Solia 'Senpai Solid' Zenie is a Miqo'te raised Xaela Au Ra. Efficient in both Astrologian and Dragoon jobs, Senpai is usually seen raiding dungeons and claiming the heads of powerful beings as trophies. Often seen as cold hearted and narcissistic. Not many get close to Senpai but those who are friends with her swear by her skill and loyalty.

Appearance

Solia often changes her hair to fit her mood. She dark shades of colours such as purple, orange and even black. She almost always has highlights in her hair, usually white to constrast with the dark colours. She has once styled her hair white with red highlights which sparked a few rumours about her which she found amusing. She has dark blue-ish black horns petruding for the sides of her head and scales covering small portions of the arms, legs and face. Her eyes are grey with a purple limbal ring which really stands out from her "uncoloured" face. Solia has explained that she has never and will never wear makeup because "who needs to look good for monsters in caves and ruins?". Solia has been seen in many different styles of clothing but has stated that she dislikes robes and dresses for thier lack of mobility. She switched between defensive armor and light clothing depending on what role she's trying to fill. Solia also possesses a thin scaly tail that is smaller than most her Auri brethren. Solia has a X (cross) mark across her face. It is unknown whether this is a scar or a birthmark.

Personality

Solia is very cold and quiet to people she recently meets. She is rarely ever seen smiling or expressing joy in public but she lets loose a bit when she is with her closest friends. She hates standing around and doing nothing and begins to feel depressed if she feels she isn't "making any progress". Solia dismisses all sexual/romantic advances she's ever been subjected to, most commonly those of her extremely outgoing friend, Kairi. Solia has been known to ignore people she has no use for and considers whatever she's currently doing more important than whatever strangers want to talk to her about.

However, when Solia is in a dungeon or a raid, her attitude changes to more friendly, even among strangers. She is generally helpful when she's working with others and actually smiles when fighting tough enemies or successfully keeping teammates healthy in bad situations. The tougher it is, the more enjoyment Solia experiences.

Biography

Childhood

Shortly after birth, an Auri infant was abandoned and found by a young Miqo'te couple in the Sagolii Desert. At first, the couple mistook the Au Ra for a beast but soon noticed it's resemblance to an infant of the Hyur or Miqo'te races and ultimately decided to raise the child themselves. The couple, Akiba and Milia, named the child Solia. Solia grew up in a Miqo'te tribe known as "The Children of the Sand" and was mostly excepted by her peers, however the other kids would tease her sometimes for not being like them. Solia's family were regarded "strange" in the tribe as her parents did not follow in Miqo'te traditions but were mostly welcomed because of the valuable contributions they made as members. In late childhood, Solia's parents started to teach her archery skills so she would be able to hunt and defend herself, however, when she would see Dragoon adventurers pass by, she couldn't help but wish she was wielding a powerful lance.

Teenage

By her early teens, Solia was quite an accomplished archer. She was advanced for her age and the elders of the tribe agreed that she should train to become a bard and live as an adventurer so that she may bring riches back to the tribe. Milia was against sending her child to be an adventurer but Akiba, who was a former adventurer himself, wanted Solia to do as she wishes. They came to a compromise when one of the elders suggested that she recieve the proper training from Akiba and the other ex-adventurers.

Solia recieved adventurer training for 4 years. During this time, she would regularly sneak off at night and roam around Southern Thanalan with her best friend, S'zejoh Tia. One night, Solia and S'zejoh ventured a little too far and got ambushed by a small Amalj'aa hunting party who attacked without warning. S'zejoh managed to take one down before sacrificing himself so Solia could escape. Solia was blamed by the tribe for S'zejoh's death and despite Akiba and Milia's best efforts, she was exiled from the tribe. Akiba and Milia agreed to abandon the tribe, but did not go with Solia. They told Solia to make her way to Gridania in the Black Shroud to become a Bard. Solia's parents told her they'd meet again one day just before they parted ways.

Present

At age 18, Solia arrived in Gridania by carriage and joined the Conjurers' Guild to become a bard as her parents wished. Solia kept her scales and horns hidden as there weren't many Au Ra around she didn't want to attract unnecessary attention. Solia also started to go by the alias, "Solid". While improving her skills, she found out that she was the fabled Warrior of Light and embarked on a journey to save the realm. On her journey, she met a Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te in Ul'Dah named Kairi Orihime, who had just became an adventurer. Solid noticed she didn't follow the Miqo'te naming convention just like her parents didn't and befriended Kairi over that curiousity. Solia and Kairi then journeyed together through Eorzea. Solia mentored Kairi for a while, earning Solia the nickame "Senpai" but Kairi quickly caught up to Solia's level of skill. Since Kairi was a Gladiator, Solia forgot about being a Bard and became a White Mage instead so her a Kairi could make a great team. However, Solia never forgot about the dream of wielding the lance and practiced with it every now and again.

After the Seventh Astral Era began, Solia had already become an accomplished Dragoon which just felt natural to her and eventually stopped being a White Mage. She and Kairi had also met a Hyur by the name of Hakubus Vindisch. Haku invited Solia and Kairi to join his Free Company, The Crafter's Corner, to which they accepted. Within this Free Company, Solia became a Raider.

After being blamed for the "murder" of Nanamo, Solia left The Crafter's Corner promising to return when things are sorted out and fled to Ishgard to assist the Holy See in the Dragonsong War. After stumbling into the Astrologians' Guild by mistake, Solia became mesmorised by the stars and joined. She began to balance being a Dragoon and an Astrologian but mainly focusing on the stars. Solia met a new adventurer by the name of Kixlam Urumet, who aspires to become a healer. Kixlam was also the first Au Ra she had met. After meeting him, Solia was no longer afraid to hide her horns and scales. True to the name nickname "Senpai", she began to mentor him. She hopes that soon, her adventures will bring her back to her parents.
