Appearance

Ellie is known for her particularly youthful looks, her moderately regular appearance and previously, her choice in often terrible clothes, including the Scholar's uniform, an absurdly dyed Wizard set and a metallic blue Even star set, though she has taken a liking to the Flame Elite uniform gifted to her for pinup. Nowadays, she has been considerably more stylish, often wearing entire designer sets of gear for both the aesthetic and the efficiency. Her gear is even more varied thanks to her access to burnable gil (through adventuring) and her Soul Crystals.

Other than the Keeper's Artifact Gear, Ellie prefers her gear red. In addition, to honor the fallen Crimson Duelist that she had discovered in Gyr Abania, she had taken his shattered weapon, gear and Soul Crystal, and dyed her gloves and boots black, in honor of the lives lost by the Red Mages.

Her body is uncomfortably thin, her arms and legs showcasing a woman who should be underweight but her breasts showcasing a far different story. She weighs a mere 125 ponzes, a result of her absurd metabolism due to her immense aetherial density and capacity.

Personality

Ellie sometimes describes herself as a child in an adult's body. To many that know her, this is often confirmed but for different reasons. Ellie describes her self as kind, gentle and heroic, with a taste in pyromania. While those who criticise her can agree with the notion that she's a pyromaniac, she's also seen as childish, selfish, clingy, and whiny, with a massive dose of stupidity.

Ellie is aware of her flaws, and actively tries to improve, but feels that for every step forward, she makes a step backward.

For over a month, Ellie has been dealing with some rather mixed emotions, as she had been released from a curse triggered by the Echo but planted by a succubus on the Warrior she was imitating. During the curse she was overly perverted and nigh insatiable, leading to some situations she highly and deeply regrets.

Though she's still interested in sex, she's far more modest with her sexuality... Usually...

Abilities

• Red Magic: After training with an ally, and demonstrating it on her hateful foe, Glysoria, Ellie had begun her path into truly being a Red Mage. It is also, most notably, the only art she practices which isn't entirely guided by her Soul Crystal Attunation.
• The Echo: Ellie believed she had a mysterious mutation, in which her reality was a combination of past and present. As of turned out, it was normal... maybe.
• Soul Crystal Attunation: Perhaps most troubling about Ellie's Echo is its power to utilize the power of Soul Crystals, pulling directly from the various memories of the original users. This serves as a means for Ellie to focus her aetherial capabilities... though prolonged usage of a single crystal may have detrimental effects on her mind.
• Absurd Aether: Part of Ellie's trouble with magic, Ellie simply has far too much aether within her to properly use. Oddly, this results in Ellie having heightened durability, due to subconscious usages of defensive aether... though her lack of strength prevents her from using much in the physical art and disorients her too much to utilize much in dexterious weapons. Still, should Ellie find a focus for it...
• Black Magic: While not the absolute most competent with her abilities, she still tries her best to master them. As of late, however, she has been actively avoiding the art, due to overusage, though it is still her preferred art.

●Kensei Hokuto To Ellie, she is like a mother... and a master. Some have speculated that Ellie saw Kensei as a lover, though she denies the possibility, due to Kensei's current relationship. Still, Ellie trusts Kensei above all else.

●Siovah Dawnhammer A friend of Kensei's Ellie trusts Sio quite immensely due to said friendship. Most telling was how Sio, despite admitting her own impulses were rather difficult to avoid, refused to take advantage of the Keeper, even when she was drunk. Still, Ellie worries that she was rather awkward.

History/Timeline

Early Life

As far as Ellie's concerned, her life began seventeen years before the Calamity. Her life was normal and enjoyable, despite often being the only Keeper in her classes and her social groups. Her mother and her sister, Madison, were often distant throughout her childhood, though she knew that the love was genuine. Upon reaching the age of ten, Ellie began to admire Madison more and more as the woman performed her training for the Flames, and vowed to be as skilled a fighter as she!

...she failed.

The Gladiator's Guild and the Pugilist's Guild refused Ellie on account of her lack of strength and clumsiness, and thanks to a sudden surge of gil for the family, she found herself also being rejected by the Marauder's, Archer's and Lancer's Guilds, all citing her incompetence. Even more domestic fields were beyond her, as she was refused for lacking the attention and the drive to achieve much in the way of creation. Despite this, Madison had nothing but confidence in Ellie, encouraging her to join the Thauamaturge's Guild. Under the tutelage of then-Guildmaster Mumuepo, Ellie attempted to learn the arts of Thaumaturgy. This was when the Guild made a discovery: Ellie was incredibly dense and luminescent with aether, enough to rival even the infamous Ququruka! However, a major downside was discovered: Ellie's aether was nigh uncontrollable, disorienting the girl and inhibiting her ability to grow, even if she had the potential. Without much of a gesture, she'd passively generate Manawards and Manawalls, making her far more durable than her lack of strength would imply, but her ability to actually direct spells was still flawed. Although her basic Banish and Scourge spells were impressive, she couldn't easily manifest more powerful spells. Disappointed by the failure, he threw out the Keeper, considering her some sort of fool.

When she was seventeen, her sister was sent out into the fronts of Cartenaeu, fighting a battle that was merely to hold of Garlemald... for a brief respite. Ellie heard eerie singing for several days, even as the moon Dalamud began to fall. When she tried to tell others about it, nobody listened. Soon, it appeared as if the moon was igniting, as a great and powerful dragon had emerged... Bahamut, the Dreadwyrm, had soon set about setting the whole Realm asunder, with bursts of fire and brimstone.

To those who don't know Ellie or for those Ellie doesn't trust, she would say that she resigned herself to failure as she couldn't meet the lofty hopes of her sister. However, upon reaching eighteen, she devoured a crystal, and fell from a cliff, surviving and becoming a male Duskwight, and believing herself to be as such. Her life would be frought with self-inflicted stupidity, including sleeping in a flaming torch and causing herself to be possessed by a succubus as a result, and yet the Keeper has a shakiness, a dishonest twitch when she relates this.

To those who know the truth, however... the tale is much more grim.

The truth of what happened to Ellie starting with the Calamity, was when she began to see the horrid atrocities committed by Nael van Darnus. This revelation horrified and angered Ellie, as she wandered into the fields of Thanalan, seeking some sort of justice.
