[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION WIP APPEARANCE Almost shockingly beautiful by most standards. Soft, round cheeks, a dainty chin and nose, large, tilted eyes, delicate but full lips, it's hard not to be drawn in by every feature. Her white hair is long and soft, usually kept pulled back with a black ribbon, and her skin is just as fair. The bright crimson of her eyes is a stark but not unpleasant contrast to her pale complexion, but they are cold and cruel. Her face is permanently stuck in a bitchy scowl that still manages to be alluring. Covered in sleek, springy muscle, yet still possessing of seductive curves. She is aware of how pretty people find her and uses it to her advantage regularly. It makes it particularly easy to get close to people who need to be stabbed, either with her knives or the sharp spines that line the length of her tail. At 4'8" she stands much smaller than almost everyone...except Lalafell, of course. Mentioning her height is a sure way to end up stabbed. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Height (4'8"--she's tiny) ■ Particularly spiny tail, often used as weapon ■ Bad case of resting bitchface PERSONALITY Aggressive, confrontational, crude...anything one would expect for someone clearly compensating for their below-average size. However, Cyla's emotional immaturity also leaves her vulnerable. Showing her repeated, altruistic kindness is a sure way to confuse her, and if you somehow manage to befriend her, she will reveal a desperate, lonely clinginess while trying to drive you away. Then there's the borderline psychopathic sadism... L I K E S ■ Bloodshed. Nothing will make Cyla smile so brilliantly or laugh so joyously or show motivation like the promise of bringing pain and death to someone that is not her or hers...and if it's been long enough, those who fall under "hers" may be acceptable targets anyway. ■ Cold. Highly prefers cold, dark weather. She likes snow; it's easy for her to hide in. ■ "Adult Relations." It's generally as close as she'll get to other people outside of combat. Sure it's a fun activity on its own, but it's clear from her behaviors that it's an obvious substitute for the intimacy she lacks in any other part of her life. D I S L I K E S ■ Other People. Social interaction is not exactly her forte, and a vast majority of people just piss her off. ■ Water. Specifically deep water. She can swim just fine, and does when necessary, but the activity is borne with unmatched terror. Even crossing small streams she will sometimes put up a disproportionate fight. ■ Her Height. She is practically a prodigy with a knife. Why did the gods curse her to appear weak to others? ■ Mind-Altering Substances. Rather dislikes the feeling of most, and they don't fill the void as well as other things. H O B B I E S ■ Murder. Sure, assassination is how she keeps herself fed for the most part, but really she just enjoys spilling blood. ■ Acrobatics. If the whole crime thing stops paying off or she gets tired of killing people (unlikely), she could probably make a decent living at a circus or the like. S T R E N G T H S ■ Apathy. It's useful in her line of work to be able to not put oneself in another's shoes. ■ Speed and Stealth. Good luck spotting her if she wants to stay hidden. Even in combat, she is quick and slippery, making her difficult to hit while she slices tendons and punctures organs. ■ Beauty. No one can deny it helps to be attractive. ■ Skill. She always knows just how to move and just where to stick her knife for maximum effect. Her whole existence revolves around ending others' lives, it's no surprise that she has gotten good at it. W E A K N E S S E S ■ Overconfidence. Both in everyday life and in battle, she consistently ranks herself above others. Beyond how annoying this can make her to deal with, it gets her in trouble with any authority figure and often clouds her judgment. ■ Inflexibility. Get in, take a life, get out. If she is involved in any plan more complex than that, she can get confused or just refuse to adhere to directions in favor of keeping her work familiar. ■ Emotions...any of them. Cyla doesn't know how to handle her own feelings, much less someone else's. She's prone to pushing away friends, botching alliances, and creating unnecessary enmity. A successful attack on her psyche is both relatively easy to carry out and crippling to her focus. M O T I V A T I O N S ■ Escape - Despite outward indication to the contrary, Cyla knows that she lives a pitiful, meaningless existence. She seeks out pleasures and distractions to avoid confronting her own problems.
