Saran is a powerful dragoon trained at a young age in Ishgard and proven in nearly constant combat since the age of 11, after the death of his family when they were purged as heretics Saran was taken in by a group of pirates after he made it to the coast escaping the fate of his family.From there he gained knowledge of sailing and fighting on the seas. Becoming a well known person within the Limsa Lominsa private districts, he along with many other were dragged into the war with the Garlean empire. Saran his group of pirates decided to end it by attacking and killing the Garlean forces leaders however this plan was stopped by the events of the calamity where in Saran lost a second family to him and began wandering as a drunk around Eorzea taking odd jobs as a mercenary.
