Basic Info

Friendly gypsy Dadcat who loves to eat, paint and give unsolicited life advice. Optimistic and of a good nature, he tends to follow his own moral compass, with little regard to laws or social rules. If you give him food, hugs or a good story, he'll likely be your friend for life.

Appearance

Standing at around 5'7", Shar'a is on the taller side of average for his kind, although he is perhaps a little slim by comparison. He looks like he doesn't eat regularly enough, his muscles fairly lean under the warm clothes he usually wears. As a result, he's quite quick and light on his feet for his height, even if he's lacking in any sort of brute strength.

His hair is a light, tan brown color, with little mottled white markings running through it. It's fairly long, but he keeps it well groomed, his hair just barely long enough to reach his shoulders at the back. The rims and tips of his ears have a darker brown tint to them, and they tend to be quite expressive. The fur on his tail is a bit longer than standard, especially fluffy towards the tip. It's the same light brown as his hair, but the end becomes darker, much like his ears, and ends with a white tip.

His face is still youthful, his features fairly soft and his blue eyes bright. His skin is quite pale for a keeper, and he could be considered conventionally attractive, beyond his slightly slim and sickly frame. He tends to be quite expressive with both his face and hand gestures, and can usually be seen wearing thick clothes meant for colder weather.

Personality

Fairly good in nature, but perhaps a little too inquisitive and nosy, Shar'a is a bit of a sap when it comes to helping others. He's a real sucker for food, and will do just about anything if it means he gets a meal out of it. Being from a remote clan, he automatically places more value on food and items rather than gil. He has a good sense of humor, and can even get a little sassy if the situation calls for it, but overall he is pretty friendly and easy to get along with, as long as you happen to be another Miqo'te.

With other races, he tends not to be so friendly and trusting. He's not exactly racist, but does tend to try and avoid them unless it can't be helped. Especially Elezen. He's not incapable of warming up to others, but his first reaction to them tends to be one of dislike. However, a little bit of food could go a long way.

He has plenty of reasons to be sad, but he tries to keep his chin up. He spent several months moping and being depressed after his mate was murdered, but has since tried to avoid falling into those bad habits again. He gets a little lonely sometimes, and has a habit of following anyone around for a while if they'll hold a conversation with him. Morally he's a little grey. He tries to do the right thing by his own standards, whether or not that complies with the law or not is another matter.

Combat

While he tends to favor a bow, he's not exactly the best with it. Good enough for hunting beasts, but would likely lose quickly in a proper fight. He knows a little bit of conjury, just the basics that he was taught by his clan as a child, nothing too fancy. Really, his most valuable skill in combat is his ability to quickly flee any dangerous situation and hide. He's not much of a fighter.

On the other hand, he's not exactly a coward. He will definitely stand and fight if he needs to, just probably not very well. He knows a fair bit about herbs and home remedies and such, so if anything, he's probably more of a mediocre healer than a fighter.

History

Born into a very small clan within the north shroud, his family were all but forced onto the coerthas borders by the expanding territories of much larger clans. As a result, their hunting territory was quite cold and barren, but they managed to get by, nonetheless. Because of their remote location, it was a bit harder to find suitable breeding males, and as such, the females became a little less picky. Because of this, Shar'a was not the most healthy child, and still remains a little frail, even to this day.

Once he came of age, he left his clan as most young males do, looking to fulfill his duty, so to speak. He had a hard time doing so, as females were quite picky, and wanted a stronger mate than him. Eventually however, there was one female that accepted him. He wasn't sure if it was out of pity, or some flight of fancy, but the fact that she chose him meant a lot, and he was quickly infatuated with the girl. Because of this, he ended up staying by her side throughout the pregnancy, even though that was rather unusual. He was incredibly smitten, and her clan put up with him lingering for a little longer than he needed to.

Things took a turn for the worse after his daughter was born, however. His mate had many enemies, and it just so happened that one of them caught her off guard while alone. She was left brutally beaten to death, only to be found by Shar'a. Her clan was quick to turn the blame on him, and so he fled with his daughter. Lacking the skills to look after the child on his own, and worried that his dead mate's clan may still be looking for him, he took his daughter back home and left her to be raised by his mother. They agreed that it was the best thing for her, and now he only visits every now and again.

Currently he's still wandering, and he wasn't wrong about that clan looking for him. There have been several attempts on his life over the past cycle or so, but he has so far managed to escape being caught. Trying not to let the loss of his first love, or the distance of his daughter get him down, he tries to keep a fairly upbeat attitude.

Miscellaneous

Random Facts! Doesn't mind being called Shar, it reminds him of his mother. Likes to paint, and usually carries a messy little tray of them. He really hates bees, fuck bees. Has a daughter who is one cycle old. Actually prefers the day because it's nice and warm. Can nap anywhere, even in the most uncomfortable places. Could probably eat his own body weight and still be hungry. Is fairly decent at making medicine. Secretly a massive cuddle slut. Is more likely to get angry on someone else's behalf. ● Kazha'a Anhsari : Past traveling companion and the victim of most of Shar'a's friendship harrassment. Kaz became stuck with Shar'a after buying him food, and while on the road they were attacked by a Morbol. The attack left Kaz blinded and unable to see, and Shar'a blamed himself. (because it totally was his fault) He decided to try and help Kaz to Ul'dah in the hopes that they can find a medical professional to fix the damage. They eventually parted ways, but Shar'a is still quite fond of the angry keeper.

● Z'ohji Tia : A friendly but rather nervous and twitchy seeker who owns an airship. They met when Z'ohji had to make an emergency landing in the shroud, and Shar'a almost shot him by accident. He thinks the seeker is pretty cute, and finds him easy to get along with. On top of that, Z'ohji fed him, automatically making them friends.

♥★ Nhira Elakha : Shar'a's daughter, who is just over one cycle old. They don't have much of a relationship, because it's best for everyone if he only visits rarely. Currently she is being raised by his mother and sisters, while he is out wandering. He doesn't get to see her much, but thinks very fondly of her.

♥★ Shar Nhaki : Shar'a's mother, and ex-matriarch of his clan. His sister is the one in charge now, but his mother maintains a strong presence withing the clan structure. She's an old fashioned but kind hearted old lady, with many children of her own. Shar'a is definitely a mommies boy.

● Anything said or done while in character is just that, purely the character. I like to let RP pan out naturally and that can sometimes lead to all kinds of crazy situations. I'm very casual about these things OOCly, and would just like to note that nothing said or done by him reflects my personal feelings.

● Something I don't condone is tying up someone's character in RP, and then leaving them hanging. That's just not cool, man. The same goes for stealing RP away from others. I very much like to let my character do what he would do, but if it ends up stepping on any toes OOCly, I will back out. It's meant to be fun, after all!
