General

Unlike most characters in ARR, Niklas Gran is royalty, specifically a prince. He is the crown prince to the far-away kingdom of Gran. Therefore he is not an Eorzean native.

Appearance

Niklas stands at 5'9", a little taller than Faye Covington. He is rather normal-looking for a prince, preferring to move around like his non-royal friends. He has a medium tan skin with olive-colored eyes, dark brown hair, and good muscle tone. He prefers to wear the same kind of clothes as the others.

Personality

Niklas has a pure heart, and an benevolent & compassionate nature, hating war for the deaths, misery and agony it comes with. However, from time to time, he has shown to be quite arrogant and hot-blooded; some consider it a split personality, but in truth, he just gets excited when fighting competitively.

Combat

I consider my sword to be an extension of myself, and my shield as its partner.

General

Niklas is a swordsman, more specifically a Gladiator. He has been taught in the way of the sword since he was little by his father, the king. He also tries to be proficient with other weapons. An unique trait of his bloodline is the (currently latent) ability to use Fire magic.

• Rena Gran: Niklas's younger sister who is the princess of Gran. After being separated from her brother, her location is currently unknown, but finding her is one of Niklas's goals.
• Croix Gran: The late king of Gran, and Niklas and Rena's late father. He fell in battle to Gaius during the invasion.

Friends

• Faye Covington: A Support Saint of the Harbingers of Dawn, and their Support Branch Leader. When she first appeared to Niklas, he saw her as nice and benevolent, although he is currently oblivious to her true nature.

History/Timeline

Gran and the Invasion

Gran is an once-prosperous kingdom which was in an era of piece, until the day that the Garleans came and ravaged everything. Soldiers were killed, families were separated. The king, Croix Gran, was locked in battle against their leader, Gaius van Baelsar, and lost. To protect the family, as Croix's last wish, the two children, Niklas and his sister Rena were separated to go to distant lands to rebuild their legacy.
