He became a father figure to her and added much structure to her life mentally and socially. While Natasha Hara approves of these two being together, she cannot help but worry for her daughter at the looming Garlean's threatened to throw Eorzea into a war and she couldn't bare the thought of Inessa going off and never returning. Phalanx reassures Nathasha and swears on his life that he will be with Inessa the entire time and recklessly defend her at the cost of his life, as he was a master who had not finished teaching his pupil.
