Carter Coltilde, a survivor of a recent, catastrophic event due to Beastmen.  Carter was originally living in a nice, calm, city in Eorzea when numerous beasts known as the Almalj'aa attacked the city.  Carter's mom and dad pushed Carter to escape while she could.  While escaping the hectic battle zone of a city, Carter ran into Alleyen Abel, the daughter of a wealthy king.  The two of them both escaped the city.
