At her core, Laurel is governed by  her curiosity. It manifests as a penchant for enquiry, regardless of the subject’s appropriateness or perceived intimacy. This trait can be perceived as somewhat of a contrast to her soft-spoken demeanor and has a tendency to catch those she interacts with off guard.

She harbors a belief in a bigger picture. Within her peers, she seems to analyze shifts in sentiments, changes in habits, and variances in ideals as if they are all interwoven - even if they aren’t. This leads her to take time in social situations to observe and sometimes arrive at vastly incorrect conclusions, piecing the interactions of those around her together like a puzzle. Without an understanding of the relationships surrounding her, Laurel doesn’t seem to have the capacity to fully relax. Perhaps just as important, she strives to be understood herself.
