| − | Born from the Kha Xaela tribe of Doma, Val Kha was a native to one of several Kha sub-tribal clans. Val's main task was venturing down to the valleys, where freshwater rivers were located, to hunt for food and gather water for her tribe. She became quite skilled at these tasks and learned many tricks from other Xaela tribes. Once the Garleans began razing Doma, the beautiful moutainous scenerey became stained with ash. Val was out doing her daily routines when the horizon transformed into hellfire. With only her bow and her skills, she evaded the hazardous debris in an effort to return home to her sub-tribe. Unfortunately, by the time she arrived, the village had been uprooted and far-gone without her. She never truly knew if they survived or not. But with high hopes, she ventured out of the Xaelean mountain range territory and into the more civilized harbors of the Raen civilizations. Being a Kha, she wasn't hostile towards her racial counterparts. However, most of the Raen still held their stereotypes to heart. She sought passage out of Doma to Eorzea, but no Raen traveler would permit her onto their boats. The last ship docked at the harbor was a small family sized vessel. In a desperate final effort, she sought the owner's attention. The owner was a Hyuran family who traveled to Doma for leisure in the summer time. After short conversation, the owner granted her passage onto their voyage back to Eorzea. Val was not a social butterfly, and with the loss of her family, she felt lost and empty. The Hyuran family noticed her signs of struggle amd slowly incorporated her into their family traditions. Val slowly warmed up to them and became very friendly. She knew she could call them family when the mother complimented Val's eye color. She compared them to the azure sky overhead where the horizon reveals the coasts of Eorzea. From then on, they called her Azure and she gladly took the name as her own. The family owned a small ranch styled home on the coast of La Noscea. Azure lived there for a short while before being relocated by the local officials because of her refugee status. The Hyuran family mysteriously disappeared to her knowledge and is now completely alone again...
