GENERAL INFO

Lukas Madrazo is just your typical Neutral-aligned Treasure Hunter wanting to go down in history one way or another. Leader of Team Red, a company dedicated to treasure hunting while operating in the comfort of a small pawn shop in Mist. Lukas is also an ex-thief, which is a reason the name he goes by doesn't sound anything like a typical Miqo'te name. But that'll be covered in the Backstory.

Lukas' personality is a mix between laid back and super determined. While he enjoys to lay around the house and read comic books, he wont pass up a chance at a daring adventure. Lukas also often comes off as arrogant, one of the things on his wishlist is a statue of himself looking heroic. He can easily be described as someone who believes they're already a legend and trying to live up to the life of being a legend. However, he isn't quite a legend yet.

APPEARANCE

Like most people, Lukas carries himself based off of his life experiences. For him thats a stride of confidence along with a cocky smirk. He stands at about five fulm, eight ilm, which is considerably tall for a Miqo'te male. His body is about 172 ponze of lean athletic muscle due to the typical day to day adventurer lifestyle. He has medium length shaggy black hair and his skin is a dark tan which easily gives away the fact that he is originally from the Thanalan reigon of Eorzea.

Lukas will rarely be seen without his lucky red goggles, which he keeps several pairs of, incase a pair cracks or something of the like. On his left ear, there's a bomb earring which, coincidentally, is actually a small cherry bomb [which he's named Killer Queen]. It doesn't have much strength behind it, it's more of a slick little distraction. Since we're on the topic of left sides, his cheek also has what he refers to as a "fancy scar" which was given to him by an ex-girlfriend at the age of seventeen. Their relationship was cut short thanks to her walking in on Lukas cheating on her with a Hyur wench.

Lukas is usually seen wearing light clothes, nothing too heavy so that he can relax in the clothes he'd wear for combat. He carries a large revolver on his back which he's named Bad Company.

LIKES ■ Apkallu He has a thing for birds, that much is true. However, above any type of bird, Lukas is a total sucker for Apkallu. "What? They're cute." ■ Airships He's always been fascinated by the idea of flight, the sky just gives a great feeling of freedom. Lukas absolutely loves airships and will likely admire the design of almost any type he finds nice looking enough, even if the ship may belong to an enemy. ■ Technology Lukas has a great appreciation for technology, such as turrets and magitek bi-pedal walkers. He's very likely to take something apart given the opportunity to figure out how it works. ■ Riddles While he may not be an expert at solving riddles, Lukas greatly enjoys a brain exercise and will insist that no one gives him the answer. ■ Limsa Lominsa Lukas wasn't born in Limsa Lomsina, however, it is where he grew up. Lots and lots of fond memories lie in the city for him and he's proud to be from there. ■ Gambling The thrill of gambling truly excites him, despite the odds being against you, the fact that winning is still a possible outcome prevents him from walking away. He might have a problem.

DISLIKES ■ Voidsent Well of course, almost any sane person would dislike Voidsent. This is true, but Lukas has had a few bad encounters with them and they just creep him out. ■ Nobles He finds them irritating, of course there may be some decent nobles out there but he's dealt with too many that just left a bad taste in his mouth. ■ Losing Lukas can lose a friendly fight, smile and say "Good fight," sure. But when he's fighting to prove something or anything that might be more serious to him, he dwells on it. ■ Half-assed Plans Lukas can smell a half-assed plan miles away, and it's a pet peeve to someone who prefers tactical approaches. "Your plans represent you, take pride in 'em!" ■ The Black Shroud Not only does Lukas have a bounty on his head there, but he's also got allergies. He avoids going there as much as he can. ■ Working for Free Often Lukas gets dragged along to do some kind of task that definitely makes you look like a good person for doing it, but nothing kills Lukas' motivation like no pay.

MOTIVATION ■ Money Money makes the world go round, everyone needs it at some point. ■ Adventure Lukas enjoys seeing new places, he'll likely dive at the opportunity to travel somewhere uncharted. ■ Solid Plans If there's a plan that Lukas is acting according to, and that plan is 100% fool-proof, Lukas is so there. Of course, realistically, there aren't many plans that can be 100% fool-proof. ■ Progress Lukas loves being able to look back and see how far he's come, anything that promises progress will likely fuel Lukas' will. ■ Experience Lukas is a very hands-on learner, if there's something he's never done before he'll be anxious to try it out for the first time.

STRENGTHS ■ Level Headed Lukas prides himself on being able to keep a cool head when things get tough. It's something he struggled with in the past. ■ Reading Others Lukas is good at reading body language, or simply finding out something about someone that they aren't directly putting on display. ■ Good Listener Lukas may not advertise this about himself much, but when a friend comes to him with a problem, he's quick to listen and assist in finding a solution to their problem. ■ Mechanically Inclined Lukas is a natural at figuring out things such as robotics and can even create a few small automatons. He can repair almost any vehicle along with knowing how to operate them. ■ Charismatic Lukas can be outgoing and likeable, mainly due to his relaxed persona, making easily approachable. He's also known to be quite the charmer. Sometimes. ■ Confident Confident is a nice way of putting it, cocky fits better though.

WEAKNESSES ■ Gambling As mentioned earlier, despite the success rate being 7%, Lukas will likely take that chance, which obviously has a 93% chance of going bad. ■ Cleavage Lukas will stare, and it can easily screw him over depending on the situation. ■ Nonchalant He often comes off as the type who just doesn't care, despite him actually caring or not. ■ Passive While not overly passive, there are plenty of times where Lukas could have prevented something bad from happening, though he wrote it off as none of his business. ■ Romantic Commitment Lukas is in no way ready to settle down, so to avoid leading someone on, he refuses to get in an exclusive relationship.

QUIRKS ■ Goggles They stay on a good 80% of the time. ■ Flirty Nothing breaks the ice quite like Lukas trying to get into your panties. ■ Posing Lukas can seem pretty theatrical when it comes to striking a pose. ■ Seat Check! If all the seats are taken and you stand up, Lukas might just steal your chair.

BACKSTORY

It all started when Lukas was about ten years old, a young Miqo'te boy who was actually known as L'oro Tia. He was just enjoying the life of the Viper tribe out in Eastern Thanalan. Often, L'oro would go find a stick and go pretend to be some kind of warrior. So, one day he was doing just that and decided to pretend that he was breaking into an enemy fortress. In order to get in without being detected, he had to hide in a particular crate and wait for patrols to go by. While he waited, he felt the crate being moved around, he knew he needed to keep quiet if he didn't want to be detected. Once the crate settled, he'd then try to break out only to discover that he couldn't! So, left with no other choice, L'oro waited until he actually could break free. Which wasn't until hours and hours later.

By the time he managed to get out of the crate, he found himself surrounded by several other crates in a supply closet. He crawled over the crates and made his way through the door only to find himself in the Bismark restaurant in Limsa Lominsa. He was dumbfounded, a fish out of water. His initial reaction was panic, though try as he might, he could not get home. He was left broke and in the middle of Limsa Lominsa. So, like any scrawny kid would do, he began to pickpocket. He was planning to raise enough money to take a ferry back home, but he ended up getting involved with a smalltime gang in Limsa. The gang he was in gave him that sense of family, and he later had no desire to go home. By the age of sixteen, he ditched pickpocketting and became a full-on thief. Robbing carriages in La Noscea, breaking into homes, even venturing about with a few pirates. He ended up getting a twenty-thousand gil bounty on him, which lead to him ditching the name L'oro Tia.

By the time he was seventeen, the calamity hit, and chaos ensued. His gang split, most everyone went their separate ways. Thieving was all Lukas knew, so that's what he continued. Around the age of twenty-one, he met a Miqo'te by the name of W'komara Jhida, who became sort of a mentor to Lukas. Once again, the family-like feeling got Lukas. While W'komara never directly disagreed with Lukas' thieving ways, she did constantly try to talk him into doing something less illegal. Eventually, she got through to Lukas which lead to him becoming a Treasure Hunter. It's like being a thief, just... less illegal. Lukas now twenty-three years old and has been sticking to Treasure Hunting ever since.

RELATIONS note: Characters Lukas has come across. Updated as the story unfolds! Luna Quinn Met in Central Thanalan. Lukas accidentally hit Luna with his chocobo, when she was knocked unconscious, Lukas panicked, assuming the worst and was going to bury her. But then she woke up and Luna seems to think he saved her life. J'talhdi Belhii J'talhdi, one of the people who's probably had enough of Lukas' shit. These two insult eachother often, but it's in a playful manner. J'talhdi also punches hard. Noa Lanbatal Met through an old employer, Lukas and Noa have worked together several times. He often mocks her by saying that she's drowning in appointments, due to her busybody lifestyle. Mandy Arixan Lukas first met Mandy in Pearl Lane, she was homeless and asking for spare change. Lukas didn't have any money on him on their first encounter, but he made sure to bring her a sandwich the next time they met. Mandy seemed like a decent person and Lukas let her stay with him, time passed and they developed a strong sibling-like relationship. N'aomi Kett Lukas met N'aomi through Mandy. N'aomi is currently the leader of the Outriders Free Company and can be pretty silly when she's not totally stressed out. Lukas enjoys her company and actively tries to help her wherever he can. Kri'sie Crimson'lion Kindred spirits, crossed paths in the Quicksand. Buddies for life. Ramona Zale Ramona's another one of those people who probably had enough of Lukas' shit. They're company-mates and Lukas constantly pokes fun at Ramona due to her Ishgardian ways. note: More coming soon!
