Basic Info

Noesis Phobos is a queer, mysterious fellow. A deathly calm composure and equally deathly pale skin may set some at dis-ease... yet he cares not. A traveler and an adventurer with a fondness for antiques, he's taken on treasure hunting. What he does with his bounty is a mystery, aside from the fact that he always seems well-dressed. Ultimately he does what he can to keep himself amused and may go to great extremes for doing so.

About

Noesis's face type is androgynous. Relatively youthful, aside from his sunken, tired looking eyes. His skin is peculiar in that it becomes various shades of gray where it should be blush: his dark lips are odd, yet natural. Two facial scars; one across the bridge of his nose and the other sliced vertically along the left corner of his mouth, come from a time long forgotten.
His body is svelte and soft, with only the slightest hint of muscle. There are no hard angles on his body, rather parts of him are nearly feminine --such as the subtle curvature of his hips and backside-- but they are by no means voluptuous.
Noesis speaks in a dulcet purr, velvety and calming. His voice fits his gentle appearance-- soothing, yet unsettling.
He could be described as catlike in the way he carries himself. Aloof, sometimes playful and demanding of attention on his own terms. His movements and mannerisms are akin to sleek prowling. He possesses the keen gaze of a hunter.
Noesis carries himself with poise and is graceful in his movements. Being generally well-mannered, he can at times be emotionless or even sadistic. He can be very difficult to read, which aids in his devious and mischievous ways. He cares little of what people think of him as far his behavior goes, but he is self-conscious about other things.
Woe betide those whom he feels closest to, for they witness the full brunt of his peculiarity.
One particularly odd physical trait is that Noesis's gums and tongue are not pink, but inky and blackish. He claims it is due to an aethereal "affliction". --This affliction, of which he divulges little else of-- also gives him the intense need to consume aether.
Deep down, Noesis desires touch. To be handled, whether it be roughly or gently. To be posed like a doll, to be tossed around like a toy. To be punished, to be pampered and rewarded. To be considered something special, precious, unique. He is deprived of many things and greatly welcomes someone who may indulge him of them. He is distrusting and may be obstinate at first, but if trust is won, he melts and becomes compliant... for the most part.

Background

Noesis keeps his past tightly under wraps, unless the situation calls for a reveal. Otherwise he speaks very little about himself.

♥ Unsettling Youth : Noesis happened upon this young person, "Boots", in the Quicksands. They share many things in common and hit it off well. He's taken the youth under his wing, in a way, and looks forward to having many adventures together.
♥ Julien Ashenhearth : Boots's father, and now, somewhat of a father figure to Noesis as well. Things may have started off a bit rocky thanks to Julien's profession, but now they hit it off well and have established an amount of trust in each other.
♥ Angellos Virius : It all started with a look. Despite Noesis's oddities, the bull-headed rapscallion accepts him for what he is, and Noesis couldn't be more thankful. Noe is protective over him and tries to get him out of trouble as often as possible. And now they're married!
● Arismont Valtin : An unusual but thoughtful Starlight gift from Angellos, this Sharlayan wildwood rescued from the hands of Garlemald is Noesis's official manservant. They've yet to truly get to know each other, but Noe does hope to treat him better than the Empire did.
● Kayle Levesse : The naive forest boy was dumped onto Noesis's responsibilities out of the blue one day. Though he's not too keen on being a babysitter, Noesis does see potential in him, and they get along well enough.
● Artoirel Monranguin : This unstable puppet master caught Noesis's interest and they almost immediately started a strange friendship based on their queer humor. They may joke about being twins, but maybe there's some truth to it. Metaphorically.
