She was brought into this world during the Sixth Astral Era on the twenty-first day of beneath the Fifth Umbral Moon in the year of 1554. She was raised by her pride who lived in Gyn Abania under the rule of King Theoderic before the fall of Ala Mihgo. Her father was a great warrior, a Monk underneath the teachings of the Fist of Rhalgr. Under the rule of the King of Ruin the monastery and its residents were all but completely wiped out. Her father had escaped, maimed. He had lost his left arm, but would continue to lead his pride. It was after this did her family travel across the Erozean plains as the political climate of Ala Mihgo only seemed to sink from that day on. Traveling east along the Velodyna River they would soon reach the hinterlands of Coerthas. But even here they would find no shelter from the raising conflict that seemed to consume the mainlands. With the stirring of civil war between the Ishgardians and their kin the Kins tribe traveled further south. Along the way Ragan was born, among many brothers and sisters as it was. By her third nameday they would reach the reaches of Mor Dhona. Nothing seemed sacred. They felt cursed for Mor Dhona soon fell under the control of Garlemeld. An accident at one of their facilities contaminated the land, causing it to fester and crystalize. The village where they had settled came under crossfire during the Garleans and their battle with a nearby, woken, Primal. Kins, the pride male, died on that day, leaving his mates and children to continue on. In time they were able to gather strength and travel on, eventually they were able to find home again in the deserts of Thanalan where they lived and worked as merchants. It was a difficult time. Theft was rampant, survival difficult. By her fifteenth nameday she was completely on her own. As Ragan lived and grew she survived best she could, but much of that and what was before -- is lost to her. Her memories were consumed out at sea, a terrible accident suffered, though under what circumstance is still out there upon the currents. She woke up adrift at sea amidst a wreckage, fished out by the Bloody Executioners and left to find her own way by the Edelweiss Sister’s establishment. The remainder of her pride were likely dead by disease, starvation, or scattered amongst the underworld that enveloped the once civilized city-states. What she could remember was that she lived much of the remainder of it -- on the sea and there she wished to return. For now her adventure takes her forward so she could piece together what was behind her and fill in the blank, foggy details. So much of her past remains unknown.
