Basic Info

Ithani Isield, also known as "Ithi" by her friends and those who she loves. A sergeant within the Maelstrom, but only needs to show up when being called for or out of her own accord. She's Garlean from origin but has never really known her real parents, it was suspected she could use the Echo and got handed over to a research facility, making her childhood a true nightmare.

Appearance & Personality

Ithani is a rather tall Miqo'te, having a well shaped and toned body, not relying on brute strength but more on precision and her speed, although she is rather strong. She's usually very calm and collected, keeping a constant notion of her surroundings. She got long purple hair with green highlights, most of the time a braid in her hair at the back. Her skin is very pale and has dark green eyes, some might say like emeralds, the right eye carries a scar from a fight during her years of service.

Biography

Ithani was born in Ala Mhigo just a year after the Garleans had occupied it, her parents were both soldiers of the Legion responsible. When she was around five years old Ithani showed strange behaviour, she would faint at times and ended up having nosebleeds as memories from others invaded her mind. It didn't took long before she got branded a Beastmen by the Garleans and was handed over to a remote research facility by her parent no less, who were loyalists and considered Ithani a abomination. The next five years were spent in captivity, subjected to various experiments and torture. After those years she would never see such memories ever again.

It was a miracle in itself that Ithani survived for so long, but she was though yet became a shell of her former self, everything that happened locked away deep in her mind. A few months after she turned ten, the facility where Ithani was being kept was under attack by rebels, whom were aware of what happened over there. Amongst the rebels was the mother of S'ena Nisha who took Ithani along with her, since she had a daughter around her age. Ithani was one of the "lucky" few that came out alive, physically and mentally scarred. After that she was brought along to Limsa Lominsa, where she slowly recovered till she reached the age of eleven due to being taken in by S'ena Nisha's family. Except for her name Ithani knew nothing about herself, but grew up happily with S'ena. Yet she saw Limsa Lominsa as her new home and wanted nothing more in that time to join up with the Maelstrom so she could help protect it and get back at the Garleans some day for whom she carried a great hatred.

Since she was obviously still to young to join the Maelstrom she asked others to help her out with teaching and training how to fight, surely there could come no harm from that and this way she could at least practice and gain some experience for the future. This was the only thing she kept doing for the upcoming years, having barely any interest for anything else since she was to determined to keep improving herself. The time that she wasnt doing so, Ithani would always try to spend her time with S'ena on whom she started to get a crush. Finally the time came that Ithani could sign up with the Maelstrom when she was around fourteen years old, after having showed off her the results of her training. This was where her real training started, preferring various kinds of swords, shield and body as her weapons. She considered lances for cowards who fight from a distance and axes just weren't her thing, although she does know how to use them.

Her career was a rather fortunate one and she rose through the ranks rather quickly during the first four years, ending up as Sergeant. The day Ithani got her promotion she got the sabre she's currently still using as a gift. It's one of her most treasured possesions. Despite her loyalty towards the Maelstrom just before she reached the age of nineteen, Ithani wanted to see more of Eorzea itself and she managed to struck a deal with her superiors, allowed to join up with whatever Free Company she wants yet she's still enlisted with the Maelstrom only to return when the situation deems it necesarry or if she does so out of her own accord, still assisting them with operations from time to time.
