo'te's banter can leave Nasri uncertain of what is serious, and what is not. That being said, she knows him to be a capable healer, especially considering how he mended her after an incident where she found herself with a fragment of steel wedged into her forehead, and certainly considers him a friend, going so far as to ask him for his honest opinion of her.
|
Sterrthubyr Guldharen (♦ ✔)
|
---|
Crystal Call's oddbod "Void Hunter Extraordinaire", Sterrthubyr is seen as both an asset and an annoyance by Nasri. Her companions claim him to be an impressive and capable thaumaturge, but his attitude and the almost egotistical way he presents his deeds rubs her the wrong way. She would, however, like to get to know the Roegadyn a little better; she feels there's more (or perhaps less) to the man than he says.
|
Culkin Boyle (♥ ?)
|
---|
To say Nasri is confused about Culkin is an understatement. At one time, she put her heart and soul into him, desperate for both his affection and his safety but, with the passing of moons, she has found herself jaded over his treatment of her, and no longer does she pine for his attention. Whilst she publicly speaks of him with bitterness in her voice, she cannot help but still worry about him, though this doesn't not shake her opinion that he has much and more to make up for.
|
Shinji Isogai (♦ ?)
|
---|
Nasri is torn when it comes to Shinji. The Raen is unreadable to her, and she struggles to see beneath the mask he expertly wears, which vexes her. The two certainly had a rough start, but she openly admits to it being a fault of her own for judging him so quickly. Over a few chance encounters, she's come to care for the man and worries about his well being—though she still regards him with some wariness, she knows he's not "out to get her."
|
Roric Steele (♦ ✔)
|
---|
Given she's worked with the Highlander on a handful of occasions now, and was invited into Crystal's Call through his recommendation, Nasri considers Roric to be both a capable fighter, and a natural leader. Despite his often quick temper, she believes he genuinely wants the best for his companions, and she would gladly follow him should he ever call on her. His disappearance, however, has her concerned—it's unlike him (she believes) to simply up and leave, and so she worries something might have happened to him during one of his outings.
|
Quas'to Lihzeh (♠)
|
---|
As it stands, Nasri is no fan of the man. She feels as though his preexisting disdain for their kin paved the way to his poor treatment of her boundaries. As such, it is difficult for her to want to pursue a friendship with him, at least until he apologises in some form... but she doesn't see that happening any time soon, if ever.
|
Edward Rock (♥ ♦)
|
---|
What is there to say about Eddie? His near-constant flirting and joking around catches Nasri by surprise more often than she'd like to admit, and she'll usually grumble inaudibly at his antics. Despite this, she's far from subtle, and is horrible at hiding her reactions; she glances away shyly, knits her brows, and is wholly unable to stop the flushing of her cheeks.
