[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION Talia is a Thavnairian native who has lived in Thanalan (and Ul'dah, for a short time) with her brother since the age of 16. Trained in the martial arts, she is a talented fighter who recently registered with the Pugilist and Adventurers' Guilds in Ul'dah. However, she's also looking for a steady job as adventuring alone has proved a hard deal. While she still has much to learn due to her sheltered years, Talia is driven by a desire to become stronger and find her place in the world. And, of course, thinking of what to do with her wayward brother. Currently, Talia can most commonly be found in Ul'dah. She will occasionally be found traveling in nearby Thanalan territories while on adventuring quests. APPEARANCE Talia's frame is notably petite, standing at below-average height among fellow Hyur. Her skin is a deep, rich brown accentuated by light, yet defined, musculature from years of physical training. Her eyes are pale golden and she sports short-cut "pixie" black hair. Talia will most often be seen wearing clothes of leather, goatskin and hempen make. Her wear tends to be form-fitting yet nonrestrictive - practical yet comfortable. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Petite frame ■ Browned skin ■ Light golden eyes PERSONALITY Most first encounters with Talia will leave others thinking she is pleasant enough, if not a bit transactional. Talia is not one to speak more than necessary, at least not when it comes to everyday interactions with those she doesn't know well. She is also morally strict for a frequenter of Ul'dahn districts and cares little for the society which allows misdeeds to slide under the law of coin. Negative experiences with Ul'dahn culture have left Talia very distrusting and contribute to her withdrawn nature, especially within the city-state. Getting to know Talia beyond the surface level reveals a bright and energetic spirit who laughs a lot and loves cute things. Helping others is a passion, though she's still searching for a greater purpose and place in life. L I K E S ■ Pink. Talia's favorite color. Bad memories and the culture of coin put Talia at odds with the city-state. She tends to keep to herself during visits. ■ Serpents. Something about their writhing, elongated scaly bodies are very unsettling to Talia. She doesn't care for them in any form. H O B B I E S ■ Dancing.Her greatest passion. Talia first learned to dance from her mother, who was a Thavnairian dancer. ■ Training. A pugilist and Monk-in-training, Talia is dedicated to her martial training. G R E A T E S T S T R E N G T H ■ Strong-willed. Talia has experienced much loss, but perseveres. She does not allow sorrow to stop her from moving forward, even if she doesn't know where she is going. G R E A T E S T W E A K N E S S E S ■ Stubbornness. Talia does not like to compromise her morals, which are very strict. Not even a small lie sits right with her even if it's for good reason. Feel free to contact me anytime if you want to discuss RP. As mentioned under General Information, right now Talia is only available for RP in Ul'dah and Thanalan. She has yet to travel outside of these lands on her own. Personal RP Limits In general, if the RP can have any important or serious consequences I ask that it be discussed with me OOC. Also, I think certain aspects of lore can be flexible. Jobs, mainly. I know some think that certain jobs are WOL-exclusive. Personally, I'm okay with RPing as the job you play in-game. If your character has good reasons to have learned what they know then I'm cool with it. ■ I will play Mature and dark RP such as violence, drugs, alcohol and sexual themes. These are okay as long as the plot is appropriately involved. Talia is a good girl with a strong sense of justice and can easily find herself opposed to characters of a more malignant persuasion, for better or worse. I'm not looking for frequent combat RP, but if it happens I like to discuss OOC how we want to go about it to avoid any messiness. ■ I won't play Blatantly lore-breaking RP or the permanent death of my character. Permanent injury will only happen if it's something I want for my character. Disclaimer Little Tidbits. ■ If something happens during RP that I'm not okay with, I will definitely reach out and communicate. Please do the same with me. ■ I may have to leave or void roleplay if it's determined at any point that a character involved is not lore-adherent. Otherwise, I prefer to just not acknowledge the lorebreaking aspect of the RP. I think a certain amount of flexibility with lore is okay but if someone starts summoning a dark, evil Garuda with shadow powers then I'm probably going to step away. CHARACTER TIDBITS Potential Plot Hooks A few ideas for possible RP interactions: ■ Adventurer in need? Talia frequents levemetes as of late, as a newly registered adventurer. Perhaps she pulls a guildleve/levequest that you were interested in? ■ Talia can be found at the pugilist guild fairly regularly. She trains religiously. Maybe your character is interested in being a mentor, sparring partner, or just wants to talk about martial arts. ■ For certain reasons, Talia is not terribly fond of Ala Mhigan men. She avoids them and certainly wouldn't care to be approached directly by them. Character Lore Adherence I definitely do my best to make sure I'm within lore bounds. That said, I have recently returned to the game after years away and I'm new to the RP scene. If there are any mistakes I'll be sure to fix them right up.
